1 A psalm of David,
when he fled from Avshalom his son:
ADONAI, how many enemies I have!
How countless are those attacking me;
2 how countless those who say of me,
"There is no salvation for him in God."
(Selah)
3 But you, ADONAI, are a shield for me;
you are my glory, you lift my head high.
4 With my voice I call out to ADONAI,
and he answers me from his holy hill.
(Selah)
5 I lie down and sleep, then wake up again,
because ADONAI sustains me.
6 I am not afraid of the tens of thousands
set against me on every side.
7 Rise up, ADONAI!
Save me, my God!
For you slap all my enemies in the face,
you smash the teeth of the wicked.
8 Victory comes from ADONAI;
may your blessing rest on your people.

PSALMS: 33
1 Rejoice in ADONAI, you righteous!
Praise is well-suited to the upright.
2 Give thanks to ADONAI with the lyre,
sing praises to him with a ten-stringed harp.
3 Sing to him a new song,
make music at your best among shouts of joy.
4 For the word of ADONAI is true,
and all his work is trustworthy.
5 He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the grace of ADONAI.
6 By the word of ADONAI the heavens were made,
and their whole host by a breath from his mouth.
7 He collects the sea waters together in a heap;
he puts the deeps in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear ADONAI!
Let all living in the world stand in awe of him.
9 For he spoke, and there it was;
he commanded, and there it stood.
10 ADONAI brings to nothing the plans of nations,
he foils the plans of the peoples.
11 But the counsel of ADONAI stands forever,
his heart's plans are for all generations.
12 How blessed is the nation whose God is ADONAI,
the people he chose as his heritage!
13 ADONAI looks out from heaven;
he sees every human being;
14 from the place where he lives he
watches everyone living on earth,
15 he who fashioned the hearts of them
all and understands all they do.
16 A king is not saved by the size of his army,
a strong man not delivered by his great strength.
17 To rely on a horse for safety is vain,
nor does its great power assure escape.
18 But ADONAI's eyes watch over those who fear him,
over those who wait for his grace
19 to rescue them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
20 We are waiting for ADONAI;
he is our help and shield.
21 For in him our hearts rejoice,
because we trust in his holy name.
22 May your mercy, ADONAI, be over us,
because we put our hope in you.
PSALMS: 63
1 A psalm of David,
when he was in the desert of Y'hudah:
O God, you are my God;
I will seek you eagerly.
My heart thirsts for you,
my body longs for you in a land parched and exhausted,
where no water can be found.
2 I used to contemplate you in the sanctuary,
seeing your power and glory;
3 for your grace is better than life.
My lips will worship you.
4 Yes, I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 I am as satisfied as with rich food;
my mouth praises you with joy on my lips
6 when I remember you on my bed
and meditate on you in the night watches.
7 For you have been my help;
in the shadow of your wings I rejoice;
8 my heart clings to you;
your right hand supports me.
9 But those who seek to destroy my life -may
they go to the lowest parts of the earth.
10 May they be given over to the power of the sword;
may they become prey for jackals.
11 But the king will rejoice in God.
Everyone who swears by him will exult,
for the mouths of liars will be silenced.
PSALMS: 93
1 ADONAI is king, robed in majesty;
ADONAI is robed, girded with strength;
The world is well established;
it cannot be moved.
2 Your throne was established long ago;
you have existed forever.
3 ADONAI, the deep is raising up, the deep is raising up
its voice, the deep is raising its crashing waves.
4 More than the sound of rushing waters or the mighty breakers of the sea,
ADONAI on high is mighty.
5 Your instructions are very sure;
holiness befits your house,
ADONAI, for all time to come.
PSALMS: 123
1 A song of ascents:
I raise my eyes to you, whose throne is in heaven.
2 As a servant looks to the hand of his master,
or a slave-girl to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes turn to ADONAI our God,
until he has mercy on us.
3 Have mercy on us, ADONAI, have mercy;
for we have had our fill of contempt,
4 more than our fill of scorn from the complacent
and contempt from the arrogant.
PROVERBS: 3
1 My son, don't forget my teaching,
keep my commands in your heart;
2 for they will add to you many days,
years of life and peace.
3 Do not let grace and truth leave you -bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and esteem
in the sight of God and of people.
5 Trust in ADONAI with all your heart;
do not rely on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him;
then he will level your paths.
7 Don't be conceited about your own wisdom;
but fear ADONAI, and turn from evil.
8 This will bring health to your body
and give strength to your bones.
9 Honor ADONAI with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your income.
10 Then your granaries will be filled
and your vats overflow with new wine.
11 My son, don't despise ADONAI's discipline
or resent his reproof;
12 for ADONAI corrects those he loves
like a father who delights in his son.
13 Happy the person who finds wisdom,
the person who acquires understanding;
14 for her profit exceeds that of silver,
gaining her is better than gold,
15 she is more precious than pearls -nothing
you want can compare with her.
16 Long life is in her right hand,
riches and honor in her left.
17 Her ways are pleasant ways,
and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who grasp her;
whoever holds fast to her will be made happy.
19 ADONAI by wisdom founded the earth,
by understanding he established the heavens,
20 by his knowledge the deep [springs] burst open
and the dew condenses from the sky.
21 My son, don't let these slip from your sight;
preserve common sense and discretion;
22 they will be life for your being
and grace for your neck.
23 Then you will walk your way securely,
without hurting your foot.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
25 Don't be afraid of sudden terror or destruction caused by the wicked,
when it comes;
26 for you can rely on ADONAI;
he will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
27 Don't withhold good from someone entitled to it when
you have in hand the power to do it.
28 Don't tell your neighbor, "Go away!
Come another time;
I'll give it to you tomorrow,"
when you have it now.
29 Don't plan harm against your neighbor who lives beside you trustingly.
30 Don't quarrel with someone for no reason, if he has done you no harm.
31 Don't envy a man of violence, don't choose any of his ways;
32 for the perverse is an abomination to ADONAI,
but he shares his secret counsel with the upright.
33 ADONAI's curse is in the house of the wicked,
but he blesses the home of the righteous.
34 The scornful he scorns,
but gives grace to the humble.
35 The wise win honor,
but fools win shame.
OLD TESTAMENT: JUDGES 4:1 - 5:31
4:1 The children of Yisra'el again did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead. 2 The LORD sold them into the hand of Yavin king of Kana`an, who reigned in Hatzor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, who lived in Haroshet of the Goyim. 3 The children of Yisra'el cried to the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Yisra'el. 4 Now Devorah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidot, she judged Yisra'el at that time. 5 She lived under the palm tree of Devorah between Ramah and Beit-El in the hill-country of Efrayim: and the children of Yisra'el came up to her for judgment. 6 She sent and called Barak the son of Avino`am out of Kedesh-Naftali, and said to him, Hasn't the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, commanded, [saying], Go and draw to Mount Tavor, and take with you ten thousand men of the children of Naftali and of the children of Zevulun? 7 I will draw to you, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Yavin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand. 8 Barak said to her, If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go. 9 She said, I will surely go with you: notwithstanding, the journey that you take shall not be for your honor; for the LORD will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. Devorah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh. 10 Barak called Zevulun and Naftali together to Kedesh; and there went up ten thousand men at his feet: and Devorah went up with him. 11 Now Hever the Keni had separated himself from the Kinim, even from the children of Hovav the brother-in-law of Moshe, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Tza`anannim, which is by Kedesh. 12 They told Sisera that Barak the son of Avino`am was gone up to Mount Tavor. 13 Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Haroshet of the Goyim, to the river Kishon. 14 Devorah said to Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD has delivered Sisera into your hand; hasn't the LORD gone out before you? So Barak went down from Mount Tavor, and ten thousand men after him. 15 The LORD confused Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot, and fled away on his feet. 16 But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, to Haroshet of the Goyim: and all the host of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not a man left. 17 However Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Ya`el the wife of Hever the Keni; for there was shalom between Yavin the king of Hatzor and the house of Hever the Keni. 18 Ya`el went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; don't be afraid. He turned in to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug. 19 He said to her, Please give me a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. She opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him. 20 He said to her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man does come and inquire of you, and say, Is there any man here? that you shall say, No. 21 Then Ya`el Hever's wife took a tent-pin, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground; for he was in a deep sleep; so he swooned and died. 22 Behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Ya`el came out to meet him, and said to him, Come, and I will show you the man whom you seek. He came to her; and, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent-pin was in his temples. 23 So God subdued on that day Yavin the king of Kana`an before the children of Yisra'el. 24 The hand of the children of Yisra'el prevailed more and more against Yavin the king of Kana`an, until they had destroyed Yavin king of Kana`an.
5:1 Then sang Devorah and Barak the son of Avino`am on that day, saying, 2 For that the leaders took the lead in Yisra'el, For that the people offered themselves willingly, Bless you the LORD. 3 Hear, you kings; give ear, you princes; I, [even] I, will sing to the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD, the God of Yisra'el. 4 LORD, when you went forth out of Se`ir, When you marched out of the field of Edom, The eretz trembled, the sky also dropped, Yes, the clouds dropped water. 5 The mountains quaked at the presence of the LORD, Even Sinai at the presence of the LORD, the God of Yisra'el. 6 In the days of Shamgar the son of `Anat, In the days of Ya`el, the highways were unoccupied, The travelers walked through byways. 7 The rulers ceased in Yisra'el, they ceased, Until that I Devorah arose, That I arose a mother in Yisra'el. 8 They chose new gods; Then was war in the gates: Was there a shield or spear seen Among forty thousand in Yisra'el? 9 My heart is toward the governors of Yisra'el, Who offered themselves willingly among the people: Bless you the LORD. 10 Tell [of it], you who ride on white donkeys, You who sit on rich carpets, You who walk by the way. 11 Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, There shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, [Even] the righteous acts of his rule in Yisra'el. Then the people of the LORD went down to the gates. 12 Awake, awake, Devorah; Awake, awake, utter a song: Arise, Barak, and lead away your captives, you son of Avino`am. 13 Then came down a remnant of the nobles [and] the people; The LORD came down for me against the mighty. 14 Out of Efrayim [came down] they whose root is in `Amalek; After you, Binyamin, among your peoples; Out of Makhir came down governors, Out of Zevulun those who handle the marshal's staff. 15 The princes of Yissakhar were with Devorah; As was Yissakhar, so was Barak; Into the valley they rushed forth at his feet. By the watercourses of Re'uven There were great resolves of heart. 16 Why sat you among the sheepfolds, To hear the whistling for the flocks? At the watercourses of Re'uven There were great searchings of heart. 17 Gil`ad abode beyond the Yarden: Dan, why did he remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, Abode by his creeks. 18 Zevulun was a people that jeopardized their lives to the death, Naftali, on the high places of the field. 19 The kings came and fought; Then fought the kings of Kana`an. In Ta`nakh by the waters of Megiddo: They took no gain of money. 20 From the sky the stars fought, From their courses they fought against Sisera. 21 The river Kishon swept them away, That ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength. 22 Then did the horse hoofs stamp By reason of the prancings, the prancings of their strong ones. 23 Curse you Meroz, said the angel of the LORD. Curse you bitterly the inhabitants of it, Because they didn't come to the help of the LORD, To the help of the LORD against the mighty. 24 Blessed above women shall Ya`el be, The wife of Hever the Keni; Blessed shall she be above women in the tent. 25 He asked water, [and] she gave him milk; She brought him butter in a lordly dish. 26 She put her hand to the tent-pin, Her right hand to the workmen's hammer; With the hammer she struck Sisera, she struck through his head; Yes, she pierced and struck through his temples. 27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay; At her feet he bowed, he fell; Where he bowed, there he fell down dead. 28 Through the window she looked forth, and cried, The mother of Sisera [cried] through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots wait? 29 Her wise ladies answered her, Yes, she returned answer to herself, 30 Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A lady, two ladies to every man; To Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil? 31 So let all your enemies perish, LORD: But let those who love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. The land had rest forty years.
NEW TESTAMENT: LUKE 22:35 - 53
22:35 He said to them, "When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing."
36 Then he said to them, "But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
37 For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: 'He was counted with the lawless.' For that which concerns me has an end."
38 They said, "Lord, behold, here are two swords." He said to them, "That is enough."
39 He came out, and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His talmidim also followed him.
40 When he was at the place, he said to them, "Pray that you don't enter into temptation."
41 He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and he knelt down and prayed,
42 saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."
43 An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.
44 Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
45 When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the talmidim, and found them sleeping because of grief,
46 and said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation."
47 While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who was called Yehudah, one of the twelve, went in front of them. He came near to Yeshua to kiss him.
48 But Yeshua said to him, "Yehudah, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?"
49 When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?"
50 A certain one of them struck the servant of the Kohen Gadol, and cut off his right ear.
51 But Yeshua answered, "Let me at least do this" -- and he touched his ear, and healed him.
52 Yeshua said to the chief Kohanim, captains of the temple, and Zakenim, who had come against him, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
53 When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn't stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness."

הנמצאים עליי מסביב.

הושיעני, אלוהי!

צופה בכל יושב הארץ,
15עיצב לבבותיהם
וכל מעשיהם מבין.
16מלך לא ינצל בגודל צבאו,
גבר לא ינצל בכוחו הרב.
17הישען על סוס לבטחון הוא הבל,
וכוחו הרב לא יבטיח מפלט.
18עיני ה' משגיחות על יראיו,
על המחכים לחסדו
19להצילם ממוות
ולהחיותם ברעב.
20אנו מחכים לה',
עזרתנו ומגינו הוא. 21 כי בו שמח לבנו,
כי בשם קדשו בטחנו.
22 יהי חסדך ה' עלינו,
כי בך תקוותנו.

1 יהוה מלך, לבוש הוד;
יהוה לבוש, חגור כוח;
תבל כון,
לא יזוז.
2 כסאך כון מזמן;
עד עולם היית.
3 יהוה, תהום מתרוממת, תהום מתרוממת
קולה, תהום מתרוממת גליה המתנפצים.
4 יותר מקול מים שוצפים, או משברי ים אדירים,
אדוני במרומים.
5 נאמנתי מאוד תורתך;
קדוש ראוי לביתך,
אדוני, לעולמי עולמים.

אֵלֶיךָ אֶשְׂאֶה עֵינִי, כִּסְאֵלֶיךָ בַּשָּׁמַיִם.
2 כְּעַבְד אֶל־יָד־אֲדוֹנָיו,
וְכַפְחָה אֶל־יָד־גְבַרְתָּה,
כֵן עֵינֵינוּ אֶל־ה' אֱלֹהֵינוּ,

כתוב אותם על לוח לבבך.
4 אז תמצא חן וכבוד
בעיני אלוהים ואנשים.
5 בטח בה' בכל לבבך;
אל תסמוך על בינתך.
6 בכל דרכיך דע אותו;
והוא יישר את אורחותיך.
7 אל תתגאה בחכמתך;
כי ירא את ה', וסור מרע.
8 זה יבריא לגופך
ויתן כוח לעצמותיך.
9 כבד את ה' בעושרך
ובבראשית כל הכנסתך. 10 אז ימלאו אגרותיך
וחבתיך יעלו על גדותיו יין חדש.
11 בני, אל תבזה מוסר ה'
ואל תתמרמר על תוכחתו;
12 כי ה' יתקן את אהוביו
כאב חפץ בבנו.
13 אשרי אדם מוצא חכמה,
אדם רוכש תבונה;
14 כי רווחיה עלה על כסף,
טוב להוציאה מזהב,
15 יקרה היא מפנינים - כל מה שאתה לא יכול להשוות לה.
16 חיים ארוכים בימינה,
עושר וכבוד בשמאלה.
17 דרכיה דרכי נועם,
וכל נתיבותיה שלום.
18 עץ חיים היא לאוחזים בה;
כל הנאחז בה יהיה אשרי.
19 יְהוָה בְּחָכְמָה יָסֵד אֶרֶץ,
בְּתִבִּינָה כֹּנֶה שָׁמַיִם,
20 בְּדַּעְתּוֹ נִפְרַצוּ מַעֲמוֹת,
וְטַל יָעֲבַר מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם.
21 בְנִי, אַל תִּמְחַלֵּק אֵלֶּה מִמְּעֵינֶיךָ;
שמר שָׁקֶר וּשְׁקָלוּת;
22 הֵם לְחַיִּים לְנַפְשֶׁךָ,
וְחֶן לְצַוָּרְךָ.
23 וְלַכֶּה דַּרְכֶּךָ בְטַח,
וְלֹא תִפָּגֵעַ רַגְלֶךָ.
24 בִּשְׁכֹבְךָ, לֹא תִפְרַא;
בִּשְׁכֹבְךָ, שְׁנָתְךָ תִּתְמוּקָה.
25 אַל תִּפְרַא מִפְּעוֹל פָּתָם, וְאֶפֶן שֶׁיִּבָּא;
26 כִּי עַל יְהוָה תִּסְתַּכָּח;
הוּא יִשְׁמֹר אֶת רַגְךָ מִמַּלְכוּד.
27 אַל תִּמְנַע טוֹב מֵאֵלֶּה שֶׁלָּהּ, כִּי בְּיָדְךָ יָדוֹ. 28 אל תאמר לרעך, "לך! בוא בפעם אחרת; אתן לך מחר",
כשהיה לך.
29 אל תכנן רעה לרעך היושב איתך בבטחה.
30 אל תריב עם איש ללא סיבה, אם לא עשה לך רע.
31 אל תקנא באיש חמס, אל תבחר בכל מדרכיו;
32 כי תועבת ה' עוול,
ועם ישרים הוא חולק את עצתו.
33 קללת ה' בבית רשעים,
ואת בית צדיקים הוא יברך.
34 לבוז הוא בוז,
ולענווים יתן חן.
35 חכם יזכה בכבוד,
וסכלים יזכו בבושה.

ד':1 וַיַּסְפוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְעֲשׂוֹת אֶת הָרָע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה, כִּי מוֹת אֵהוּד.2 וַיְמַכֵּר אֹתָם יְהוָה בְּיַד יְבִין מֶלֶךְ כְּנַעַן, אֲשֶׁר מָלָכֶם בְּחַצּוֹר, וְסִיסְרָא שָׁר צְבָאוֹ, וְיֹשֶׁב בְּחָרוּשֶׁת הַגּוֹיִם.3 וַיִּקְעוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְהוָה, כִּי הָיוּ לוֹ תשע מאות מרכבות בַּרְזֶל, וְעָצֵק מְאֹד אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה.4 וַדְבוּרָה הַנְּבִיאִה, אֵשֶׁת לַפִּידוֹת, הִיא שָׁפְטָה אֶת־יְשָׂרָא בֵּין־רְמָה וּבֵין־בֵּית־אֵל בְּהַר־אֶפְרָיִם, וַיַּעֲלוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֵלֶיהָ לְשִׁפְטָה.5 וַיַּשְׁבֶת תַּחַת־דָּר דְבוּרָה, בֵּין־רְמָה וּבֵי־בֵּית־אֵל, בְּהַר־אֶפְרָיִם, וַיַּעֲלוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, אֵלֶיהָ לְשִׁפְט.ו ותשלח ותקרא לברק בן אבינעם מקדש נפתלי ותאמר אליו הלוא צוה ה' אלוהי ישראל לאמור לך ומשוך אל הר תבור וקח איתך עשרת אלפים איש מבני נפתלי ומבני זבולון׃ ז ואמשוך אליך אל נחל קישון את סיסרא שר צבא יבין ואת מרכבתו ואתנהו בידך׃ ח ברק אמר לה אם תלך עמי ואלך ואם לא תלך עמי לא אלך׃ ט ותאמר אלך אלך עמך אך לא לכבודך יהיה הדרך אשר תלך כי ביד אשה ימכור ה' את סיסרא׃ קמה דבורה ותלך עם ברק קדש׃ י ויקרא ברק לזבולון ולנפתלי קדש ויעלו עשרת אלפים איש לרגליו ודבורה עלתה עמו. יא וחבר הקני הבדיל את עצמו מן הקינים מבני חובב גיסו של משה ויחנה את אהלו עד האלון בצעננים אשר על קדש. יב ויגידו לסיסרא כי עלה ברק בן אבינעם אל הר תבור. יג ויאסף סיסרא את כל מרכבותיו תשע מאות רכבות ברזל ואת כל העם אשר עמו מחרושת הגויים עד נחל קישון. יד ותאמר דבורה אל ברק קום כי זה היום אשר נתן ה' את סיסרא בידך הלוא יצא ה' לפניך וירד ברק מהר תבור ואחריו עשרת אלפים איש. 15 וַיְבַלֵּל יְהוָה אֶת-סִיסְרָא אֶת-כָּל-מֶרְכֶּבָלָיו אֶת-חֶרֶב לִפְנֵי בָרָק, וַיַּרְדֶּבְרָק מֵמֶרְכֶּבָלָיו וַיָּבֹרֶךְ עַל-רַגְלָיו. 16 וַיַּרְדֵּף בָרָק אֶת-הֶמֶשֶׁת וַיַּפְל כָּל-מֶרְכֶּבָל סִיסְרָא עַל-חֲרָב הַגּוֹיִם, וַיִּפְלֹא כָּל-מֶרְכֶּבָל סִיסְרָא עַל-חֶרֶב, לֹא-נָתַר אִישׁ. 17 וַיַּרְס סִיסְרָא עַל-רַגְלָיו אֶל-אָהֲלָת יֶעֶל אִשְׁתּוֹ שֶׁל חֶבֶר הַקֶני, כִּי-שָׁלוֹם הָיָה בֵּין יֶבֶן מֶלֶךְ חְצוֹר וּבֵין-בֵּית חֶבֶר הַקֶני. 18 וַיֵּצֵא יֶעֶל לִפְנֵי סִיסְרָא וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו: "סָב אֲדֹנִי, סָב אֵלָי, אַל-תִּירָא." וַיָּבֹר אֵלָהּ אֶל-הַאֹהֶל וַתִּכְסֶה אוֹהֵל בַּשְׁמִיחָה. 19 וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיהָ: "שְׁתִּי-נָא קַט מַיִם, כִּי-צָמָא אָנֹכִי." ותפתח בקבוק חלב ותשקה אותו ותכסה אותו. 20 ויאמר לה עמדי בפתח האהל והיה כי יבוא איש ושאל אותך ואמר היש כאן איש ותאמר לא. 21 ותקח אשת יעל חבר יתד ותקח פטיש בידה ותלך אליו בחדות ותכה את היתד ברקותיו ותבקע באדמה כי שינה עמוקה הייתה והוא התעלף ומת. 22 הנה ברק רודף אחרי סיסרא ויצא יעל לקראתו ויאמר אליו לך וארא לך את האיש אשר אתה מבקש והוא בא אליה והנה סיסרא שכב מת והיתד ברקותיו. 23 ויכניע אלוהים ביום ההוא את יבין מלך כנען לפני בני ישראל. 24 וְהָיָה יָד בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל גָּדָה עַל־יְבִין מֶלֶךְ כְּנַעַן עַד־הַשְׁמִידוּ אֶת־יְבִין מֶלֶךְ כְּנַעַן׃
5:1 אז ישירו דבורה וברק בן אבינעם ביום ההוא לאמר: 2 על אשר מנהיגו ראשים בישראל, על אשר ננדב העם, ברכו את ה'. 3 שמעו מלכים, האזינו נסיכים, אני אשיר לה', אשירה לה' אלוהי ישראל. 4 ה' בצאתך משעיר, בצעדתך משדה אדום, רעדה הארץ, גם שמים נטפו, כן עננים נטפו מים. 5 הרים רעדו לפני ה', וסיני לפני ה' אלוהי ישראל. 6 בימי שמגר בן ענת, בימי יעל, הדרכות היו ריקות, נוסעים הלכו בדרכים. ז חדלו מנהיגים בישראל, חדלו, עד אשר קמתי דבורה, אשר קמתי אם בישראל. ח בחרו אלהים חדשים; אז הייתה מלחמה בשערים: האם מגן וחנית נראה בארבעים אלף בישראל? ט לבי אל נשיאי ישראל, אשר התנדבו בעם: ברוך אתם ה'. י ספרו רוכבים על חמורים לבנים, יושבים על שטיחים יפים, הולכי דרך. יא הרחק מקול קשתים, במקומות שאב מים, שם ישוחחו צדקת ה', צדקת מלכותו בישראל. אז ירדו עם ה' אל השערים. יב עורי, עורי דבורה; עורי, עורי, שירה: קום ברק, והוביל את שביך בן אבינעם. יג אז ירדו שארית אצילים ועם; ירד לי ה' על-גיבורים. 14 מאפרים אשר שורשם בעמלק; אחריך בנימין בעמך; ממכר ירדו נציבים, מזבולון מחזיקי מטה שריף. 15 שרי יששכר עם דבורה; כיששכר כן ברק; אל-העמק דהרו לרגליו. על-נחלי ראובן היו נחלות לב גדולות. 16 למה ישבת בדירים, לשמוע שריקה לעדר? על-נחלי ראובן היו חיפושי לב גדולות. 17 גלעד ישב מעבר לירדן; דן, למה ישב באניות? אשר ישב בחוף ים, ישב על-נחליו. יח זבולון היה עם אשר סיכן את נפשו עד מוות, נפתלי על במות השדה. יט באו מלכים ונלחמו; אז נלחמו מלכי כנען. בתנח על מי מגידו; לא לקחו כסף. 20 מן השמים נלחמו כוכבים, ממסלוליהם נלחמו בסיסרא. 21 נחל קישון סחף אותם, נחל קדמון, נחל קישון. לכי נפשי בחיל. 22 אז דרכו פרסות סוסים, מדהימה, מדהימה של גבוריהם. 23 קללת מרוז, אמר מלאך ה'. קללת מרה את יושבי, כי לא באו לעזרת ה', לעזרת ה' בגיבורים. 24 ברוך מנשים יעל, אשת חבר הקני; ברוך תהיה על נשים באוהל. 25 מים שאל, חלב נתן לו; חמאה בקערה מלכותית הביאה לו. 26 ידה שלחה אל יתד האוהל, יד ימינה אל פטיש החרושת; בפטיש הכתה את סיסרא, נגעה בראשו; כן דקרה ופגעה ברקותיו. 27 לרגליה השתחווה, נפל, שכב; לרגליה השתחווה, נפל; במקום שבו השתחווה, שם נפל מת. 28 דרך החלון הביטה ותצעק, אם סיסרא [צעקה] דרך הסורג, למה מאחרת מרכבתו לבוא? למה מחכים גלגלי מרכבתו? 29 נערותיה החכמות ענו לה, כן, היא השיבה תשובה לעצמה, 30 הלא מצאו, הלא חילקו את השלל? גברת, שתי גברות לכל גבר; לסיסרא שלל בגדים צבועים, שלל בגדים צבועים רקומים, שלל בגדים צבועים רקומים משני צידיו, על צווארי השלל? 31 כך יאבדו כל אויביך, יהוה, ויהיו אוהביו כשמש בצאתו בגבורתו. שבת הארץ ארבעים שנה.
הברית החדשה: לוקס כב:35 - 53
כב:35 אמר להם: "כאשר שלחתי אתכם בלי ארנק, ארנק ונעליים, האם חסר לכם דבר?" אמרו: "לא חסר לכם דבר."
36 אמר להם: "אבל עכשיו, מי שיש לו ארנק, ייקח אותו, וכך גם ארנק. מי שאין לו, ימכור את גלימתו ויקנה חרב.
37 כי אני אומר לכם שדבר הכתוב חייב להתקיים בי: 'הוא נחשב עם הרשעים'. כי לכל מה שקשור אליי יש סוף."
38 אמרו: "אדוני, הנה שתי חרבות." אמר להם: "די."
39 יצא והלך, כמנהגו, להר הזיתים. גם תלמידיו הלכו אחריו.
40 כשהגיע למקום, אמר להם: "התפללו שלא תבואו בניסיון." 41 הוא התרחק מהם כמרחק זריקת אבן, כרע ברך והתפלל,
42 ואמר: "אבי, אם תרצה, הסיר את הכוס הזאת ממני. אך לא רצוני יעשה."
43 מלאך מן השמים נראה אליו וחיזק אותו.
44 כשהיה בכאב רב, התפלל ביתר שאת, וזיעתו הייתה כטיפות דם גדולות הנופלות על האדמה.
45 כשקם מתפילתו, ניגש אל התלמידים, ומצא אותם ישנים מצער,
46 ואמר להם: "למה אתם ישנים? קומו והתפללו למען לא תבואו בניסיון."
47 בעודו מדבר, הנה המון אנשים, וזה שנקרא יהודה, אחד משנים עשר, הלך לפניהם. הוא ניגש אל ישוע לנשקו.
48 ויאמר אליו ישוע: "יהודה, האם בנשיקה אתה בוגד בבן האדם?" 49 כאשר ראו הסובבים אותו את העומד לקרות, אמרו לו: "אדוני, האם נכה בחרב?"
50 אחד מהם הכה את עבד הכהן הגדול וכרת את אוזנו הימנית.
51 ויען ישוע: "תן לי לעשות זאת לפחות!" והוא נגע באוזנו וריפא אותו.
52 ויאמר ישוע לראשי הכוהנים, מפקדי המקדש והזקנים, אשר באו נגדו: "האם יצאתם כנגד שודד, בחרבות ובמקלות?
53 כאשר הייתי עמכם בבית המקדש יום יום, לא שלחתם את ידיכם נגדי. אך זוהי שעתכם וכוח החושך."
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
