1 To
you, LORD, I call.
My
rock, don't be deaf to me;
Lest,
if you are silent to me,
I
would become like those who go down into the pit.
2 Hear
the voice of my petitions, when I cry to you,
When
I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.
3 Don't
draw me away with the wicked,
With
the workers of iniquity who speak shalom with their neighbors,
But
mischief is in their hearts.
4 Give
them according to their work,
and
according to the wickedness of their doings.
Give
them according to the operation of their hands.
Bring
back on them what they deserve.
5 Because
they don't regard the works of the LORD,
Nor
the operation of his hands,
He
will break them down and not build them up.
6 Blessed
be the LORD,
Because
he has heard the voice of my petitions.
7
The LORD is my strength and my shield.
My
heart has trusted in him, and I am helped.
Therefore
my heart greatly rejoices.
With
my song I will thank him.
8 The
LORD is their strength.
He
is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.
9 Save
your people, and bless your inheritance.
Be
their shepherd also, and bear them up forever.
PSALMS:
58
1 Do
you indeed speak righteousness, silent ones?
Do
you judge blamelessly, you sons of men?
2 No,
in your heart you plot injustice.
You
measure out the violence of your hands in the eretz.
3
The
wicked go astray from the womb.
They
are wayward as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
4 Their
poison is like the poison of a snake;
Like
a deaf cobra that stops its ear,
5 Which
doesn't listen to the voice of charmers,
No
matter how skillful the charmer may be.
6Break
their teeth, God, in their mouth.
Break
out the great teeth of the young lions, LORD.
7 Let
them vanish as water that flows away.
When
they draw the bow, let their arrows be made blunt.
8 Let
them be as a snail which melts and passes away,
Like
the stillborn child, who has not seen the sun.
9 Before
your pots can feel the thorns,
He
will sweep away, the green and the burning alike.
10 The
righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance.
He
shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked;
11 So
that men shall say, "Most assuredly there is a reward for the
righteous.
Most
assuredly there is a God who judges the eretz."
PSALMS:

1 LORD,
the God of my salvation,
I
have cried day and night before you.
2 Let
my prayer enter into your presence.
Turn
your ear to my cry.
3 For
my soul is full of troubles.
My
life draws near to She'ol.
4 I
am counted among those who go down into the pit.
I
am like a man who has no help,
5 Set
apart among the dead,
Like
the slain who lie in the grave,
Whom
you remember no more.
They
are cut off from your hand.
6 You
have laid me in the lowest pit,
In
the darkest depths.
7
Your wrath lies heavily on me.
You
have afflicted me with all your waves.
Selah.
8 You
have taken my friends from me.
You
have made me an abomination to them.
I
am confined, and I can't escape.
9 My
eyes are dim from grief.
I
have called on you daily, LORD.
I
have spread out my hands to you.
10 Do
you show wonders to the dead?
Do
the dead rise up and praise you? Selah.
11 Is
your loving kindness declared in the grave?
Or
your faithfulness in Destruction?
12 Are
your wonders made known in the dark?
Or
your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13 But
to you, LORD, I have cried.
In
the morning, my prayer comes before you.
14 LORD,
why do you reject my soul?
Why
do you hide your face from me?
15 I
am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up.
While
I suffer your terrors, I am distracted.
16 Your
fierce wrath has gone over me.
Your
terrors have cut me off.
17 They
came around me like water all day long.
They
completely engulfed me.
18 You
have put lover and friend far from me,
And
my friends into darkness.
PSALMS:

1 Praise
the LORD!
Praise
the LORD from the heavens!
Praise
him in the heights!
2 Praise
him, all his angels!
Praise
him, all his host!
3 Praise
him, sun and moon!
Praise
him, all you shining stars!
4
Praise
him, you heavens of heavens,
You
waters that are above the heavens.
5 Let
them praise the name of the LORD, ‘
For
he commanded, and they were created.
6 He
has also established them forever and ever.
He
has made a decree which will not pass away.
7 Praise
the LORD from the eretz,
You
great sea creatures, and all depths!
8 Lightning
and hail, snow and clouds;
Stormy
wind, fulfilling his word;
9 Mountains
and all hills;
Fruit
trees and all cedars;
10 Wild
animals and all cattle;
Small
creatures and flying birds;
11 Kings
of the eretz and all peoples;
Princes
and all judges of the eretz;
12 Both
young men and maidens;
Old
men and children:
13 Let
them praise the name of the LORD,
For
his name alone is exalted.
His
glory is above the eretz and the heavens.
14
He
has lifted up the horn of his people,
The
praise of all his holy ones;
Even
of the children of Yisra'el, a people near to him.
Praise
the LORD!
PROVERBS:

1 The
wicked flee when no one pursues;
But
the righteous are as bold as a lion.
2 In
rebellion, a land has many rulers,
But
order is maintained by a man of understanding and knowledge.
3 A
needy man who oppresses the poor
Is
like a driving rain which leaves no crops.
4 Those
who forsake the law praise the wicked;
But
those who keep the law contend with them.
5 Evil
men don't understand justice;
But
those who seek the LORD understand it fully.
6 Better
is the poor who walks in his integrity,
Than
he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich.
7 Whoever
keeps the law is a wise son;
But
he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father.
8 He
who increases his wealth by excessive interest
Gathers
it for one who has pity on the poor.
9 He
who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
Even
his prayer is an abomination.
10 Whoever
causes the upright to go astray in an evil way,
He
will fall into his own trap;
But
the blameless will inherit good.
11 The
rich man is wise in his own eyes;
But
the poor who has understanding sees through him.
12 When
the righteous triumph, there is great glory;
But
when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.
13 He
who conceals his sins doesn't prosper,
But
whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
14
Blessed
is the man who always fears;
But
one who hardens his heart falls into trouble.
15 As
a roaring lion or a charging bear,
So
is a wicked ruler over helpless people.
16 The
ruler who lacks judgment is a great tyrant.
One
who hates ill-gotten gain will have long days.
17 A
man who is tormented by life blood will be a fugitive until death;
No
one will support him.
18 Whoever
walks blamelessly is kept safe;
But
one with perverse ways will fall suddenly.
19 One
who works his land will have an abundance of food;
But
one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
20 A
faithful man is rich with blessings;
But
one who is eager to be rich will not go unpunished.
21 To
show partiality is not good;
Yet
a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.
22 A
stingy man hurries after riches,
And
doesn't know that poverty waits for him.
23 One
who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor
Than
one who flatters with the tongue.
24
Whoever
robs his father or his mother, and says,
"It's
not wrong."
He
is a partner with a destroyer.
25 One
who is greedy stirs up strife;
But
one who trusts in the LORD will prosper.
26 One
who trusts in himself is a fool;
But
one who walks in wisdom, he is kept safe.
27
One
who gives to the poor has no lack;
But
one who closes his eyes will have many curses.
28 When
the wicked rise, men hide themselves;
But
when they perish, the righteous thrive.
OLD
TESTAMENT:
ISAIAH 25:1 - 28:13
25:1 The
LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for
you have done wonderful things, [even] counsels of old, in
faithfulness [and] truth. 2 For
you have made of a city a heap, of a fortified city a ruin, a palace
of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. 3 Therefore
shall a strong people glorify you; a city of awesome nations shall
fear you. 4 For
you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in
his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when
the blast of the awesome ones is as a storm against the wall. 5 As
the heat in a dry place will you bring down the noise of strangers;
as the heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the awesome ones
shall be brought low. 6 In
this mountain will the LORD of Hosts make to all peoples a feast of
fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of
marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. 7 He
will destroy in this mountain the surface of the covering that
covers all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all
nations. 8 He
has swallowed up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away
tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he
take away from off all the eretz: for the LORD has spoken it. 9 It
shall be said in that day, Behold, this is our God; we have waited
for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for
him, we will be glad and rejoice in his yeshu`ah. 10 For
in this mountain will the hand of the LORD rest; and Mo'av shall be
trodden down in his place, even as straw is trodden down in the
water of the dung-hill. 11 He
shall spread forth his hands in the midst of it, as he who swims
spreads forth [his hands] to swim; but [the LORD] will lay low his
pride together with the craft of his hands. 12 The
high fortress of your walls has he brought down, laid low, and
brought to the ground, even to the dust.
26:1 In
that day shall this song be sung in the land of Yehudah: we have a
strong city; yeshu`ah will he appoint for walls and bulwarks. 2 Open
you the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps faith may enter
in. 3 You
will keep [him] in perfect shalom, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on
you]; because he trusts in you. 4 Trust
in the LORD forever; for in the LORD, the LORD, is an everlasting
Rock. 5 For
he has brought down those who dwell on high, the lofty city: he lays
it low, he lays it low even to the ground; he brings it even to the
dust. 6 The
foot shall tread it down; even the feet of the poor, and the steps
of the needy. 7 The
way of the just is uprightness: you that are upright do direct the
path of the just. 8 Yes,
in the way of your judgments, the LORD, have we waited for you; to
your name, even to your memorial [name], is the desire of our
soul. 9 With
my soul have I desired you in the night; yes, with my spirit within
me will I seek you earnestly: for when your judgments are in the
eretz, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. 10 Let
favor be shown to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness;
in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not see
the majesty of the LORD. 11 The
LORD, your hand is lifted up, yet they don't see: but they shall see
[your] zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yes, fire shall
devour your adversaries. 12 The
LORD, you will ordain shalom for us; for you have also worked all
our works for us. 13 The
LORD our God, other lords besides you have had dominion over us; but
by you only will we make mention of your name. 14
[They
are] dead, they shall not live; [they are] deceased, they shall not
rise: therefore have you visited and destroyed them, and made all
memory of them to perish. 15 You
have increased the nation, O LORD, you have increased the nation;
you are glorified; you have enlarged all the borders of the
land. 16 LORD,
in trouble have they visited you; they poured out a prayer [when]
your chastening was on them. 17 Like
as a woman with child, who draws near the time of her delivery, is
in pain and cries out in her pangs; so we have been before you,
LORD. 18
We
have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were
brought forth wind; we have not worked any deliverance in the eretz;
neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. 19 Your
dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, you who
dwell in the dust; for your dew is [as] the dew of herbs, and the
eretz shall cast forth the dead. 20
Come,
my people, enter you into your chambers, and shut your doors about
you: hide yourself for a little moment, until the indignation be
past. 21 For,
behold, the LORD comes forth out of his place to punish the
inhabitants of the eretz for their iniquity: the eretz also shall
disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
27:1 In
that day the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will
punish livyatan the swift serpent, and livyatan the crooked serpent;
and he will kill the monster that is in the sea. 2 In
that day: A vineyard of wine, sing you to it. 3 I
the LORD am its keeper; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt
it, I will keep it night and day. 4 Wrath
is not in me: would that the briers and thorns were against me in
battle! I would march on them, I would burn them together. 5 Or
else let him take hold of my strength, that he may make shalom with
me; [yes], let him make shalom with me. 6 In
days to come shall Ya`akov take root; Yisra'el shall blossom and
bud; and they shall fill the surface of the world with fruit. 7 Has
he struck them as he struck those who struck them? or are they slain
according to the slaughter of those who were slain by them? 8 In
measure, when you send them away, you do contend with them; he has
removed [them] with his rough blast in the day of the east
wind. 9 Therefore
by this shall the iniquity of Ya`akov be forgiven, and this is all
the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of
the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in sunder, [so that] the
Asherim and the sun-images shall rise no more. 10 For
the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken,
like the wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he
lie down, and consume the branches of it. 11
When
the boughs of it are withered, they shall be broken off; the women
shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no
understanding: therefore he who made them will not have compassion
on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor. 12 It
shall happen in that day, that the LORD will beat off [his fruit]
from the flood of the River to the brook of Mitzrayim; and you shall
be gathered one by one, you children of Yisra'el. 13 It
shall happen in that day, that a great shofar shall be blown; and
they shall come who were ready to perish in the land of Ashshur, and
those who were outcasts in the land of Mitzrayim; and they shall
worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Yerushalayim.
28:1 Woe
to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Efrayim, and to the fading
flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat
valley of those who are overcome with wine! 2 Behold,
the Lord has a mighty and strong one; as a tempest of hail, a
destroying storm, as a tempest of mighty waters overflowing, will he
cast down to the eretz with the hand. 3 The
crown of pride of the drunkards of Efrayim shall be trodden under
foot: 4 and
the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of
the fat valley, shall be as the first-ripe fig before the summer;
which when he who looks on it sees, while it is yet in his hand he
eats it up. 5 In
that day will the LORD of Hosts become a crown of glory, and a
diadem of beauty, to the residue of his people; 6 and
a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to
those who turn back the battle at the gate. 7 Even
these reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink; the Kohen and
the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine,
they stagger with strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in
judgment. 8 For
all tables are full of vomit [and] filthiness, [so that there is] no
place [clean]. 9 Whom
will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the
message? those who are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the
breasts? 10 For
it is precept on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on
line; here a little, there a little. 11 No,
but by [men of] strange lips and with another language will he speak
to this people; 12 to
whom he said, This is the rest, give you rest to him who is weary;
and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. 13 Therefore
shall the word of the LORD be to them precept on precept, precept on
precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little;
that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and
taken.
NEW
TESTAMENT:
GALATIANS 3:10 - 22
3:10 For
as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is
written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things
that are written in the book of the law, to do them."
11 Now
that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, "The
righteous will live by faith."
12 The
law is not of faith, but, "The man who does them will live by
them."
13 Messiah
redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us.
For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"
14 that
the blessing of Avraham might come on the Goyim through Messiah
Yeshua; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through
faith.
15 Brothers,
I speak like men. Though it is only a man's covenant, yet when it
has been confirmed, no one makes it void, or adds to it.
16 Now
the promises were spoken to Avraham and to his seed. He doesn't say,
"To seeds," as of many, but as of one, "To your
seed," which is Messiah.
17
Now
I say this. A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Messiah, the
law, which came four hundred and thirty years after, does not annul,
so as to make the promise of no effect.
18 For
if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God
has granted it to Avraham by promise.
19 What
then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the
seed should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained
through angels by the hand of a mediator.
20 Now
a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
21 Is
the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if
there had been a law given which could make alive, most assuredly
righteousness would have been of the law.
22 But
the Scriptures shut up all things under sin, that the promise by
faith in Yeshua the Messiah might be given to those who believe.
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." H
