PSALMS: 9
1 I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart.
I will tell of all your marvelous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Elyon.
3 When my enemies turn back,
They stumble and perish in your presence.
4 For you have maintained my right and my cause.
You sit on the throne judging righteously.
5 You have rebuked the nations.
You have destroyed the wicked.
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
6 The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin.
The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
7 But the LORD reigns forever.
He has prepared his throne for judgment.
8 He will judge the world in righteousness.
He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
9 The LORD will also be a high tower for the oppressed;
A high tower in times of trouble.
10 Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
For you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
11 Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Tziyon,
And declare among the people what he has done.
12 For he who avenges blood remembers them.
He doesn't forget the cry of the afflicted.
13 Have mercy on me, LORD.
See my affliction by those who hate me,
And lift me up from the gates of death;
14 That I may show forth all your praise.
In the gates of the daughter of Tziyon I will rejoice in your salvation.
15 The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made;
In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
16 The LORD has made himself known.
He has executed judgment.
The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands.
Meditation.
Selah.
17 The wicked shall be turned back to She'ol,
Even all the nations that forget God.
18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
Nor the hope of the poor perish forever.
19 Arise, LORD! Don't let man prevail.
Let the nations be judged in your sight.
20 Put them in fear, LORD.
Let the nations know that they are only men.

PSALMS: 39
1 I said, "I will watch my ways, so that I don't sin with my tongue.
I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me."
2 I was mute with silence.
I held my shalom, even from good.
My sorrow was stirred.
3 My heart was hot within me.
While I meditated, the fire burned:
I spoke with my tongue:
4 "LORD, make me to know my end,
What is the measure of my days.
Let me know how frail I am.
5 Behold, you have made my days hand breadths.
My lifetime is as nothing before you.
Surely every man stands as a breath."
Selah.
6"Surely every man walks like a shadow.
Surely they busy themselves in vain.
He heaps up, and doesn't know who shall gather.
7 Now, Lord, what do I wait for?
My hope is in you.
8 Deliver me from all my transgressions.
Don't make me the reproach of the foolish.
9 I was mute, I didn't open my mouth,
Because you did it.
10 Remove your scourge away from me.
I am overcome by the blow of your hand.
11 When you rebuke and correct man for iniquity,
You consume his wealth like a moth.
Surely every man is but a breath."

12 "Hear my prayer, LORD,
and give ear to my cry.
Don't be silent at my tears.
For I am a stranger with you,
A sojourner, as all my fathers were.
13 Oh spare me, that I may recover strength,
Before I go away, and be no more."
PSALMS: 69
1 Save me, God,
For the waters have come up to my neck!
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold.
I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
3 I am weary with my crying.
My throat is dry.
My eyes fail, looking for my God.
4 Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head.
Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty.
I have to restore what I didn't take away.
5 God, you know my foolishness.
My sins aren't hidden from you.
6 Don't let those who wait for you be put to shame through me,
Lord GOD of Hosts.
Don't let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me,
God of Yisra'el.
7 Because for your sake, I have borne reproach.
Shame has covered my face.
8 I have become a stranger to my brothers,
An alien to my mother's children.
9 For the zeal of your house consumes me.
The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
10 When I wept and I fasted,
That was to my reproach.
11 When I made sackcloth my clothing,
I became a byword to them.
12 Those who sit in the gate talk about me.
I am the song of the drunkards.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to you, LORD, in an acceptable time.
God, in the abundance of your loving kindness,
answer me in the truth of your salvation.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and don't let me sink.
Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
15 Don't let the flood waters overwhelm me,
Neither let the deep swallow me up.
Don't let the pit shut its mouth on me.
16 Answer me, LORD, for your loving kindness is good.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.
17 Don't hide your face from your servant, For I am in distress.
Answer me speedily!
18 Draw near to my soul, and redeem it.
Ransom me because of my enemies.
19 You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor.
My adversaries are all before you.
20 Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness.
I looked for some to take pity, but there was none;
For comforters, but I found none.
21 They also gave me gall for my food.
In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.
22 Let their table before them become a snare.
May it become a retribution and a trap.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can't see.
Make their loins continually to shake.
24 Pour out your indignation on them.
Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.
25 Let their habitation be desolate.
Let no one dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute him whom you have wounded.
They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime.
Don't let them come into your righteousness.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life,
And not be written with the righteous.
29 But I am in pain and distress.
Let your yeshu`ah, God, protect me.
30 I will praise the name of God with a song,
And will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31 It will please the LORD better than an ox,
Or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
32 The humble have seen it, and are glad.
You who seek after God, let your heart live.
33 For the LORD hears the needy,
And doesn't despise his captive people.
34 Let heaven and eretz praise him;
The seas, and everything that moves therein!
35 For God will save Tziyon, and build the cities of Yehudah.
They shall settle there, and own it.
36 The children also of his servants shall inherit it.
Those who love his name shall dwell therein.
PSALMS: 99
1 The LORD reigns!
Let the peoples tremble.
He sits enthroned among the Keruvim.
Let the eretz be moved.
2 The LORD is great in Tziyon.
He is high above all the peoples.
3 Let them praise your great and awesome name.
He is Holy!
4 The King's strength also loves justice.
You do establish equity.
You execute justice and righteousness in Ya`akov.
5 Exalt the LORD our God.
Worship at his footstool.
He is Holy!
6 Moshe and Aharon were among his Kohanim,
Shemu'el among those who call on his name;
They called on the LORD, and he answered them.
7 He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud.
They kept his testimonies,
The statute that he gave them.
8 You answered them, LORD our God.
You are a God who forgave them,
Although you took vengeance for their doings.
9 Exalt the LORD, our God.
Worship at his holy hill,
For the LORD, our God, is holy!
PSALMS: 129
1 Many times have they afflicted me from my youth up.
Let Yisra'el now say,
2 Many times have they afflicted me from my youth up,
Yet they have not prevailed against me.
3 The plowers plowed on my back.
They made their furrows long.
4 The LORD is righteous.
He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.
5 Let them be put to shame and turned backward,
All those who hate Tziyon.
6 Let them be as the grass on the housetops,
Which withers before it grows up;
7 With which the reaper doesn't fill his hand,
Nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.
8 Neither do those who go by say,
"The blessing of the LORD be on you.
We bless you in the name of the LORD."
2 She has prepared her meat.
She has mixed her wine.
She has also set her table.
3 She has sent out her maidens.
She cries from the highest places of the city:
4 "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!"
As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
5 "Come, eat some of my bread,
Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
6 Leave your simple ways, and live.
Walk in the way of understanding."
7 He who corrects a mocker invites insult.
He who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.
8 Don't reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you.
Reprove a wise man, and he will love you.
9 Instruct a wise man, and he will be still wiser.
Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11 For by me your days will be multiplied.
The years of your life will be increased.
12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself.
If you mock, you alone will bear it.
13 The foolish woman is loud,
Undisciplined, and knows nothing.
14 She sits at the door of her house,
On a seat in the high places of the city,
15 To call to those who pass by,
Who go straight on their ways,
16 "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here."
As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
17 "Stolen water is sweet.
Food eaten in secret is pleasant."
18 But he doesn't know that the dead are there,
That her guests are in the depths of She'ol.
OLD TESTAMENT: EXODUS 8:1 - 9:35
8:1 The LORD spoke to Moshe, Go in to Par`oh, and tell him, "This is what the LORD says, 'Let my people go, that they may serve me. 2 If you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your borders with frogs: 3 and the river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading-troughs: 4 and the frogs shall come up both on you, and on your people, and on all your servants.'" 5 The LORD said to Moshe, "Tell Aharon, 'Stretch forth your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Mitzrayim.'" 6 Aharon stretched out his hand over the waters of Mitzrayim; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Mitzrayim. 7 The magicians did in like manner with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Mitzrayim. 8 Then Par`oh called for Moshe and Aharon, and said, "Entreat the LORD, that he take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to the LORD." 9 Moshe said to Par`oh, "I give you the honor of setting the time that I should pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the river only." 10 He said, "Tomorrow." He said, "Be it according to your word, that you may know that there is none like the LORD our God. 11 The frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people. They shall remain in the river only."12 Moshe and Aharon went out from Par`oh, and Moshe cried to the LORD concerning the frogs which he had brought on Par`oh. 13 The LORD did according to the word of Moshe, and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields. 14 They gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank. 15 But when Par`oh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and didn't listen to them, as the LORD had spoken. 16 The LORD said to Moshe, "Tell Aharon, 'Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the eretz, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.'"17 They did so; and Aharon stretched out his hand with his rod, and struck the dust of the eretz, and there were lice on man, and on animal; all the dust of the eretz became lice throughout all the land of Mitzrayim. 18 The magicians tried with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they couldn't. There were lice on man, and on animal. 19 Then the magicians said to Par`oh, "This is the finger of God:" and Par`oh's heart was hardened, and he didn't listen to them; as the LORD had spoken. 20 The LORD said to Moshe, "Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Par`oh; behold, he comes forth to the water; and tell him, 'This is what the LORD says, "Let my people go, that they may serve me. 21 Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants, and on your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Mitzrim shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are. 22 I will set apart in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the eretz. 23 I will put a division between my people and your people: by tomorrow shall this sign be."'"24 The LORD did so; and there came grievous swarms of flies into the house of Par`oh, and into his servants' houses: and in all the land of Mitzrayim the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of flies. 25 Par`oh called for Moshe and for Aharon, and said, "Go, sacrifice to your God in the land!" 26 Moshe said, "It isn't appropriate to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Mitzrim to the LORD our God. Behold, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Mitzrim before their eyes, and won't they stone us? 27 We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as he shall command us." 28 Par`oh said, "I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness, only you shall not go very far away. Pray for me." 29 Moshe said, "Behold, I go out from you, and I will pray to the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Par`oh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow; only don't let Par`oh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD." 30 Moshe went out from Par`oh, and prayed to the LORD. 31 The LORD did according to the word of Moshe, and he removed the swarms of flies from Par`oh, from his servants, and from his people. There remained not one. 32 Par`oh hardened his heart this time also, and he didn't let the people go.
9:1 Then the LORD said to Moshe, "Go in to Par`oh, and tell him, 'This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, that they may serve me. 2 For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still, 3 behold, the hand of the LORD is on your cattle which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence. 4 The LORD will make a distinction between the cattle of Yisra'el and the cattle of Mitzrayim; and there shall nothing die of all that belongs to the children of Yisra'el."'" 5 The LORD appointed a set time, saying, "Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land." 6 The LORD did that thing on the next day; and all the cattle of Mitzrayim died, but of the cattle of the children of Yisra'el, not one died. 7 Par`oh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the cattle of the Israelite dead. But the heart of Par`oh was stubborn, and he didn't let the people go. 8 The LORD said to Moshe and to Aharon, "Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moshe sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Par`oh. 9 It shall become small dust over all the land of Mitzrayim, and shall be a boil breaking forth with boils on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Mitzrayim." 10 They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Par`oh; and Moshe sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became a boil breaking forth with boils on man and on animal. 11 The magicians couldn't stand before Moshe because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians, and on all the Mitzrim. 12 The LORD hardened the heart of Par`oh, and he didn't listen to them, as the LORD had spoken to Moshe. 13 The LORD said to Moshe, "Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Par`oh, and tell him, 'This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, that they may serve me. 14 For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the eretz. 15 For now I would have put forth my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the eretz; 16 but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the eretz; 17 as you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won't let them go. 18 Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Mitzrayim since the day it was founded even until now. 19 Now therefore command that all of your cattle and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. Every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn't brought home, the hail shall come down on them, and they shall die."'" 20 Those who feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Par`oh made their servants and their cattle flee into the houses. 21 Whoever didn't regard the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field. 22 The LORD said to Moshe, "Stretch forth your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Mitzrayim, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Mitzrayim." 23 Moshe stretched forth his rod toward the heavens, and the LORD sent thunder, hail, and lightning flashed down to the eretz. The LORD rained hail on the land of Mitzrayim. 24 So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Mitzrayim since it became a nation. 25 The hail struck throughout all the land of Mitzrayim all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field. 26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Yisra'el were, there was no hail. 27 Par`oh sent, and called for Moshe and Aharon, and said to them, "I have sinned this time. The LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked. 28 Pray to the LORD; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer." 29 Moshe said to him, "As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to the LORD. The thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know that the eretz is the LORD's. 30 But as for you and your servants, I know that you don't yet fear the LORD God." 31 The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom. 32 But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up. 33 Moshe went out of the city from Par`oh, and spread abroad his hands to the LORD; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the eretz. 34 When Par`oh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants. 35 The heart of Par`oh was hardened, and he didn't let the children of Yisra'el go, just as the LORD had spoken through Moshe.
NEW TESTAMENT: MATTHEW 19:13 - 30
19:13 Then little children were brought to him, that he should lay his hands on them and pray; and the talmidim rebuked them.
14 But Yeshua said, "Allow the little children, and don't forbid them to come to me; for to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven."
15 He laid his hands on them, and departed from there.
16 Behold, one came to him and said, "Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"
17 He said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the mitzvot."
18 He said to him, "Which ones?" Yeshua said, "You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not offer false testimony.
19 Honor your father and mother. And, you shall love your neighbor as yourself."
20 The young man said to him, "All these things I have observed from my youth. What do I still lack?"
21 Yeshua said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."
22 But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sad, for he was one who had great possessions.
23 Yeshua said to his talmidim, "Most assuredly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty.
24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
25 When the talmidim heard it, they were exceedingly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?"
26 Looking at them, Yeshua said, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
27 Then Kefa answered, "Behold, we have left everything, and followed you. What then will we have?"
28 Yeshua said to them, "Most assuredly I tell you, that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Yisra'el.
29 Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life.
30 But many will be last who are first; and first who are last.
