THEinc-HIM Daily Bible Meditation - July 13 - Full Text

Genesis 1:1 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

JULY 13

PSALMS:  13, 43, 73, 103, 133

PROVERBS:  13

OLD TESTAMENT:  ISAIAH 66:1 - 24

NEW TESTAMENT:  PHILIPPIANS 3:4 - 21

PSALMS:  13

1 How long, LORD?
Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart every day?
How long shall my enemy triumph over me?
3 Behold, and answer me, LORD, my God.
Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death;
4 Lest my enemy say, "I have prevailed against him;
" Lest my adversaries rejoice when I fall.
5 But I trust in your loving kindness.
My heart rejoices in your yeshu`ah.
6 I will sing to the LORD,
Because he has been good to me.

PSALMS:  43

1 Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation.
Oh, deliver me from deceitful and wicked men.
2 For you are the God of my strength.
Why have you rejected me?
Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 Oh, send out your light and your truth.
Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill,
To your tents.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God,
To God, my exceeding joy.
I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.
5 Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!
For I shall still praise him,
The saving help of my face, and my God.

PSALMS:  73

1 Surely God is good to Yisra'el,
To those who are pure in heart.
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone.
My steps had nearly slipped.
3 For I was envious of the arrogant,
When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 For there are no struggles in their death,
But their strength is firm.
5 They are free from burdens of men,
Neither are they plagued like other men.
6 Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck.
Violence covers them like a garment.
7 Their eyes bulge with fat.
Their minds pass the limits of conceit.
8 They scoff and speak with malice.
In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
9 They have set their mouth in the heavens.
Their tongue walks through the eretz.
10 Therefore their people return to them,
And they drink up waters of abundance.
11 They say, "How does God know?
Is there knowledge in Ha`Elyon?"
12 Behold, these are the wicked.
Being always at ease, they increase in riches.
13 Surely in vain I have cleansed my heart,
And washed my hands in innocence,
14 For all day long have I been plagued,
And punished every morning.
15 If I had said, "I will speak thus;"
Behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
16 When I tried to understand this,
It was too painful for me;
17  Until I entered God's sanctuary,
And considered their latter end.
18 Surely you set them in slippery places.
You throw them down to destruction.
19 How they are suddenly destroyed!
They are completely swept away with terrors.
20 As a dream when one wakes up,
So, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
21 For my soul was grieved.
I was embittered in my heart.
22 I was so senseless and ignorant.
I was a brute beast before you.
23 Nevertheless, I am continually with you.
You have held my right hand.
24 You will guide me with your counsel,
And afterward receive me to glory.
25 Who do I have in heaven?
There is no one on eretz who I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart fails,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
27 For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish.
You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.
28 But it is good for me to come close to God.
I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,
That I may tell of all your works.

PSALMS:  103

1 Praise the LORD, my soul!
All that is within me, praise his holy name!
2 Praise the LORD, my soul,
And don't forget all his benefits;
3 Who forgives all your sins;
Who heals all your diseases;
4 Who redeems your life from destruction;
Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfies your desire with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6 The LORD executes righteous acts,
And justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moshe,
His deeds to the children of Yisra'el.
8 The LORD is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.
9 He will not always accuse;
Neither will he stay angry forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us for our iniquities.
11 For as the heavens are high above the eretz,
So great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 Like a father has compassion on his children,
So the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.
14 For he knows how we are made.
He remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass.
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone.
Its place remembers it no more.
17 But the LORD's loving kindness is from everlasting
to everlasting with those who fear him,
His righteousness to children's children;
18 To those who keep his covenant,
To those who remember to obey his precepts.
19 The LORD has established his throne in the heavens.
His kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the LORD, you angels of his,
Who are mighty in strength, who fulfill his word,
Obeying the voice of his word.
21 Praise the LORD, all you hosts of his,
You servants of his, who do his pleasure.
22 Praise the LORD, all you works of his,
In all places of his dominion.
Praise the LORD, my soul.

PSALMS:  133

1 See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil on the head,
That ran down on the beard,
Even Aharon's beard;
That came down on the edge of his robes;
3 Like the dew of Hermon,
That comes down on the hills of Tziyon:
For there the LORD gives the blessing,
Even life forevermore.

PROVERBS:  13

1 A wise son listens to his father's instruction,
But a scoffer doesn't listen to rebuke.
2 By the fruit of his lips, a man enjoys good things;
But the unfaithful crave violence.
3 He who guards his mouth guards his soul.
 One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
4 The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing,
But the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied.
5 A righteous man hates lies,
But a wicked man brings shame and disgrace.
6 Righteousness guards the way of integrity,
But wickedness overthrows the sinner.
7 There are some who pretend to be rich, yet have nothing.
There are some who pretend to be poor, yet have great wealth.
8 The ransom of a man's life is his riches,
But the poor hears no threats.
9 The light of the righteous shines brightly,
But the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.
10 By pride comes only quarrels,
But with ones who take advice is wisdom.
11 Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away,
But he who gathers by hand makes it grow.
12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.
13 Whoever despises instruction will pay for it,
But he who respects a command will be rewarded.
14 The teaching of the wise is a spring of life,
To turn from the snares of death.
15 Good understanding wins favor;
But the way of the unfaithful is hard.
16 Every prudent man acts from knowledge,
But a fool exposes folly.
17 A wicked messenger falls into trouble,
But a trustworthy envoy gains healing.
18 Poverty and shame come to him who refuses discipline,
But he who heeds correction shall be honored.
19 Longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul,
But fools detest turning from evil.
20 One who walks with wise men grows wise,
But a companion of fools suffers harm.
21 Misfortune pursues sinners,
But prosperity rewards the righteous.
22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children,
But the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.
23 An abundance of food is in poor people's fields,
But injustice sweeps it away.
24 One who spares the rod hates his son,
But one who loves him is careful to discipline him.
25 The righteous one eats to the satisfying of his soul,
But the belly of the wicked goes hungry.

OLD TESTAMENT:  ISAIAH 66:1 - 24

66:1 Thus says the LORD, heaven is my throne, and the eretz is my footstool: what manner of house will you build to me? and what place shall be my rest?
2 For all these things has my hand made, and [so] all these things came to be, says the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.
3 He who kills an ox is as he who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog's neck; he who offers an offering, [as he who offers] pig's blood; he who burns frankincense, as he who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations:
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn't delight.
5 Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word: Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name's sake, have said, Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy; but it is those who shall be put to shame.
6 A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that renders recompense to his enemies.
7  Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.
8 Who has heard such a thing? who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? shall a nation be brought forth at once? for as soon as Tziyon travailed, she brought forth her children.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD: shall I who cause to bring forth shut [the womb]? says your God.
10 Rejoice you with Yerushalayim, and be glad for her, all you who love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;
11 that you may suck and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
12 For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will extend shalom to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream: and you shall suck [of it]; you shall be borne on the side, and shall be dandled on the knees.
13 As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Yerushalayim.
14 You shall see [it], and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the tender grass: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.
15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and his chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 For by fire will the LORD execute judgment, and by his sword, on all flesh; and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17 Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves [to go] to the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating pig's flesh, and the abomination, and the akbar, they shall come to an end together, says the LORD.
18For I [know] their works and their thoughts: [the time] comes, that I will gather all nations and languages; and they shall come, and shall see my glory.
19 I will set a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tuval and Yavan, to the isles afar off, who have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.
20 They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to the LORD, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Yerushalayim, says the LORD, as the children of Yisra'el bring their offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21 Of them also will I take for Kohanim [and] for Levites, says the LORD.
22 For as the new heavens and the new eretz, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 It shall happen, that from one new moon to another, and from one Shabbat to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the LORD.
24 They shall go forth, and look on the dead bodies of the men who have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring to all flesh.

NEW TESTAMENT:  PHILIPPIANS 3:4 - 21

3:4 though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has confidence in the flesh, I yet more:
5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Yisra'el, of the tribe of Binyamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the law, a Parush;
6 concerning zeal, persecuting the assembly; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.
7 However, what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Messiah.
8 Yes most assuredly, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Messiah Yeshua, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Messiah
9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Messiah, the righteousness which is from God by faith;
10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death;
11 if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Messiah Yeshua.
13 Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having laid hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,
14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Messiah Yeshua.
15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, this God will also reveal that to you.
16 Nevertheless, to the extent that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule. Let us be of the same mind.
17 Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example.
18 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, as the enemies of the cross of Messiah,
19 whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who think about earthly things.
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord, Yeshua the Messiah;
21 who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things to himself.

John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." THEinc-HIM Daily Bible Meditation - July 12 - Full Text

Genesis 1:1 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

JULY 12

PSALMS:  12, 42, 72, 102, 132

PROVERBS:  12

OLD TESTAMENT:  ISAIAH 62:6 - 65:25

NEW TESTAMENT:  PHILIPPIANS 2:19 - 3:3

PSALMS:  12

1 Help, LORD;
for the godly man ceases.
For the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 Everyone lies to his neighbor.
With flattering lips, and with a double heart, do they speak.
3 May the LORD cut off all flattering lips,
And the tongue that boasts,
4 Who have said, "With our tongue will we prevail.
Our lips are our own. Who is lord over us?"
5 "Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy,
I will now arise," says the LORD;
"I will set him in safety from those who malign him."
6 The words of the LORD are flawless words,
As silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times.
7 You will keep them, LORD,
You will preserve them from this generation forever.
8 The wicked walk on every side,
When what is vile is exalted among the sons of men.

PSALMS:  42

1 As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul after you, God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?
3 My tears have been my food day and night,
While they continually ask me, "Where is your God?"
4 These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me,
How I used to go with the crowd, and led them to the house of God,
With the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a holy day.
5 Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God!
For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.
6 My God, my soul is in despair within me.
Therefore I remember you from the land of the Yarden,
The heights of Hermon, from the hill Mitz`ar.
7 Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls.
All your waves and your billows have swept over me.
8 The LORD will command his loving kindness in the daytime.
In the night his song shall be with me:
A prayer to the God of my life.
9 I will ask God, my rock,
"Why have you forgotten me?
Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?"
10 As with a sword in my bones, my adversaries reproach me,
While they continually ask me, "Where is your God?"
11 Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God!
For I shall still praise him,
The saving help of my countenance, and my God.

PSALMS:  72

1 God, give the king your justice;
Your righteousness to the royal son.
2 He will judge your people with righteousness,
And your poor with justice.
3 The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people;
The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
4 He will judge the poor of the people.
He will save the children of the needy,
And will break the oppressor in pieces.
5 They shall fear you while the sun endures;
And as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
6 He will come down like rain on the mown grass,
As showers that water the eretz.
7 In his days, the righteous shall flourish,
And abundance of shalom, until the moon is no more.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,
From the River to the ends of the eretz.
9 Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him.
His enemies shall lick the dust.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will bring tribute.
The kings of Sheva and Seva shall offer gifts.
11 Yes, all kings shall fall down before him.
All nations shall serve him.
12 For he will deliver the needy when he cries;
The poor, who has no helper.
13 He will have pity on the poor and needy.
He will save the souls of the needy.
14 He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence.
Their blood will be precious in his sight.
15 They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheva.
Men shall pray for him continually.
They shall bless him all day long.
16 There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land.
Its fruit sways like Levanon.
Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
17 His name endures forever.
His name continues as long as the sun.
Men shall be blessed by him.
All nations will call him blessed.
18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Yisra'el,
Who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 Blessed be his glorious name forever!
Let the whole eretz be filled with his glory!
Amein and amein.
20 This ends the prayers by David, the son of Yishai.

PSALMS:  102

1 Hear my prayer, LORD! Let my cry come to you.
2 Don't hide your face from me in the day of my distress.
Turn your ear to me.
Answer me quickly in the day when I call.
3 For my days consume away like smoke.
My bones are burned as a firebrand.
4 My heart is blighted like grass, and withered,
For I forget to eat my bread.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning,
My bones stick to my skin.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness.
I have become as an owl of the waste places.
7 I watch, and have become like a sparrow that is alone on the housetop.
8 My enemies reproach me all day.
Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread,
And mixed my drink with tears,
10 Because of your indignation and your wrath,
For you have taken me up, and thrown me away.
11 My days are like a long shadow.
I have withered like grass.
12 But you, LORD, will abide forever;
Your renown endures to all generations.
13 You will arise and have mercy on Tziyon;
For it is time to have pity on her.
Yes, the set time has come.
14 For your servants take pleasure in her stones,
And have pity on her dust.
15 So the nations will fear the name of the LORD;
All the kings of the eretz your glory.
16 For the LORD has built up Tziyon.
He has appeared in his glory.
17 He has responded to the prayer of the destitute,
And has not despised their prayer.
18 This will be written for the generation to come.
A people which will be created will praise the LORD.
19 For he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary.
From heaven, the LORD saw the eretz;
20 To hear the groans of the prisoner;
To free those who are condemned to death;
21 That men may declare the name of the LORD in Tziyon,
And his praise in Yerushalayim;
22 When the peoples are gathered together,
The kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
23 He weakened my strength along the course.
He shortened my days.
24 I said, "My God, don't take me away in the midst of my days.
Your years are throughout all generations.
25 Of old, you laid the foundation of the eretz.
The heavens are the work of your hands.
26 They will perish, but you will endure.
Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment.
You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.
27 But you are the same.
Your years will have no end.
28 The children of your servants will continue.
Their seed will be established before you."

PSALMS:  132

1 LORD, remember David and all his affliction,
2 How he swore to the LORD,
And vowed to the Mighty One of Ya`akov:
3 "Surely I will not come into the structure of my house,
Nor go up into my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes,
Or slumber to my eyelids;
5 Until I find out a place for the LORD,
A dwelling for the Mighty One of Ya`akov."
6 Behold, we heard of it in Efratah.
We found it in the field of Ya`ar:
7 "We will go into his dwelling place.
We will worship at his footstool.
8 Arise, LORD, into your resting place;
You, and the ark of your strength.
9 Let your Kohen be clothed with righteousness.
Let your holy ones shout for joy!"
10 For your servant David's sake,
Don't turn away the face of your anointed one.
11 The LORD has sworn to David in truth.
He will not turn from it:
"I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.
12 If your children will keep my covenant,
My testimony that I will teach them,
Their children also will sit on your throne forevermore."
13 For the LORD has chosen Tziyon.
He has desired it for his habitation.
14 "This is my resting place forever.
Here I will live, for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision.
I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 Her Kohanim I will also clothe with salvation.
Her holy ones will shout aloud for joy.
17 There I will make the horn of David to bud.
I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.
18 I will clothe his enemies with shame,
But on himself, his crown will be resplendant."

PROVERBS:  12

1 Whoever loves correction loves knowledge,
But he who hates reproof is stupid.
2 A good man shall obtain favor from the LORD,
But he will condemn a man of wicked devices.
3 A man shall not be established by wickedness,
But the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
4 A worthy woman is the crown of her husband,
But a disgraceful wife is as rottenness in his bones.
5 The thoughts of the righteous are just.
The advice of the wicked is deceitful.
6 The words of the wicked are about lying in wait for blood,
But the speech of the upright rescues them.
7 The wicked are overthrown, and are no more,
But the house of the righteous shall stand.
8 A man shall be commended according to his wisdom,
But he who has a warped mind shall be despised.
9 Better is he who is lightly esteemed, and has a servant,
Than he who honors himself, and lacks bread.
10 A righteous man regards the life of his animal,
But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
11 He who tills his land shall have plenty of bread,
But he who chases fantasies is void of understanding.
12 The wicked desires the plunder of evil men,
But the root of the righteous flourishes.
13 An evil man is trapped by sinfulness of lips,
But the righteous shall come out of trouble.
14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth.
The doings of a man's hands shall be rewarded to him.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,
But he who is wise listens to counsel.
16 A fool shows his annoyance the same day,
But one who overlooks an insult is prudent.
17 He who is truthful testifies honestly,
But a false witness lies.
18 There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise heals.
19 Truth's lips will be established forever,
But a lying tongue is only momentary.
20 Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
But joy comes to the promoters of shalom.
21 No mischief shall happen to the righteous,
But the wicked shall be filled with evil.
22 Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD,
But those who do the truth are his delight.
23 A prudent man keeps his knowledge,
But the hearts of fools proclaim foolishness.
24 The hands of the diligent ones shall rule,
But laziness ends in slave labor.
25 Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down,
But a kind word makes it glad.
26 The righteous is cautious in friendship,
But the way of the wicked leads them astray.
27 The slothful man doesn't roast his game,
But the possessions of diligent men are prized.
28 In the way of righteousness is life;
In its path there is no death.

OLD TESTAMENT:  ISAIAH 62:6 - 65:25

62:6 I have set watchmen on your walls, Yerushalayim; they shall never hold their shalom day nor night: you who call on the LORD, take no rest, 7 and give him no rest, until he establish, and until he make Yerushalayim a praise in the eretz. 8 The LORD has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies; and foreigners shall not drink your new wine, for which you have labored: 9 but those who have garnered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and those who have gathered it shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary. 10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare you the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up an ensign for the peoples. 11 Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the end of the eretz, Say you to the daughter of Tziyon, Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. 12 They shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and you shall be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.

63:1 Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Botzrah? this who is glorious in his clothing, marching in the greatness of his strength? I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2 Why are you red in your clothing, and your garments like him who treads in the wine vat? 3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yes, I trod them in my anger, and trampled them in my wrath; and their lifeblood is sprinkled on my garments, and I have stained all my clothing. 4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. 5 I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore my own arm brought salvation to me; and my wrath, it upheld me. 6 I trod down the peoples in my anger, and made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the eretz. 7 I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, [and] the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Yisra'el, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. 8 For he said, Surely, they are my people, children who will not deal falsely: so he was their Savior. 9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them, and carried them all the days of old. 10 But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, [and] himself fought against them. 11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moshe [and] his people, [saying], Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? where is he who put his holy Spirit in the midst of them? 12 who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moshe? who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name? 13 who led them through the depths, as a horse in the wilderness, so that they didn't stumble? 14 As the cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused them to rest; so did you lead your people, to make yourself a glorious name. 15 Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where are your zeal and your mighty acts? the yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me. 16 For you are our Father, though Avraham doesn't know us, and Yisra'el does not acknowledge us: you, LORD, are our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting is your name. 17 O LORD, why do you make us to err from your ways, and harden our heart from your fear? Return for your servants' sake, the tribes of your inheritance. 18 Your holy people possessed [it] but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down your sanctuary. 19 We are become as they over whom you never bear rule, as those who were not called by your name.

64:1 Oh that you would tear the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence, 2 as when fire kindles the brushwood, [and] the fire causes the waters to boil; to make your name known to your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at your presence! 3 When you did terrible things which we didn't look for, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence. 4 For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen a God besides you, who works for him who waits for him. 5 You meet him who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways: behold, you were angry, and we sinned: in them [have we been] of long time; and shall we be saved? 6 For we are all become as one who is unclean, and all our righteousness are as a polluted garment: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. 7 There is none who calls on your name, who stirs up himself to take hold of you; for you have hid your face from us, and have consumed us by means of our iniquities. 8 But now, LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you our potter; and we all are the work of your hand. 9 Don't be angry very sore, LORD, neither remember iniquity forever: see, look, we beg you, we are all your people. 10 Your holy cities are become a wilderness, Tziyon is become a wilderness, Yerushalayim a desolation. 11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised you, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste. 12 Will you refrain yourself for these things, LORD? will you hold your shalom, and afflict us very sore?

65:1 I am inquired of by those who didn't ask; I am found by those who didn't seek me: I said, See me, see me, to a nation that was not called by my name. 2 I have spread out my hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts; 3 a people who provoke me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens, and burning incense on bricks; 4 who sit among the graves, and lodge in the secret places; who eat pig's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels; 5 who say, Stand by yourself, don't come near to me, for I am holier than you. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all the day. 6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, yes, I will recompense into their bosom, 7 your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, says the LORD, who have burned incense on the mountains, and blasphemed me on the hills; therefore will I first measure their work into their bosom. 8 Thus says the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, Don't destroy it, for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sake, that I may not destroy them all. 9 I will bring forth a seed out of Ya`akov, and out of Yehudah an inheritor of my mountains; and my chosen shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there. 10 Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of `Akhor a place for herds to lie down in, for my people who have sought me. 11 But you who forsake the LORD, who forget my holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune, and who fill up mixed wine to Destiny; 12 I will destine you to the sword, and you shall all bow down to the slaughter; because when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not hear; but you did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn't delight. 13Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame; 14 behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit. 15 You shall leave your name for a curse to my chosen; and the Lord GOD will kill you; and he will call his servants by another name: 16 so that he who blesses himself in the eretz shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he who swears in the eretz shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from my eyes. 17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new eretz; and the former things shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.18 But be you glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for, behold, I create Yerushalayim a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 I will rejoice in Yerushalayim, and joy in my people; and there shall be heard in her no more the voice of weeping and the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more there an infant of days, nor an old man who has not filled his days; for the child shall die one hundred years old, and the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 They shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree shall be the days of my people, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for calamity; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24 It shall happen that, before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says the LORD.

NEW TESTAMENT:  PHILIPPIANS 2:19 - 3:3

1:19 But I hope in the Lord Yeshua to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing. 20 For I have no one else like-minded, who will truly care about you. 21 For they all seek their own, not the things of Yeshua the Messiah. 22 But you know the proof of him, that, as a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News. 23 Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it will go with me. 24 But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly. 25 But I counted it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need; 26 since he longed for you all, and was very troubled, because you had heard that he was sick. 27 For indeed he was sick, nearly to death, but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow. 28 I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. 29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor, 30because for the work of Messiah he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.

3:1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tiresome, but for you it is safe. 2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision. 3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Messiah Yeshua, and have no confidence in the flesh;

21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
