THEinc MESSIANIC PSALMS and PROVERBS

PSALMS

Psalms 3

1 LORD, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me.

2 Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me, My glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

4 I cry to the LORD with my voice, And he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

5 I laid myself down and slept. I awakened; for the LORD sustains me.

6 I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people Who have set themselves against me on every side.

7 Arise, LORD! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.

8 Salvation belongs to the LO

RD. Your blessing be on your people. Selah.

Psalms 33

1 Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright.

2 Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten 1strings.

3 Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!

4 For the word of the LORD is right. All his work is done in faithfulness.

5 He loves righteousness and justice. The eretz is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD.

6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, All the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.

8 Let all the eretz fear the LORD. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

9 For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

10 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

11 The counsel of the LORD stands fast forever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

13 The LORD looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation he looks out on all the inhabitants of the eretz.

15 He who fashions all of their hearts. He considers all of their works.

16 There is no king saved by the multitude of a host. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

17 A horse is a vain thing for safety, Neither does he deliver any by his great power.

18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, On those who hope in his lovingkindness;

19 To deliver their soul from death, To keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul has waited for the LORD. He is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let your lovingkindness be on us, LORD, Since we have hoped in you.

Psalms 63

1 God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you, My flesh longs for you, In a dry and weary land, where there is no water.

2 So I have seen you in the sanctuary, Watching your power and your glory.

3 Because your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise you.

4 So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with the richest food. My mouth shall praise you with joyful lips,

6 When I remember you on my bed, And think about you in the night watches.

7 For you have been my help. I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings.

8 My soul stays close to you. Your right hand holds me up.

9 But those who seek my soul, to destroy it, Shall go into the lower parts of the eretz.

10 They shall be given over to the power of the sword. They shall be jackal food.

11 But the king shall rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will praise him, For the mouth of those who speak lies shall be silenced.

Psalms 93

1 The LORD reigns! He is clothed with majesty! The LORD is armed with strength. The world also is established. It can't be moved.

2 Your throne is established from long ago. You are from everlasting.

3 The floods have lifted up, LORD, The floods have lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their waves.

4 Above the voices of many waters, The mighty breakers of the sea, The LORD on high is mighty.

5 Your statutes stand firm. Holiness adorns your house, LORD, forevermore.

Psalms 123

1 To you I do lift up my eyes, You who sit in the heavens.

2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress; So our eyes look to the LORD, our God, Until he has mercy on us.

3 Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us, For we have endured much contempt.

4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scoffing of those who are at ease, With the contempt of the proud.

PROVERBS

Proverbs 3

1 My son, don't forget my teaching; But let your heart keep my mitzvot:

2 For length of days, and years of life, And shalom, will they add to you.

3 Don't let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 So you will find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And don't lean on your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths.

7 Don't be wise in your own eyes. Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8 It will be health to your body, And nourishment to your bones.

9 Honor the LORD with your substance, With the first fruits of all your increase:

10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

11 My son, don't despise the LORD's discipline, Neither be weary of his reproof:

12 For whom the LORD loves, he reproves; Even as a father the son in whom he delights.

13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, The man who gets understanding.

14 For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver, The profit of it better than fine gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies. None of the things you can desire are to be compared to her.

16 Length of days is in her right hand. In her left hand are riches and honor.

17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness. All her paths are shalom.

18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her. Happy is everyone who retains her.

19 By wisdom the LORD founded the eretz. By understanding, he established the heavens.

20 By his knowledge, the depths were broken up, And the skies drop down the dew.

21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion:

22 So they will be life to your soul, And grace for your neck.

23 Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won't stumble.

24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.

25 Don't be afraid of sudden fear, Neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes:

26 For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being taken.

27 Don't withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do it.

28 Don't say to your neighbor, "Go, and come again, Tomorrow I will give," When you have it by you.

29 Don't devise evil against your neighbor, Seeing he dwells securely by you.

30 Don't strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm.

31 Don't envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways.

32 For the perverse is an abomination to the LORD, But his friendship is with the upright.

33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked, But he blesses the habitation of the righteous.

34 Surely he mocks the mockers, But he gives grace to the humble.

35 The wise will inherit glory, But shame will be the promotion of fools.
