NOVEMBER 30

PSALMS: 30, 60, 90, 120, 150

PROVERBS: 30

OLD TESTAMENT: LEVITICUS 7:28 - 9:6

NEW TESTAMENT: MARK 3:31 - 4:25

PSALMS: 30

1 I will extol you, LORD, for you have raised me up,

And have not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2 LORD my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me.

3 LORD, you have brought up my soul from She'ol.

You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4 Sing praise to the LORD, you holy ones of his.

Give thanks to his holy name.

5 For his anger is but for a moment;

His favor is for a lifetime.

Weeping may stay for the night,

But joy comes in the morning.

6 As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I shall never be moved."

7 You, LORD, when you favored me, made my mountain to stand strong.

But when you hid your face, I was troubled.

8 I cried to you, LORD.

To the LORD I made supplication:

9 "What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit?

Shall the dust praise you?

Shall it declare your truth?

10 Hear, LORD, and have mercy on me. LORD, be my helper."

11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me.

You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,

12 To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent.

LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

PSALMS: 60

1 God, you have rejected us.

You have broken us down.

You have been angry.

Restore us to you, again.

2 You have made the land tremble.

You have torn it.

Mend its fractures,

For it quakes.

3 You have shown your people hard things.

You have made us drink the wine that makes us stagger.

4 You have given a banner to those who fear you,

That it may be displayed because of the truth.

Selah.

5 So that your beloved may be delivered,

Save with your right hand, and answer us.

6 God has spoken from his sanctuary:

"I will triumph.

I will divide Shekhem,

And measure out the valley of Sukkot.

7 Gil`ad is mine, and Menashsheh is mine.

Efrayim also is the defense of my head.

Yehudah is my scepter.

8 Mo'av is my wash basin.

I will throw my shoe on Edom.

I shout in triumph over Peleshet."

9 Who will bring me into the strong city?

Who has led me to Edom?

10 Haven't you, God, rejected us?

You don't go out with our armies, God.

11 Give us help against the adversary,

For the help of man is vain.

12 Through God we shall do valiantly,

For it is he who will tread down our adversaries.

PSALMS: 90

1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place In all generations.

2 Before the mountains were brought forth,

Or ever you had formed the eretz and the world,

Even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

3 You turn man to destruction, saying,

"Return, you children of men."

4 For a thousand years in your sight

Are but as yesterday when it is past,

As a watch in the night.

5 You sweep them away as they sleep.

In the morning they sprout like new grass.

6 In the morning it sprouts and springs up.

By evening, it is withered and dry.

7 For we are consumed in your anger.

We are troubled in your wrath.

8 You have set our iniquities before you,

Our secret sins in the light of your presence.

9 For all our days have passed away in your wrath.

We bring our years to an end as a sigh.

10 The days of our years are seventy,

Or even by reason of strength eighty years;

Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow,

For it passes quickly, and we fly away.

11 Who knows the power of your anger,

Your wrath according to the fear that is due to you?

12 So teach us to number our days,

That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

13 Relent, LORD! How long?

Have compassion on your servants.

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness,

That we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,

For as many years as we have seen evil.

16 Let your work appear to your servants;

Your glory to their children.

17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us;

Establish the work of our hands for us;

Yes, establish the work of our hands.

PSALMS: 120

1 The LORD says to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand,

Until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet."

2 The LORD will send forth the rod of your strength out of Tziyon.

Rule in the midst of your enemies.

3 Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power,

In holy array.

Out of the womb of the morning,

you have the dew of your youth.

4 The LORD has sworn, and will not change his mind:

"You are a Kohen forever in the order of Malki-Tzedek."

5 The Lord is at your right hand.

He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.

6 He will judge among the nations.

He will heap up dead bodies.

He will crush the ruler of the whole eretz.

7 He will drink of the brook in the way;

Therefore will he lift up his head.

PSALMS: 150

1 Deliver me, LORD, from the evil man.

Preserve me from the violent man;

2 Those who devise mischief in their hearts.

They continually gather themselves together for war.

3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent.

Viper's poison is under their lips. Selah.

4 LORD, keep me from the hands of the wicked.

Preserve me from the violent men:

Who have determined to trip my feet.

5 The proud have hidden a snare for me,

They have spread the cords of a net by the path.

They have set traps for me. Selah.

6 I said to the LORD, "You are my God."

Listen to the cry of my petitions, LORD.

7 LORD, the Lord, the strength of my yeshu`ah,

You have covered my head in the day of battle.

8 LORD, don't grant the desires of the wicked.

Don't let their evil plans succeed,

or they will become proud.

Selah.

9 As for the head of those who surround me,

Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

10 Let burning coals fall on them.

Let them be thrown into the fire,

Into miry pits, from where they never rise.

11 An evil speaker won't be established in the eretz.

Evil will hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted,

And justice for the needy.

13 Surely the righteous will give thanks to your name.

The upright will dwell in your presence.

PROVERBS: 30

1 The words of Agur the son of Yakeh, the oracle:

The man says to 'Iti'el, To 'Iti'el and Ucal:

2 "Surely I am the most ignorant man,

And don't have a man's understanding.

3 I have not learned wisdom,

Neither do I have the knowledge of the Holy One.

4 Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended?

Who has gathered the wind in his fists?

Who has bound the waters in his garment?

Who has established all the ends of the eretz? ‘

What is his name, and what is his son's name, if you know?

5 "Every word of God is flawless.

He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

6 Don't you add to his words,

Lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

7 "Two things I have asked of you;

Don't deny me before I die:

8 Remove far from me falsehood and lies.

Give me neither poverty nor riches.

Feed me with the food that is needful for me;

9 Lest I be full, deny you, and say,

'Who is the LORD?'

Or lest I be poor, and steal,

And so dishonor the name of my God.

10 "Don't slander a servant to his master,

Lest he curse you, and you be held guilty.

11 There is a generation that curses their father,

And doesn't bless their mother.

12 There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes,

Yet are not washed from their filthiness.

13 There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes!

Their eyelids are lifted up.

14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords,

And their jaws like knives,

To devour the poor from the eretz,

and the needy from among men.

15 "The leach has two daughters:

'Give, give.'

"There are three things that are never satisfied;

Four that don't say, 'Enough:'

16 She'ol, the barren womb;

The eretz that is not satisfied with water;

The fire that doesn't say, 'Enough;'

17 And the eye that mocks at his father,

And scorns obedience to his mother:

The ravens of the valley shall pick it out,

The young eagles shall eat it.

18 "There are three things which are too amazing for me,

Four which I don't understand:

19 The way of an eagle in the air;

The way of a serpent on a rock;

The way of a ship in the midst of the sea;

And the way of a man with a maiden.

20 So is the way of an adulterous woman:

She eats and wipes her mouth,

And says, 'I have done nothing wrong.'

21 "For three things the eretz tremble,

And under four, it can't bear up:

22 For a servant when he is king;

A fool when he is filled with food;

23 For an unloved woman when she is married;

And a handmaid who is heir to her mistress.

24 "There are four things which are little on the eretz,

But they are exceeding wise:

25 The ants are not a strong people,

Yet they provide their food in the summer;

26 The conies are but a feeble folk,

Yet make they their houses in the rocks;

27 The locusts have no king,

Yet they advance in ranks;

28 You can catch a lizard with your hands,

Yet she is in kings' palaces.

29 "There are three things which are stately in their march,

Four which are stately in going:

30 The lion, which is mightiest among animals,

And doesn't turn away for any;

31 The greyhound, the male goat also;

And the king against whom there is no rising up.

32 "If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself,

Or if you have thought evil,

Put your hand over your mouth.

33 For as the churning of milk brings forth butter,

And the wringing of the nose brings forth blood;

So the forcing of wrath brings forth strife."

OLD TESTAMENT: LEVITICUS 7:28 - 9:6

7:28 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 29 "Speak to the children of Yisra'el, saying, 'He who offers the sacrifice of his shalom offerings to the LORD shall bring his offering to the LORD out of the sacrifice of his shalom offerings. 30 With his own hands he shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire. He shall bring the fat with the breast, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD. 31 The Kohen shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall be Aharon's and his sons'. 32 The right thigh you shall give to the Kohen for a heave offering out of the sacrifices of your shalom offerings. 33 He among the sons of Aharon who offers the blood of the shalom offerings, and the fat, shall have the right thigh for a portion. 34 For the waved breast and the heaved thigh I have taken from the children of Yisra'el out of the sacrifices of their shalom offerings, and have given them to Aharon the Kohen and to his sons as their portion forever from the children of Yisra'el.'" 35 This is the anointing portion of Aharon, and the anointing portion of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister to the LORD in the Kohen's office; 36 which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Yisra'el, in the day that he anointed them. It is their portion forever throughout their generations. 37  This is the law of the burnt offering, of the meal offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecration, and of the sacrifice of shalom offerings; 38 which the LORD commanded Moshe in Mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Yisra'el to offer their offerings to the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai.

8:1 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 2 "Take Aharon and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of matzah; 3 and assemble all the congregation at the door of the Tent of Meeting." 4 Moshe did as the LORD commanded him; and the congregation was assembled at the door of the Tent of Meeting. 5 Moshe said to the congregation, "This is the thing which the LORD has commanded to be done." 6 Moshe brought Aharon and his sons, and washed them with water. 7 He put the coat on him, tied the sash on him, clothed him with the robe, put the efod on him, and he tied the skillfully woven band of the efod on him, and fastened it to him with it. 8 He placed the breastplate on him; and in the breastplate he put the Urim and the Tummim. 9 He set the turban on his head; and on the turban, in front, he set the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moshe. 10 Moshe took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and sanctified them. 11 He sprinkled it on the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its vessels, and the basin and its base, to sanctify them. 12 He poured some of the anointing oil on Aharon's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him. 13 Moshe brought Aharon's sons, and clothed them with coats, and tied sashes on them, and put headbands on them; as the LORD commanded Moshe. 14 He brought the bull of the sin offering, and Aharon and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering. 15 He killed it; and Moshe took the blood, and put it on the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar, and sanctified it, to make atonement for it. 16 He took all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat; and Moshe burned it on the altar. 17  But the bull, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, he burned with fire outside the camp; as the LORD commanded Moshe. 18 He presented the ram of the burnt offering: and Aharon and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. 19 He killed it; and Moshe sprinkled the blood on the altar round about. 20 He cut the ram into its pieces; and Moshe burned the head, and the pieces, and the fat. 21 He washed the innards and the legs with water; and Moshe burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a sweet savor. It was an offering made by fire to the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moshe. 22 He presented the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aharon and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. 23 He killed it; and Moshe took some of its blood, and put it on the tip of Aharon's right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot. 24 He brought Aharon's sons; and Moshe put some of the blood on the tip of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot; and Moshe sprinkled the blood on the altar round about. 25 He took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right thigh; 26 and out of the basket of matzah, that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and placed them on the fat, and on the right thigh. 27 He put all these in Aharon's hands and in his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD. 28 Moshe took them from their hands, and burned them on the altar on the burnt offering. They were a consecration for a sweet savor. It was an offering made by fire to the LORD. 29 Moshe took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD. It was Moshe' portion of the ram of consecration, as the LORD commanded Moshe. 30 Moshe took some of the anointing oil, and some of the blood which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aharon, on his garments, and on his sons, and on his sons' garments with him, and sanctified Aharon, his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him. 31 Moshe said to Aharon and to his sons, "Boil the flesh at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of consecration, as I commanded, saying, 'Aharon and his sons shall eat it.' 32 What remains of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn with fire. 33 You shall not go out from the door of The tent of Meeting seven days, until the days of your consecration are fulfilled: for he shall consecrate you seven days. 34 What has been done this day, so the LORD has commanded to do, to make atonement for you. 35 At the door of the Tent of Meeting you shall stay day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that you don't die: for so I am commanded."36 Aharon and his sons did all the things which the LORD commanded by Moshe.

9:1 It happened on the eighth day, that Moshe called Aharon and his sons, and the Zakenim of Yisra'el; 2 and he said to Aharon, "Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD. 3 You shall speak to the children of Yisra'el, saying, 'Take a male goat for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without blemish, for a burnt offering; 4 and an ox and a ram for shalom offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for today the LORD appears to you.'" 5 They brought what Moshe commanded before the Tent of Meeting: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD. 6 Moshe said, "This is the thing which the LORD commanded that you should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear to you."

NEW TESTAMENT: MARK 3:31 - 4:25

3:31 His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him. 32 A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, "Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you." 33 He answered them, "Who are my mother and my brothers?" 34 Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, "Behold, my mother and my brothers! 35 For whoever may do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother."

4:1 Again he began to teach by the seaside. A great multitude was gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat in the sea, and sat down. All the multitude were on the land by the sea. 2 He taught them many things in parables, and told them in his teaching, 3 "Listen! Behold, the farmer went forth to sow, 4 and it happened, as he sowed, some seed fell by the road, and the birds came and devoured it. 5 Others fell on the rocky ground, where it had little soil, and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil. 6 When the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. 8 Others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing. Some brought forth thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times as much." 9 He said, "Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear." 10 When he was alone, those who were around him with the twelve asked him about the parables. 11 He said to them, "To you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables, 12 that 'seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.'" 13 He said to them, "Don't you understand this parable? How will you understand all of the parables? 14 The farmer sows the word. 15 These are the ones by the road, where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Hasatan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them. 16 These in like manner are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy. 17  They have no root in themselves, but endure for a while, then, when oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble. 18 Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word, 19 and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 These are those who were sown on the good ground: such as hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times." 21 He said to them, "Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn't it put on a menorah? 22 For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light. 23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear." 24 He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear. 25 For whoever has, to him will more be given, and he who doesn't have, from him will be taken away even that which he has."

John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
