1 The king rejoices in your strength, LORD!
How greatly he rejoices in your yeshu`ah!
2 You have given him his heart's desire,
And have not withheld the request of his lips.
Selah.
3 For you meet him with the blessings of goodness;
You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
4 He asked life of you, you gave it to him,
Even length of days forever and ever.
5 His glory is great in your salvation.
You lay honor and majesty on him.
6 For you make him most blessed forever.
You make him glad with joy in your presence.
7 For the king trusts in the LORD.
Through the loving kindness of Ha`Elyon,
he shall not be moved.
8 Your hand will find out all of your enemies.
Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
9 You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger.
The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath.
The fire shall devour them.
10 You will destroy their descendants from the eretz,
Their posterity from among the children of men.
11 For they intended evil against you.
They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.
12 For you will make them turn their back,
When you aim drawn bows at their face.
13 Be exalted, LORD, in your strength,
So we will sing and praise your power.
PSALMS: 51
1 Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.
Cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions.
My sin is constantly before me.
4 Against you, and you only, have I sinned,
And done that which is evil in your sight;
That you may be proved right when you speak,
And justified when you judge.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity.
In sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts.
You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
7 Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean.
Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins,
And blot out all of my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a right spirit within me.
11 Don't throw me from your presence,
And don't take your holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation.
Uphold me with a willing spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways.
Sinners shall be converted to you.
14 Deliver me from blood guiltiness,
O God, the God of my salvation.
My tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
15 Lord, open my lips.
My mouth shall declare your praise.
16 For you don't delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it.
You have no pleasure in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.
A broken and contrite heart,
O God, you will not despise.
18 Do well in your good pleasure to Tziyon.
Build the walls of Yerushalayim.
19 Then will you delight in the sacrifices of righteousness,
In burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings.
Then they will offer bulls on your altar.
PSALMS: 81
1 Sing aloud to God, our strength!
Make a joyful noise to the God of Ya`akov!
2 Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine,
The pleasant lyre with the harp.
3 Blow the shofar at the New Moon,
At the full moon, on our feast day.
4 For it is a statute for Yisra'el,
An ordinance of the God of Ya`akov.
5 He appointed it in Yosef for a testimony,
When he went out over the land of Mitzrayim,
I heard a language that I didn't know.
6 "I removed his shoulder from the burden.
His hands were freed from the basket.
7 You called in trouble, and I delivered you.
I answered you in the secret place of thunder.
I tested you at the waters of Merivah."
Selah.
8 "Hear, my people, and I will testify to you.
Yisra'el, if you would listen to me!
9 There shall be no strange god in you,
Neither shall you worship any foreign god.
10 I am the LORD, your God,
Who brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim.
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 But my people didn't listen to my voice.
Yisra'el desired none of me.
12 So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts,
That they might walk in their own counsels.
13 Oh that my people would listen to me,
That Yisra'el would walk in my ways!
14 I would soon subdue their enemies,
And turn my hand against their adversaries.
15 The haters of the LORD would cringe before him,
And their punishment would last forever.
16 But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat.
I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock."
PSALMS: 111
1 Praise the LORD!
I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart,
In the council of the upright, and in the congregation.
2 The works of the LORD are great,
Pondered by all those who delight in them.
3 His work is honor and majesty.
His righteousness endures forever.
4 He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered.
The LORD is gracious and merciful.
5 He has given food to those who fear him.
He always remembers his covenant.
6 He has shown his people the power of his works,
In giving them the heritage of the nations.
7 The works of his hands are truth and justice.
All his precepts are sure.
8 They are established forever and ever.
They are done in truth and uprightness.
9 He has sent redemption to his people.
He has ordained his covenant forever.
His name is holy and awesome!
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
All those who do his work have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever!
PSALMS: 141
1 LORD, I have called on you. Come to me quickly!
Listen to my voice when I call to you.
2 Let my prayer be set before you like incense; ‘
The lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice.
3 Set a watch, LORD, before my mouth.
Keep the door of my lips.
4 Don't incline my heart to any evil thing, ‘
To practice deeds of wickedness with men who work iniquity.
Don't let me eat of their delicacies.
5 Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness;
Let him reprove me, it is like oil on the head;
Don't let my head refuse it;
Yet my prayer is always against evil deeds.
6 Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock.
They will hear my words, for they are well spoken.
7 "As when one plows and breaks up the eretz,
Our bones are scattered at the mouth of She'ol."
8 For my eyes are on you, LORD, the Lord.
In you, I take refuge. Don't leave my soul destitute.
9 Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me,
From the traps of the workers of iniquity.
10 Let the wicked fall together into their own nets,
While I pass by.
PROVERBS: 21
1 The king's heart is in the LORD's hand like the watercourses.
He turns it wherever he desires.
2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
But the LORD weighs the hearts.
3 To do righteousness and justice
Is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4 A high look, and a proud heart,
The lamp of the wicked, is sin.
5 The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit;
And everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.
6 Getting treasures by a lying tongue
Is a fleeting vapor for those who seek death.
7 The violence of the wicked will drive them away,
Because they refuse to do what is right.
8 The way of the guilty is devious,
But the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop,
Than to share a house with a contentious woman.
10 The soul of the wicked desires evil;
His neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.
11 When the mocker is punished, the simple gains wisdom;
When the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.
12 The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked,
And brings the wicked to ruin.
13 Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor,
He will also cry out, but shall not be heard.
14 A gift in secret pacifies anger;
And a bribe in the cloak, strong wrath.
15 It is joy to the righteous to do justice;
But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
16 The man who wanders out of the way of understanding
Shall rest in the assembly of the dead.
17 He who loves pleasure shall be a poor man:
He who loves wine and oil shall not be rich.
18 The wicked is a ransom for the righteous;
The treacherous for the upright.
19 It is better to dwell in a desert land,
Than with a contentious and fretful woman.
20 There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise;
But a foolish man swallows it up.
21 He who follows after righteousness and kindness
Finds life, righteousness, and honor.
22 A wise man scales the city of the mighty,
And brings down the strength of its confidence.
23Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue
Keeps his soul from troubles.
24 The proud and haughty man, "scoffer" is his name;
He works in the arrogance of pride.
25 The desire of the sluggard kills him,
For his hands refuse to labor.
26 There are those who covet greedily all the day long;
But the righteous gives and doesn't withhold.
27 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination:
How much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind!
28 A false witness will perish,
And a man who listens speaks to eternity.
29 A wicked man hardens his face;
But as for the upright, he establishes his ways.
30 There is no wisdom nor understanding
Nor counsel against the LORD.
31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle;
But victory is with the LORD.
OLD TESTAMENT: 1 KINGS 7:1 - 51
7:1 Shlomo was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
2 For he built the house of the forest of Levanon; the length of it was one hundred cubits, and the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits, on four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams on the pillars.
3 It was covered with cedar above over the forty-five beams, that were on the pillars; fifteen in a row.
4 There were beams in three rows, and window was over against window in three ranks.
5 All the doors and posts were made square with beams: and window was over against window in three ranks.
6 He made the porch of pillars; the length of it was fifty cubits, and the breadth of it thirty cubits; and a porch before them; and pillars and a threshold before them.
7 He made the porch of the throne where he was to judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from floor to floor.
8 His house where he was to dwell, the other court within the porch, was of the like work. He made also a house for Par`oh's daughter (whom Shlomo had taken as wife), like this porch.
9 All these were of costly stones, even of hewn stone, according to measure, sawed with saws, inside and outside, even from the foundation to the coping, and so on the outside to the great court.
10 The foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
11 Above were costly stones, even hewn stone, according to measure, and cedar-wood.
12 The great court round about had three courses of hewn stone, and a course of cedar beams; like as the inner court of the house of the LORD, and the porch of the house.
13 King Shlomo sent and fetched Hiram out of Tzor.
14 He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naftali, and his father was a man of Tzor, a worker in brass; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill, to work all works in brass. He came to king Shlomo, and performed all his work.
15 For he fashioned the two pillars of brass, eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits compassed either of them about.
16 He made two capitals of molten brass, to set on the tops of the pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.
17 There were nets of checker-work, and wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which were on the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.
18 So he made the pillars; and there were two rows round about on the one network, to cover the capitals that were on the top of the pillars: and so did he for the other capital.
19 The capitals that were on the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily-work, four cubits.
20 There were capitals above also on the two pillars, close by the belly which was beside the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows round about on the other capital.
21 He set up the pillars at the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name of it Yakhin; and he set up the left pillar, and called the name of it Bo`az.
22 On the top of the pillars was lily-work: so was the work of the pillars finished.
23 He made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and the height of it was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits compassed it round about.
24 Under the brim of it round about there were buds which did compass it, for ten cubits, compassing the sea round about: the buds were in two rows, cast when it was cast.
25 It stood on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set on them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.
26 It was a handbreadth thick: and the brim of it was worked like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it held two thousand baths.
27 He made the ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth of it, and three cubits the height of it.
28 The work of the bases was on this manner: they had panels; and there were panels between the ledges;
29 and on the panels that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and Keruvim; and on the ledges there was a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.
30 Every base had four brazen wheels, and axles of brass; and the four feet of it had supports: beneath the basin were the supports molten, with wreaths at the side of each.
31 The mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: and the mouth of it was round after the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also on the mouth of it were engravings, and their panels were foursquare, not round.
32 The four wheels were underneath the panels; and the axles of the wheels were in the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
33 The work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axles, and their rims, and their spokes, and their naves, were all molten.
34 There were four supports at the four corners of each base: the supports of it were of the base itself.
35 In the top of the base was there a round compass half a cubit high; and on the top of the base the stays of it and the panels of it were of the same.
36 On the plates of the stays of it, and on the panels of it, he engraved Keruvim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about.
37 After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.
38 He made ten basins of brass: one basin contained forty baths; and every basin was four cubits; and on very one of the ten bases one basin.
39 He set the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.
40 Hiram made the basins, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he worked for king Shlomo in the house of the LORD:
41 the two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;
42 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars;
43 and the ten bases, and the ten basins on the bases;
44 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;
45 and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Shlomo, in the house of the LORD, were of burnished brass.
46 In the plain of the Yarden did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Sukkot and Tzaretan.
47 Shlomo left all the vessels [unweighed], because they were exceeding many: the weight of the brass could not be found out.
48 Shlomo made all the vessels that were in the house of the LORD: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the show bread was, of gold;
49 and the menorot, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;
50 and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, [to wit], of the temple, of gold.
51 Thus all the work that king Shlomo worked in the house of the LORD was finished. Shlomo brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, [even] the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of the LORD.
NEW TESTAMENT: ACTS 7:30 - 50
7:30 "When forty years were fulfilled, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.
31 When Moshe saw it, he wondered at the sight. As he came close to see, a voice of the Lord came to him,
32 'I am the God of your fathers, the God of Avraham, the God of Yitzchak, and the God of Ya`akov.' Moshe trembled, and dared not look.
33 The Lord said to him, 'Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.
34 I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Mitzrayim, and have heard their groaning. I have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you into Mitzrayim.'
35 "This Moshe, whom they refused, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?' -- God has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer with the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
36 This man led them forth, having worked wonders and signs in Mitzrayim, in the Sea of Suf, and in the wilderness forty years.
37 This is that Moshe, who said to the children of Yisra'el, 'The Lord God will raise up a prophet to you from among your brothers, like me.'
38 This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living oracles to give to us,
39 to whom our fathers wouldn't be obedient, but rejected him, and turned back in their hearts to Mitzrayim,
40 saying to Aharon, 'Make us gods that will go before us, for as for this Moshe, who led us forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, we don't know what has become of him.'
41 They made a calf in those days, and brought a sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their hands.
42 But God turned, and gave them up to serve the host of the sky, as it is written in the book of the prophets, 'Did you offer to me slain animals and sacrifices Forty years in the wilderness, O house of Yisra'el?
43 You took up the tent of Molekh, The star of your god Reifan, The figures which you made to worship. I will carry you away beyond Bavel.'
44 "Our fathers had the tent of the testimony in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Moshe appointed, that he should make it according to the pattern that he had seen;
45 which also our fathers, in their turn, brought in with Yehoshua when they entered into the possession of the nations, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, to the days of David,
46 who found favor in the sight of God, and asked to find a habitation for the God of Ya`akov.
47 But Shlomo built him a house.
48 However, Ha`Elyon doesn't dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says,
49 'heaven is my throne, And the eretz the footstool of my feet. What kind of house will you build me?' says the Lord; 'Or what is the place of my rest?
50 Didn't my hand make all these things?'

עטרת זהב על ראשו.
4 שאל ממך חיים, נתת לו,
וארך ימים לעולם ועד.
5 גדול כבודו בישועתך.
כבוד והוד נתת עליו. 6 כי אתה מבורך אותו לנצח. אתה משמח אותו בשמחה לפניך. 7 כי על ה' בטח מלך. בחסד האליון לא יזוז. 8 ידך תמצא את כל אויביך. ימינך תמצא את שונאיך. 9 תעשה אותם ככבשן אש בעת אףך. ה' יבלע אותם בחמתו. אש תאכל אותם. 10 תשמיד את צאצאיהם מן הארץ,
את צאצאיהם מבני אדם. 11 כי חשבו עליך רעה. זממו עליך רעה אשר לא תצליח. 12 כי תסובב עורף,
כי תכוון קשתות שלופות אל פניהם.
13 התרוממה ה' בעוצמתך,
אז נשיר ונשבח את כוחך.

1 חנני אלוהים, כחסדך. כרב רחמיך, מחק פשעיי.
2 רחצני היטב מעוני. טהרני מחטאי.
3 כי ידעתי פשעיי. חטאתי תמיד לפני.
4 לך ולך בלבד חטאתי,
ואשר הרע בעיניך עשיתי; למען תוכח צדק בדברך,
וצדק במשפט.
5 הנה, בעון ילדתי. בחטא הרתה אותי אמי.
6 הנה, אמת חפצת בפנימיות. תלמדני חכמה בתוך פנימיות.
7 בטהרני באזוב, ואהיה טהור. רחצני, ואהיה לבן משלג.
8 אשמעי שִׂשׂוֹן ושׂשׂון,
למען ישמחו עצמות שברת.
9 הסתר פניך מחטאי,
ומחה כל עוונותיי.
10 ברא בי לב נקי, אלוהים. חדש רוח ישרה בקרבי.
11 אל תשליכני מפניך,
ואת רוח קדשך אל תקח ממני.

1 שירו לאלהים מעוזנו!
הריעו לאלהי יעקב!
2 הרימו שיר והביאו תוף,
כינור נעים בכינור.
3 תקעו בשופר בראש חודש,
במלא ירח בחגנו.
4 כי חוק הוא לישראל,
משפט לאלהי יעקב.
5 הוא קבע זאת ביוסף לעדות,
בצאתו על ארץ מצרים,
שפה לא ידעתי.
6 "הורדתי את כתפו מהמשא,
ידיו שחררו מהסלסלה.
7 קראת בצרה, ואצילך,
אענתך בסתר רעם,
אנסה אותך במי מריבה."

ישראל, אם תשמע לי!
ט לא יהיה בך אלהי זר,

ישראל לא חפץ בי.
12 ואשלח אותם אחרי עקשנות ליבם,
למען ילכו בעצותיהם.
13 מי ייתן ועמי ישמע לי,
מי ייתן ישראל בדרכי!
14 מהרה אכניע את אויביהם,
ואפנה את ידי אל אויביהם.
15 שונאי ה' יתכווצו לפניו,
ועונשם יהיה לעולם.
16 וגם הוא היה מאכיל אותם "מטובת החיטה.

משלי: 21
1 לב מלך ביד ה' כנחלים. כאשר יחפוץ יפנהו.
2 כל דרך איש ישרה בעיניו,
וה' שוקל לבבות.
3 לעשות צדקה ומשפט
רצוי לה' מזבח.
4 מראה גבה ולב גאה,
נר רשעים חטא הוא.
5 מחשבות חרוצים יובילו לרווח;
וכל ממהר ירדו לעני.
6 אוצרות בלשון שקר
אדים חולפים למבקשי מוות.
7 אלימות רשעים תבריחם,
כי יסרבו לעשות צדק.
8 דרך אשמים תמה,
והתנהגותם של תם ישרה.
ט טוב לשבת בפינת גג,
מאשר לחלוק בית עם אשת ריב.
10 נפש רשע חפצה רעה;
לא ימצא רחמים בעיניו.
11 כי נענש לעץ, פשטן יקבל חכמה;
כי ילמד חכם, יקבל דעת.
12 צדיק יבחין בבית רשע,
והרס רשע.
13 מי שסוגר את אוזניו לצעקת עני,
גם יצעק ולא יישמע.
14 מתנה בסתר מרגיעה כעס;
ושוחד בגלימה, חמה חזקה.
15 שמחה לצדיק לעשות משפט;
וחורבן הוא לעושי עוולות.
16 איש התועה מדרך תבונה
ינוח בקהל מתים.
17 אוהב תענוגות יהיה עני:
אוהב יין ושמן לא יעשיר.
18 רשע כופר לצדיק;
בוגד לישרים.
19 טוב לשבת בארץ מדבר,
מאשר אישה ריבנית וסוערת.
20 אוצר יקר ושמן בבית חכם;
ואיש כסיל יבלע אותו.
21 רודף צדק וחסד
מוצא חיים, צדק וכבוד.
22 חכם מטפס על עיר גיבורים,
והוריד את גבורת ביטחונה.
23שומר פיו ולשונו
ישמור מצרות נפשו.
24 גאה וגאה, "לוץ" שמו;
יפעל בגאווה.
25 תאוות עצל תמיתו,
כי ידיו מאנות לעבוד.
26 יש חמדנים כל היום;
והצדיק נותן ולא ימנע.
27 זבח רשעים תועבה היא:
מה עוד כי בלב רע יביא!
28 עד שקר יאבד,
ואיש שומע ידבר לנצח.
29 איש רשע יקשה פניו;
וישרה, הוא יקבע דרכיו.
30 אין חכמה ואין תבונה
ואין עצה נגד ה'.
31 הסוס מוכן ליום מלחמה;
ועם ה' ניצחון.
הברית הישנה: מלכים א' ז':1 - 51
ז':1 ושלמה בנה את ביתו שלוש עשרה שנים וכלה את כל ביתו.
2 וַיַּבֵּן אֶת־בִּית יַעַר־לִבְנוֹן אֹרְכוֹ מֵאָה אֲמָתָה וְרֹחָבוֹ חֲמִשִׁים אֲמָתָה וְגוֹבָתוֹ שְׁלֹשִׁים אֲשֶׁר עַל־הַמָּדִים.
3 וַיִּסְפָּה אֲרָז מִמַּעְלָיָה וְחֲמִשָּׁה אֲשֶׁר עַל־הַמָּדִים, חֲמִשָּׁה בַּשָּׂרָה.
4 וְשָׁלֹשׁ שְׁרוֹת הָיוּ קָרוֹת וְחַלּוּן אֶל־חֲלוֹן שְׁלֹשׁ שְׁרוֹת.
5 וְכָל־הַדַּתָּתִים וְהַמִּשְׁקוֹת רְבָעוּ קָרוֹת וְחַלּוּן אֶל־חֲלוֹן שְׁלֹשׁ שְׁרוֹת.
6 וַיַּעֲשֶׂה אֶת־אוּלָם הַמָּדִים אֹרְכוֹ חֲמִשִׁים אֲרֹכוֹ וְרֹחָבוֹ שְׁלֹשִׁים אֲמָתָה וְאוּלָם לְפָניהם וְסָף לִפְנֵיהֶם. ז ויעש את אולם הכסא אשר ישפט שם, אולם המשפט, והיא מכוסה ארז, מקרקע ועד קרקע.
ח ביתו אשר ישב שם, החצר האחרת, בתוך האולם, הייתה מעשה דומה. וגם בית לבת פרעה אשר לקח שלמה לאישה, כהאולם הזה, עשה.
ט כל אלה מאבנים יקרות, אבן גזית, לפי המידה, מנוסרת במסורים, מבפנים ומבחוץ, מן היסוד ועד הגג, וכן מבחוץ עד החצר הגדולה.
י היסוד היה מאבנים יקרות, אבנים גדולות, אבנים עשר אמות ואבנים שמונה אמות.
יא למעלה אבנים יקרות, אבן גזית, לפי המידה, ועצי ארז.
יב לחצר הגדולה סביב, שלשה משבצות אבן גזית, משבצת קורות ארז אחת; כְּחָצֶר הַבֵּית הַיְהוָה הַפְּנִימִית וְאוּלָם הַבַּיִת.
13 וישלח המלך שלמה ויקח את חירָם מְצוֹר.
14 הוּא בֶּן אֱלָמָנָה מִשְׁבַּט נַפְתָּלִי, וְאָבִיו אִישׁ צֹר חָרֵשׁ נְחָשׁ, וְהוּא מְלָא חָכְמָה וּבְדַעַת לַעֲשׂוֹת כָּל מְלָאכָה בְנְחָשׁ. וַיָּבֹא אֶל הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה וַיַּעֲשׂוֹ כָּל מְלָאכָתוֹ.
15 וַיַּעֲשָׁׂר אֶת שְׁנֵי עַמּוּדִים נְחָשׁת, שְׁמֶשְׁמֶנָה עֶרֶם גָּבָה אֶל־עַמָּה וְחַט שְׁתֵּים עֶרֶם סָבִיב.
16 וַיַּעֲשָׂה שְׁתֵּי כָּתֵר נְחָשׁת מָצֵךְ לַשִּׁים עַל־רֹאשִׁי הַעַמּוּדִים חֲמַק וּגְבֹת הַכָּתֵר הָאֶחָד חֲמַק אֲמָתִים וְחֻמָּה שְׁלָשִׁים לַכָּתֵרִים אֲשֶׁר עַל־רֹאשִׁי הַעַמּוּדִים.
17 וַיִּתְעֲשָׂה שְׁבוּרִים וְעֲשָׂה שְׁלָשִׁים לַכָּתֵרִים אֲשֶׁר עַל־רֹאשׁ הַעַמּוּדִים. שבעה לכותרת האחת ושבעה לכותרת השנייה.
18 ויעש את העמודים; ושתי שורות סביב על הרשת האחת, לכסות את הכותרות אשר על ראש העמודים; וכן עשה לכותרת השנייה.
19 הכותרות אשר על ראש העמודים באולם מעשה שושן, ארבע אמות.
20 וגם כותרות היו למעלה על שני העמודים, על הגחון אשר על יד הרשת; והמאתים רימונים, שורות סביב על הכותרת השנייה.
21 הקים את העמודים באולם ההיכל; ויקם את העמוד הימני, ויקרא שמו יכין; ויקם את העמוד השמאלי, ויקרא שמו בועז.
22 על ראש העמודים מעשה שושן; כך נגמרת מעשה העמודים.
23 ויעש את ים המוצק עשר אמות משפתו אל שפתו עגול, וגובהו חמש אמות, וחוט שלושים אמות מקיף אותו סביב.
24 מתחת לשפתו סביב היו ניצנים, אשר מקיפים אותו עשר אמות, מקיפים את הים סביב; הניצנים היו שתי שורות יצוקות ביציקתו.
25 על שנים עשר בקר עמד, שלושה פניהם צפון, ושלושה פניהם מערב, ושלושה פניהם דרום, ושלושה פניהם מזרח; והים היה עליהם מלמעלה, וכל אחוריהם פנימה.
26 עוביו טפח היה, ושפתו מעשה כשפת גביע, כפרח שושן, אלפים בתים היה קיים.
27 ויעש את עשרת מכונות נחושת; ארבע אמות ארך מכון אחד, וארבע אמות רחבו, ושלוש אמות גובהו.
28 כך הייתה מעשה המכונות: לוחות להם, ובין האדנים לוחות היו;
29 ועל הלוחות אשר בין האדנים היו אריות, בקר וכרבים; ועל האדנים היה כן למעלה; ומתחת לאריות ולבקר היו זרי מעשה תלייה.
30 ארבעה גלגלי נחושת היו לכל מכון, וצרי נחושת; ולארבע רגליו היו תומכים; מתחת לאגן היו התומכים מותכים, וזרי צד לכל אחד.
31 פיו בתוך הכותרת ומעל אמה; ופיו עגול כמעשה כן אמה וחצי; וגם על פיו חרטים, ולוחיהם ארבעה, לא עגולים.
32 ארבעת הגלגלים היו מתחת ללוחות; וצרי הגלגלים היו בכונה; וגובה הגלגל אמה וחצי אמה.
33 מעשה הגלגלים כמעשה גלגל מרכבה: סרניהם, חישוקיהם, חישוריהם וסרגליהם, כולם מותכים.
34 ארבעה תומכים היו על ארבע פינות כל מכון; תומכיו היו מן המכון עצמו.
35 בראש המכון היה חישוק עגול חצי אמה גובה; ועל ראש המכון היו תומכיו ולוחותיו ממנו.
36 על לוחות תומכיו ועל לוחותיו חרט כרובים, אריות ותמרים, לפי מקום כל אחד, וזרים סביב.
37 כך עשה את עשרת המכונות: יציקה אחת, מידה אחת וצורה אחת הייתה לכולם.
38 עשר אגני נחשת עשה: אגן אחד הכיל ארבעים בתים; ואגן אחד ארבע אמות; ועל אחד מעשרת המכונות.
לט וַיַּעֲמֹד אֶת הַמְּכֹנוֹת, חֲמִשָּׁה עַל יְמִין הַבַּיִת, וְחֲמִשָּׁה עַל יְמִין הַבַּיִת; וַיַּעֲמֹד אֶת הַיָּם עַל יְמִין הַבַּיִת קֹדֶם נָגָרִים.
מִוַּי עָשָׂה חִירָם אֶת הַכְּלָכָה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לְמֶלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה בְּבֵית יְהוָה.
מֵא אֶת שְׁנֵי הַמְּעֲמוֹדִים וְשְׁתֵי קֹרֶת הַכָּתָרִים אֲשֶׁר עַל רֹאשׁ הַמְּכֹנוֹת אֲשֶׁר עַל רֹאשׁ הַמְּכֹנוֹת.
מִג אֶת עֲשָׂר הַמְּכֹנוֹת וְעֲשָׂר הַמִּכְנוֹת.
מִד אֶת הַיָּם הַאֲחָד וְשְׁנֵי עֲלָתִים עֲלֵי הַמָּלֶךְ, אֲשֶׁר עֲלָתִים עַל רֹאשׁ הַמְּכֹנוֹת. 45 ואת הסירים, ואת היעים ואת המזרקות, ואת כל הכלים האלה אשר עשה חירם למלך שלמה בבית ה', היו מנחושת מלוטשת.
46 בעמק הירדן יצק אותם המלך, באדמת חרס, בין סוכות ובין צרתן.
47 את כל הכלים הניח שלמה [לא שקולים], כי רבים היו, משקל הנחושת לא ניתן היה לברר.
48 ואת כל הכלים אשר בבית ה' עשה שלמה: את מזבח הזהב ואת השולחן אשר עליו לחם הפנים, זהב;
49 ואת המנורות, חמש מימין וחמש משמאל, לפני הדביר, זהב טהור; ואת הפרחים, ואת הנרות והמלקחיים, זהב;
50 ואת הגביעים, ואת המזמרות, ואת המזרקות, ואת הכפות ואת המחבתות, זהב טהור; ואת הצירים, וגם לדלתות הבית הפנימי, קודש הקדשים, וגם לדלתות הבית, [הכוונה], של ההיכל, זהב.
51 וַיָּשָׁלָה כָּל הַמְּלָאכָה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה בְּבֵית יְהוָה. וַיָּבִיא שְׁלֹמֹה אֶת הַקְּדִישָׁה דָּוִד אָבִיו, אֶת הַכֶּסֶף, אֶת הַזָּהָב, וַיַּשְׁמֹשׁ בְּגוֹצְרֵי בֵית יְהוָה.
הברית החדשה: מעשי השליחים ז':30 - 50
ז':30 "וַיַּעֲבַר מְלֹא אֵלָיו מַלְאָךְ יְהוָה בְּמִדְבַּר הַר סִינִי, בְּלַבָּת אֵשׁ בְּסַנָה.
31 וירא משה וַיְתַמָּה אֶל־הַמָּרָה. וַיִּגַּר לִרְאֹת וַיְהִי קוֹל יְהוָה אֵלָיו לֹאמֹר:
32 'אֲנִי אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֹתֶיךָ, אֱלֹהֵי אַבְרָהָם, אֱלֹהֵי יִצְחָק וְאֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב'. משה רעד ולא העז להביט.
33 ויאמר אליו יְהוָה: 'הָסִיר נֶלְדֶיךָ מֵעַל־רַגְלֶיךָ, כִּי הַמָּקוֹם אַתָּה עֲמֹד שָׁם אֶרֶץ קֹדֶשׁ הוּא.
34 ראיתי ראיתי את צרות עמי אשר במצרים, ושמעתי את גניחותיהם. ירדתי להצילם. עתה בוא אשלחך מצרים.
35 "הַמָּשֶׁה הַזֶּה, אֲשֶׁר מִסְפָּרוּ לֹאמֹר: 'מִי שָׁמְנֶךָ לְשָׁלֵחַ וְשׁוֹפֵט?'" -- אלוהים שלחוהו גם לשליט וגם למושיע ביד המלאך הנראה אליו בסנה.
36 האיש הזה הוביל אותם, ועשה מופתים ואותות במצרים, בים סוף, ובמדבר ארבעים שנה.
37 זה הוא משה אשר אמר לבני ישראל: 'יהוה אלוהים יקים לכם נביא מקרב אחיכם כמוני'.
38 זה הוא אשר היה בקהל במדבר עם המלאך אשר דבר אליו בהר סיני, ועם אבותינו, אשר קיבלו דברים חיים לתת לנו,
39 אשר לא רצו אבותינו לשמוע לו, כי מאסו אותו, וישבו בלבם אל מצרים.
40 לאמור לאהרן: 'עשה לנו אלהים אשר ילכו לפנינו, כי משה זה אשר הוציאנו מארץ מצרים, לא ידענו מה היה לו'.
41 וַיַּעֲשֶׂה עֶגֶל בַּיָּמִים הַהֵּה, וַיַּקְרִיבוּ לַפְּלִיל, וַיַּשְׂמְחוּ בַּמַּעֲשֶׂה יָדיהם.
42 וַיְשָׁב אֱלֹהִים וַיַּנְתָּם לִשְׁפַּחַת אֶת צְבָא הַשָּׁמַיִם, כְּכָבוֹת בַּמִּדְבָּר, בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל?
43 נָשָׂאתָ אֶת-אָהֲלַךְ, אֶת-כוכב אֱלֹהֵיכֶם רֵיפן, אֶת-הַפְּלָמִים אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתֶם לְשַׁתּוֹחַ אֲשֶׁר אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתֶם לְשַׁתּוֹחַ אֶת-עֲבַר בָּל.
44 "לאבותינו היה אוהל העדות במדבר, כאשר ציווה זה אשר דבר אל משה לעשותו כדוגמה אשר ראה;
45 אשר גם אבותינו הביאו את יהושע כאשר באו אל אחוזת הגויים אשר גרש אלוהים מפני אבותינו עד ימי דוד,
46 אשר מצאו חן בעיני אלוהים ובקשו למצוא מעון לאלוהי יעקב.
47 ושלמה בנה לו בית.
48 אך אין עליון יושב במקדשים מעשה ידיים, כאשר נאמר הנביא:
49 השמים כסאי והארץ הדום רגלי. איזה בית תבנו לי? אמר ה', או מה מקום מנוחתי?
50 הלוא ידי עשתה את כל אלה?
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
