THEinc-HIM Daily Bible Meditation - June 14 - Full Text! - Celebrating Happy Birthday United States of America Army! Celebrate Flag Day - United States of America!

Genesis 1:1 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

JUNE 14

PSALMS:  14, 44, 74, 104, 144

PROVERBS:  14

OLD TESTAMENT:  ECCLESIASTES 4:1 – 6:12

NEW TESTAMENT:  2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 – 7:7

PSALMS:  14

1 The fool has said in his heart,
"There is no God.
" They are corrupt, they have done abominable works.
There is none who does good.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men,
To see if there were any who did understand,
Who did seek after God.
3 They have all gone aside;
they have together become corrupt.
There is none who does good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And don't call on the LORD?
5 There were they in great fear,
For God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 You put to shame the counsel of the poor,
Because the LORD is his refuge.
7 Oh that the yeshu`ah of Yisra'el would come out of Tziyon!
When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people,
Then Ya`akov shall rejoice, and Yisra'el shall be glad.

PSALMS:  44

1 We have heard with our ears,
God; Our fathers have told us,
What work you did in their days,
In the days of old.
2 You drove out the nations with your hand,
But you planted them.
You afflicted the peoples,
But you spread them abroad.
3 For they didn't get the land in possession by their own sword,
Neither did their own arm save them;
But your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your face,
Because you were favorable to them.
4 You are my King, God.
Command victories for Ya`akov!
5 Through you, will we push down our adversaries.
Through your name, will we tread them under who rise up against us.
6 For I will not trust in my bow,
Neither shall my sword save me.
7 But you have saved us from our adversaries,
And have put them to shame who hate us.
8 In God have we made our boast all day long,
We will give thanks to your name forever. Selah.
9 But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor,
And don't go out with our armies.
10 You make us turn back from the adversary.
Those who hate us take spoil for themselves.
11 You have made us like sheep for food,
And have scattered us among the nations.
12You sell your people for nothing,
And have gained nothing from their sale.
13 You make us a reproach to our neighbors,
A scoffing and a derision to those who are round about us.
14 You make us a byword among the nations,
A shaking of the head among the peoples.
15 All day long is my dishonor before me,
And shame covers my face,
16 At the taunt of one who reproaches and reviles,
Because of the enemy and the avenger.
17 All this has come on us,
Yet have we not forgotten you,
Neither have we been false to your covenant.
18 Our heart has not turned back,
Neither have our steps declined from your way,
19 That you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals,
And covered us with the shadow of death.
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God,
Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;
21 Won't God search this out?
For he knows the secrets of the heart.
22 Yes, for your sake are we killed all day long.
We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.
23 Wake up!
Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise!
Don't reject us forever.
24 Why do you hide your face,
And forget our affliction and our oppression?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust.
Our body cleaves to the eretz.
26 Rise up to help us.
Redeem us for your loving kindness' sake.

PSALMS:  74

1 God, why have you rejected us forever?
Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
2 Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old,
Which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance;
Mount Tziyon, in which you have lived.
3 Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins,
All the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
4 Your adversaries have roared in the midst of your assembly.
They have set up their standards as signs.
5 They behaved like men wielding axes,
Cutting through a thicket of trees.
6 Now all its carved work
They break down with hatchet and hammers.
7 They have burned your sanctuary to the ground.
They have profaned the dwelling-place of your Name.
8 They said in their heart,
"We will crush them completely.
" They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.
9 We see no miraculous signs.
There is no longer any prophet,
Neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.
10 How long, God, shall the adversary reproach?
Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?
11 Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand?
Take it out of your pocket and consume them!
12 Yet God is my King of old,
Working salvation in the midst of the eretz.
13 You divided the sea by your strength.
You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.
14 You broke the heads of Livyatan in pieces.
You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.
15 You opened up spring and stream.
You dried up mighty rivers.
16 The day is yours, the night is also yours.
You have prepared the light and the sun.
17 You have set all the boundaries of the eretz.
You have made summer and winter.
18 Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, LORD.
Foolish people have blasphemed your name.
19 Don't deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts.
Don't forget the life of your poor forever.
20 Honor your covenant,
For haunts of violence fill the dark places of the eretz.
21 Don't let the oppressed return ashamed.
Let the poor and needy praise your name.
22 Arise, God! Plead your own cause.
Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day.
23 Don't forget the voice of your adversaries.
The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.

PSALMS:  104

1 Bless the LORD, my soul.
The LORD, my God, you are very great.
You are clothed with honor and majesty.
2 He covers himself with light as with a garment.
He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
3 He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters.
He makes the clouds his chariot.
He walks on the wings of the wind.
4He makes his messengers winds;
His servants flames of fire.
5 He laid the foundations of the eretz,
That it should not be moved forever.
6 You covered it with the deep as with a cloak.
The waters stood above the mountains.
7 At your rebuke they fled.
At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
8 The mountains rose,
The valleys sank down,
To the place which you had assigned to them.
9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over;
That they don't turn again to cover the eretz.
10 He sends forth springs into the valleys.
They run among the mountains.
11 They give drink to every animal of the field.
The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12 The birds of the sky nest by them.
They sing among the branches.
13 He waters the mountains from his chambers.
The eretz is filled with the fruit of your works.
14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,
And plants for man to cultivate,
That he may bring forth food out of the eretz:
15Wine that makes glad the heart of man,
Oil to make his face to shine,
And bread that strengthens man's heart.
16 The LORD's trees are well watered,
The cedars of Levanon, which he has planted;
17 Where the birds make their nests.
The stork makes its home in the fir trees.
18 The high mountains are for the wild goats.
The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19 He appointed the moon for seasons.
The sun knows when to set.
20 You make darkness, and it is night,
In which all the animals of the forest prowl.
21 The young lions roar after their prey,
And seek their food from God.
22 The sun rises, and they steal away,
And lay down in their dens.
23 Man goes forth to his work,
To his labor until the evening.
24 The LORD, how many are your works!
In wisdom have you made them all.
The eretz is full of your riches.
25 There is the sea, great and wide,
In which are innumerable living things,
Both small and great animals.
26 There the ships go,
And livyatan, whom you formed to play there.
27 These all wait for you,
That you may give them their food in due season.
28 You give to them; they gather.
You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
29 You hide your face: they are troubled;
You take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.
30 You send forth your Spirit: they are created.
You renew the face of the ground.
31 Let the glory of the LORD endure forever.
Let the LORD rejoice in his works.
32 He looks at the eretz, and it trembles.
He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live.
I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
34 Let your meditation be sweet to him.
I will rejoice in the LORD.
35 Let sinners be consumed out of the eretz.
Let the wicked be no more.
Bless the LORD, my soul.
Praise the LORD!

PSALMS:  134

1 Look! Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD,
Who stand by night in the LORD's house!
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary.
Praise the LORD!
3 May the LORD bless you from Tziyon;
Even he who made heaven and eretz.

PROVERBS:  14

1 Every wise woman builds her house,
But the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.
2 He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD,
But he who is perverse in his ways despises him.
3 The fool's talk brings a rod to his back,
But the lips of the wise protect them.
4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean,
But much increase is by the strength of the ox.
5 A truthful witness will not lie,
But a false witness pours out lies.
6 A scoffer seeks wisdom, and doesn't find it,
But knowledge comes easily to a discerning person.
7 Stay away from a foolish man,
For you won't find knowledge on his lips.
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to think about his way,
But the folly of fools is deceit.
9 Fools mock at making atonement for sins,
But among the upright there is good will.
10 The heart knows its own bitterness and joy;
He will not share these with a stranger.
11 The house of the wicked will be overthrown,
But the tent of the upright will flourish.
12There is a way which seems right to a man,
But in the end it leads to death.
13 Even in laughter the heart may be sorrowful,
And mirth may end in heaviness.
14 The unfaithful will be repaid for his own ways;
Likewise a good man will be rewarded for his ways.
15 The simple believes everything,
But the prudent man carefully considers his ways.
16 A wise man fears, and shuns evil,
But the fool is hotheaded and reckless.
17 He who is quick to become angry will commit folly,
And a crafty man is hated.
18 The simple inherit folly,
But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19 The evil bow down before the good,
And the wicked, at the gates of the righteous.
20 The poor person is shunned even by his own neighbor,
But the rich person has many friends.
21 He who despises his neighbor sins,
But blessed is he who has pity on the poor.
22 Don't they go astray who plot evil?
But love and faithfulness belong to those who plan good.
23 In all hard work there is profit,
But the talk of the lips leads only to poverty.
24 The crown of the wise is their riches,
But the folly of fools crowns them with folly.
25 A truthful witness saves souls,
But a false witness is deceitful.
26 In the fear of the LORD is a secure fortress,
And he will be a refuge for his children.
27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life,
Turning people from the snares of death.
28 In the multitude of people is the king's glory,
But in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.
29 He who is slow to anger has great understanding,
But he who has a quick temper displays folly.
30 The life of the body is a heart at shalom,
But envy rots the bones.
31 He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker,
But he who is kind to the needy honors him.
32 The wicked is brought down in his calamity,
But in death, the righteous has a refuge.
33 Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding,
And is even made known in the inward part of fools.
34 Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a disgrace to any people.
35 The king's favor is toward a servant who deals wisely,
But his wrath is toward one who causes shame.

OLD TESTAMENT:  ECCLESIASTES 4:1 – 6:16

4:1 Then I returned and saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and, behold, the tears of those who were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter. 2 Therefore I praised the dead who have been long dead more than the living who are yet alive. 3 Yes, better than them both is him who has not yet been, who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun. 4 Then I saw all the labor and achievement that is the envy of a man's neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind. 5 The fool folds his hands together and ruins himself. 6 Better is a handful, with quietness, than two handfuls with labor and chasing after wind. 7 Then I returned and saw vanity under the sun. 8 There is one who is alone, and he has neither son nor brother. There is no end to all of his labor, neither are his eyes satisfied with wealth. For whom then, do I labor, and deprive my soul of enjoyment? This also is vanity, yes, it is a miserable business. 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one keep warm alone? 12 If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. 13 Better is a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who doesn't know how to receive admonition any more. 14 For out of prison he came forth to be king; yes, even in his kingdom he was born poor. 15 I saw all the living who walk under the sun, that they were with the youth, the other, who succeeded him. 16 There was no end of all the people, even of all them over whom he was -- yet those who come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and a chasing after wind.

5:1 Guard your steps when you go to God's house; for to draw near to listen is better than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they don't know that they do evil. 2 Don't be rash with your mouth, and don't let your heart be hasty to utter anything before God; for God is in heaven, and you on eretz. Therefore let your words be few. 3 For as a dream comes with a multitude of cares, so a fool's speech with a multitude of words. 4 When you vow a vow to God, don't defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow. 5 It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay. 6 Don't allow your mouth to lead you into sin. Don't protest before the messenger that this was a mistake. Why should God be angry at your voice, and destroy the work of your hands? 7 For in the multitude of dreams there are vanities, as well as in many words: but you must fear God. 8 If you see the oppression of the poor, and the violent taking away of justice and righteousness in a district, don't marvel at the matter: for one official is eyed by a higher one; and there are officials over them. 9 Moreover the profit of the eretz is for all. The king profits from the field. 10 He who loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he who loves abundance, with increase: this also is vanity. 11 When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes? 12 The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eats little or much; but the abundance of the rich will not allow him to sleep. 13 There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun: wealth kept by its owner to his harm. 14 Those riches perish by misfortune, and if he has fathered a son, there is nothing in his hand.15 As he came forth from his mother's womb, naked shall he go again as he came, and shall take nothing for his labor, which he may carry away in his hand. 16 This also is a grievous evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go. And what profit does he have who labors for the wind? 17 All his days he also eats in darkness, he is frustrated, and has sickness and wrath. 18 Behold, that which I have seen to be good and proper is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor, in which he labors under the sun, all the days of his life which God has given him; for this is his portion. 19 Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat of it, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor -- this is the gift of God. 20 For he shall not often reflect on the days of his life; because God occupies him with the joy of his heart.

6:1 There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is heavy on men: 2 a man to whom God gives riches, wealth, and honor, so that he lacks nothing for his soul of all that he desires, yet God gives him no power to eat of it, but an alien eats it. This is vanity, and it is an evil disease. 3 If a man fathers a hundred children, and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, but his soul is not filled with good, and moreover he has no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he: 4 for it comes in vanity, and departs in darkness, and its name is covered with darkness. 5 Moreover it has not seen the sun nor known it. This has rest rather than the other. 6 Yes, though he live a thousand years twice told, and yet fails to enjoy good, don't all go to one place? 7 All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled. 8 For what advantage has the wise more than the fool? What has the poor man, that knows how to walk before the living? 9 Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind. 10 Whatever has been, its name was given long ago; and it is known what man is; neither can he contend with him who is mightier than he. 11 For there are many words that create vanity. What does that profit man? 12 For who knows what is good for man in life, all the days of his vain life which he spends like a shadow? For who can tell a man what will be after him under the sun?

NEW TESTAMENT:  2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 – 7:7

6:14 Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? 15 What agreement has Messiah with Beliya`al? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people." 17  Therefore, "'Come out from among them, And be separate,' says the Lord, 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you. 18 I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,' says the Lord Almighty."

7:1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Open your hearts to us. We wronged no one. We corrupted no one. We took advantage of no one. 3 I say this not to condemn you, for I have said before, that you are in our hearts to die together and live together. 4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you. Great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I overflow with joy in all our affliction. 5 For even when we had come into Macedonia, our flesh had no relief, but we were afflicted on every side. Fightings were outside. Fear was inside. 6 Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus; 7 and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, while he told us your longing, your mourning, and your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced still more.
8 For though I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it, though I did regret it. For I see that my letter made you sorry, though just for a while. 9 I now rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you were made sorry to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly way, that you might suffer loss by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world works death. 11 For behold, this same thing, that you were made sorry in a godly way, what earnest care it worked in you. Yes, what defense, indignation, fear, longing, zeal, and vengeance! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be pure in the matter. 12 So although I wrote to you, I wrote not for his cause that did the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered the wrong, but that your earnest care for us might be revealed in you in the sight of God. 13 Therefore we have been comforted. In our comfort we rejoiced the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all. 14 For if in anything I have boasted to him on your behalf, I was not put to shame. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, so our glorying also which I made before Titus was found to be truth. 15 His affection is more abundantly toward you, while he remembers all of your obedience, how with fear and trembling you received him. 16 I rejoice that in everything I am of good courage concerning you.

3 כולם סטו;

וגם זרועם לא הושיעה אותם;

ואוֹ פְּרַשְׁטַח יָדֵינוּ אֶל־אֵל נָכָר;

9 קבעת גבול אשר לא יעברו;
ארזי לבנון אשר נטע;

29 אתה מסתיר פניך: הם נבהלו;

10 לב יודע מרירות ושמחה;
14 בוגד יקבל גמול על דרכיו;

John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." THEinc-HIM Daily Bible Meditation - June 7 - Full Text!

Genesis 1:1 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

JUNE 7

PSALMS:   7, 37, 67, 97, 127

PROVERBS:  7

OLD TESTAMENT:  JOB 23:1 - 27:23

NEW TESTAMENT:  2 CORINTHIANS 1:12 - 2:11

PSALMS:  7

1 LORD, my God, I take refuge in you.
Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
2 Lest they tear apart my soul like a lion,
Rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
3 LORD, my God, if I have done this,
If there is iniquity in my hands,
4 If I have rewarded evil to him who was at shalom with me
(Yes, I have delivered him who without cause was my adversary),
5 Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it;
Yes, let him tread my life down to the eretz,
And lay my glory in the dust. Selah.
6 Arise, LORD, in your anger.
Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries.
Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.
7 Let the congregation of the peoples surround you.
Rule over them on high.
8 The LORD administers judgment to the peoples.
Judge me, LORD, according to my righteousness,
And to my integrity that is in me.
9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,
But establish the righteous;
Their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.
10 My shield is with God,
Who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous judge,
Yes, a God who has indignation every day.
12 If a man doesn't relent, he will sharpen his sword;
He has bent and strung his bow.
13 He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death.
He makes ready his flaming arrows.
14 Behold, he travails with iniquity;
Yes, he has conceived mischief and brought forth falsehood.
15 He has dug a hole,
And has fallen into the pit which he made.
16 The trouble he causes shall return to his own head.
His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.
17 I will give thanks to the LORD according to his righteousness,
And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Elyon.

PSALMS:  37

1 Don't fret because of evil-doers,
Neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither like the green herb.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good.
Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Also delight yourself in the LORD,
And he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteousness go forth as the light,
And your justice as the noon day sun.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him.
Don't fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath.
Don't fret, it leads only to evildoing.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off,
But those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more.
Yes, though you look for his place, he isn't there.
11 But the humble shall inherit the land,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of shalom.
12 The wicked plots against the just,
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord will laugh at him,
For he sees that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword,
and have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy,
To kill those who are upright in the way.
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart.
Their bows shall be broken.
16 Better is a little that the righteous has,
Than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the LORD upholds the righteous.
18 The LORD knows the days of the perfect.
Their inheritance shall be forever.
19 They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil.
In the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish.
The enemies of the LORD shall be like the beauty of the fields.
They will vanish -- Vanish like smoke.
21 The wicked borrow, and don't pay back,
But the righteous give generously.
22 For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land.
Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.
23 A man's goings are established by the LORD.
He delights in his way.
24 Though he stumble, he shall not fall,
For the LORD holds him up with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old,
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his children begging for bread.
26 All day long he deals graciously, and lends.
His seed is blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good;
Live securely forever.
28 For the LORD loves justice,
And doesn't forsake his holy ones.
They are preserved forever,
But the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land,
And live in it forever.
30 The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom.
His tongue speaks justice.
31 The law of his God is in his heart.
None of his steps shall slide.
32 The wicked watches the righteous,
And seeks to kill him.
33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand,
Nor condemn him when he is judged.
34 Wait for the LORD, and keep his way,
And he will exalt you to inherit the land.
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
35 I have seen the wicked in great power,
Spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.
36 But he passed away, and, behold, he was not.
Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect man, and see the upright,
For there is a future for the man of shalom.
38 As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together.
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD.
He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
40 The LORD helps them, and rescues them.
He rescues them from the wicked, and saves them,
Because they have taken refuge in him.

PSALMS:  67

1 May God be merciful to us, bless us,
And cause his face to shine on us. Selah.
2 That your way may be known on eretz,
And your yeshu`ah among all nations,
3 Let the peoples praise you, God.
Let all the peoples praise you.
4 Oh let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
For you will judge the peoples with equity,
And govern the nations on eretz.
Selah.
5 Let the peoples praise you, God.
Let all the peoples praise you.
6 The eretz has yielded its increase.
God, even our own God, will bless us.
7 God will bless us.
All the ends of the eretz shall fear him.

PSALMS:  97

1 The LORD reigns!
Let the eretz rejoice.
Let the multitude of islands be glad.
2 Clouds and darkness are around him.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 A fire goes before him,
And burns up his adversaries on every side.
4 His lightning lights up the world;
The eretz sees, and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD,
At the presence of the Lord of the whole eretz.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness.
All the peoples have seen his glory.
7 Let all them be put to shame who serve engraved images,
Who boast in their idols.
Worship him, all you gods!
8 Tziyon heard and was glad.
The daughters of Yehudah rejoiced,
Because of your judgments, LORD.
9 For you, LORD, are most high above all the eretz.
You are exalted far above all gods.
10 You who love the LORD, hate evil.
He preserves the souls of his holy ones.
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous,
And gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Be glad in the LORD, you righteous people!
Give thanks to his holy Name.

PSALMS:  127

1 Unless the LORD builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
The watchman guards it in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To stay up late, Eating the bread of toil;
For he gives sleep to his loved ones.
3 Behold, children are a heritage of the LORD.
The fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man,
So are the children of youth.
5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them.
They won't be put to shame when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

PROVERBS:  7

1 My son, keep my words.
Lay up my mitzvot within you.
2 Keep my mitzvot and live;
Guard my teaching as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers.
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Tell wisdom, "You are my sister."
Call understanding your relative,
5 That they may keep you from the strange woman,
From the foreigner who flatters with her words.
6 For at the window of my house,
I looked forth through my lattice.
7 I saw among the simple ones.
I discerned among the youths a young man void of understanding,
8Passing through the street near her corner,
He went the way to her house,
9 In the twilight, in the evening of the day,
In the middle of the night and in the darkness.
10 Behold, there a woman met him with the attire of a prostitute,
And with crafty intent.
11 She is loud and defiant.
Her feet don't stay in her house.
12 Now she is in the streets, now in the squares,
And lurking at every corner.
13 So she caught him, and kissed him.
With an impudent face she said to him:
14 "Sacrifices of peace-offerings are with me.
This day I have paid my vows.
15 Therefore I came out to meet you,
To diligently seek your face, And I have found you.
16 I have spread my couch with carpets of tapestry,
With striped cloths of the yarn of Mitzrayim.
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh,
aloes, and cinnamon.
18 Come, let's take our fill of loving until the morning.
Let's solace ourselves with loving.
19 For my husband isn't at home.
He has gone on a long journey.
20 He has taken a bag of money with him.
He will come home at the full moon."
21 With persuasive words, she led him astray.
With the flattering of her lips, she seduced him.
22 He followed her immediately,
As an ox goes to the slaughter,
As a fool stepping into a noose.
23 Until an arrow strikes through his liver,
As a bird hurries to the snare,
And doesn't know that it will cost his life.
24 Now therefore, sons, listen to me.
Pay attention to the words of my mouth.
25 Don't let your heart turn to her ways.
Don't go astray in her paths,
26 For she has thrown down many wounded.
Yes, all her slain are a mighty host.
27 Her house is the way to She'ol,
Going down to the chambers of death.

OLD TESTAMENT:  JOB 23:1 - 27:23

23:1 Then Iyov answered, 2 "Even today is my complaint rebellious. His hand is heavy in spite of my groaning. 3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! That I might come even to his seat! 4 I would set my cause in order before him, And fill my mouth with arguments 5 I would know the words which he would answer me, And understand what he would tell me. 6 Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No, but he would listen to me. 7 There the upright might reason with him, So I should be delivered forever from my judge. 8 "If I go east, he is not there; If west, I can't find him; 9 He works to the north, but I can't see him; He turns south, but I can't catch a glimpse of him. 10 But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I shall come forth like gold. 11 My foot has held fast to his steps. His way have I kept, and not turned aside. 12 I haven't gone back from the mitzvah of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. 13 But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? What his soul desires, even that he does. 14 For he performs that which is appointed for me. Many such things are with him 15 Therefore I am terrified at his presence. When I consider, I am afraid of him. 16 For God has made my heart faint. The Almighty has terrified me.17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, Neither did he cover the thick darkness from my face.

24:1 "Why aren't times laid up by Shaddai? Why don't those who know him see his days? 2 There are people who remove the landmarks. They violently take away flocks, and feed them. 3 They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, And they take the widow's ox for a pledge. 4 They turn the needy out of the way. The poor of the eretz all hide themselves. 5 Behold, as wild donkeys in the desert, They go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food; The wilderness yields them bread for their children. 6 They cut their provender in the field. They glean the vineyard of the wicked. 7 They lie all night naked without clothing, And have no covering in the cold. 8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, And embrace the rock for lack of a shelter. 9 There are those who pluck the fatherless from the breast, And take a pledge of the poor, 10 So that they go around naked without clothing. Being hungry, they carry the sheaves. 11 They make oil within the walls of these men. They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst. 12 From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, Yet God doesn't regard the folly. 13 "These are of those who rebel against the light; They don't know the ways of it, Nor abide in the paths of it. 14 The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief. 15 The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, Saying, 'No eye shall see me.' He disguises his face. 16 In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They don't know the light. 17 For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, For they know the terrors of the thick darkness. 18 "They are foam on the surface of the waters. Their portion is cursed in the eretz: They don't turn into the way of the vineyards. 19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters; So does She'ol those who have sinned. 20 The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree. 21 He devours the barren who don't bear. He shows no kindness to the widow. 22 Yet God preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life. 23 God gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways. 24 They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, And are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain. 25 If it isn't so now, who will prove me a liar, And make my speech worth nothing?"

25:1 Then Bildad the Shuchite answered, 2 "Dominion and fear are with him; He makes shalom in his high places. 3 Can his armies be counted? On whom does his light not arise? 4 How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean? 5 Behold, even the moon has no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his sight; 6 How much less man, who is a worm! The son of man, who is a worm!"

26:1 Then Iyov answered, 2 "How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength! 3 How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, And plentifully declared sound knowledge! 4 To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came forth from you? 5 "Those who are deceased tremble, Those beneath the waters and all that live in them. 6 She'ol is naked before God, And Avaddon has no covering. 7 He stretches out the north over empty space, And hangs the eretz on nothing. 8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, And the cloud is not burst under them. 9 He encloses the face of his throne, And spreads his cloud on it. 10 He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, And to the confines of light and darkness. 11 The pillars of heaven tremble And are astonished at his rebuke. 12 He stirs up the sea with his power, And by his understanding he strikes through Rachav. 13 By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent. 14 Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?"

27:1 Iyov again took up his parable, and said, 2 "As God lives, who has taken away my right, The Almighty, who has made my soul bitter. 3 (For the length of my life is still in me, And the spirit of God is in my nostrils); 4 Surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, Neither shall my tongue utter deceit. 5 Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me. 6 I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live. 7 "Let my enemy be as the wicked, Let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous. 8 For what is the hope of the godless, when he is cut off, When God takes away his life? 9 Will God hear his cry, When trouble comes on him? 10 Will he delight himself in Shaddai, And call on God at all times? 11 I will teach you about the hand of God. That which is with Shaddai will I not conceal. 12 Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; Why then have you become altogether vain? 13 "This is the portion of a wicked man with God, The heritage of oppressors, which they receive from Shaddai. 14 If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring shall not be satisfied with bread. 15 Those who remain of him shall be buried in death. His widows shall make no lamentation. 16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, And prepare clothing as the clay; 17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, And the innocent shall divide the silver. 18 He builds his house as the moth, As a booth which the watchman makes. 19 He lies down rich, but he shall not do so again. He opens his eyes, and he is not. 20 Terrors overtake him like waters; A tempest steals him away in the night. 21 The east wind carries him away, and he departs; It sweeps him out of his place. 22 For it hurls at him, and does not spare, As he flees away from his hand. 23 Men shall clap their hands at him, And shall hiss him out of his place.

NEW TESTAMENT:  2 CORINTHIANS 1:12 - 2:11

1:12 For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you. 13 For we write no other things to you, than what you read or even acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end; 14 as also you acknowledged us in part, that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Yeshua. 15 In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit; 16 and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be sent forward by you on my journey to Yehudah. 17 When I therefore was thus determined, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the "Yes, yes" and the "No, no?" 18 But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not "Yes and no." 19 For the Son of God, Yeshua the Messiah, who was preached among you by us, by me, Sila, and Timothy, was not "Yes and no," but in him is "Yes." 20 For however many are the promises of God, in him is the "Yes." Therefore also through him is the "Amein," to the glory of God through us. 21 Now he who establishes us with you in Messiah, and anointed us, is God; 22 who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.23 But I call God for a witness to my soul, that I didn't come to Corinth to spare you. 24 Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith.

2:1 But I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow. 2 For if I make you sorry, then who will make me glad but he who is made sorry by me? 3 And I wrote this very thing to you, so that, when I came, I wouldn't have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is of you all. 4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be made sorry, but that you might know the love that I have so abundantly for you. 5 But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow, not to me, but in part (that I not press too heavily) to you all. 6 Sufficient to such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the many; 7 so that on the contrary you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow. 8 Therefore I beg you to confirm your love toward him. 9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things. 10 Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Messiah, 11 that no advantage may be gained over us by Hasatan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

5 ירדוף אויב נפשי, וישיג אותה;
והכינו צדיקים;
12 איש לא ירפה, יחדד חרבו;
14 הנה, הוא יָלֵל עָוֶל;

4 ברקיו מאירים תבל;

לִשְׁתַּעֲרוֹת מֵאֹחַ, לֹא אֲכֹל לַחֶם עָמָל;

21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
