1 The
heavens declare the glory of God.
The
expanse shows his handiwork.
2 Day
after day they pour forth speech,
And
night after night they display knowledge.
3 There
is no speech nor language,
Where
their voice is not heard.
4 Their
voice has gone out through all the eretz,
Their
words to the end of the world.
In
them he has set a tent for the sun,
5 Which
is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
Like
a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
6 His
going forth is from the end of the heavens,
His
circuit to the ends of it;
There
is nothing hid from the heat of it.
7 The
law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul.
The
testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The
precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart.
The
mitzvah of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9
The
fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever.
The
ordinances of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether.
10 More
to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter
also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover
by them is your servant warned.
In
keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who
can discern his errors?
Forgive
me from hidden errors.
13 Keep
back your servant also from presumptuous sins.
Let
them not have dominion over me.
Then
I will be upright,
I
will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let
the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be
acceptable in your sight, LORD, my rock, and my redeemer.
PSALMS:

1 Hear
this, all you peoples.
Listen,
all you inhabitants of the world,
Likewise
the fool and the senseless perish,
And
leave their wealth to others.
And
their dwelling places to all generations.
They
name their lands after themselves.
Death
shall be their shepherd.
The
upright shall have dominion over them in the morning.
Their
beauty shall decay in She'ol,
Far
from their mansion.
15 But
God will redeem my soul from the power of She'ol,
For
he will receive me.
Selah.
16 Don't
be afraid when a man is made rich,
When
the glory of his house is increased.
17 For
when he dies he shall carry nothing away.
His
glory shall not descend after him.
18 Though
while he lived he blessed his soul --
And
men praise you when you do well for yourself --
19 He
shall go to the generation of his fathers.
They
shall never see the light.
20 A
man who has riches without understanding,
Is
like the animals that perish.

1 God,
the nations have come into your inheritance.
They
have defiled your holy temple.
They
have laid Yerushalayim in heaps.
On
the kingdoms that don't call on your names;
Let
your tender mercies speedily meet us,
For
we are in desperate need.
Deliver
us, and forgive our sins, for your name's sake.
"Where
is their God?"
Let
it be known among the nations, before our eyes,
That
vengeance for your servants' blood is being poured out.
According
to the greatness of your power, preserve those who are sentenced to
death;
Their
reproach with which they have reproached you, Lord.
Will
give you thanks forever.
We
will praise you forever, to all generations.
PSALMS:
109
1 God
of my praise, don't remain silent,
Neither
let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children.
Don't
let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
But
persecuted the poor and needy man,
The
broken in heart, to kill them.
He
didn't delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
It
came into his inward parts like water,
Like
oil into his bones.
For
the belt that is always around him.
21 But
deal with me, the LORD the Lord, for your name's sake,
Because
your loving kindness is good, deliver me;
22 For
I am poor and needy.
My
heart is wounded within me.
23 I
fade away like an evening shadow.
I
am shaken off as the arbeh.
24 My
knees are weak through fasting.
My
body is thin and lacks fat.
25 I
have also become a reproach to them.
When
they see me, they shake their head.
26
Help
me, LORD, my God.
Save
me according to your loving kindness;
27
That they may know that this is your hand;
That
you, LORD, have done it.
28 They
may curse, but you bless.
When
they arise, they will be put to shame,
But
your servant shall rejoice.
29 Let
my adversaries be clothed with dishonor.
Let
them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
30 I
will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth.
Yes,
I will praise him among the multitude.
31
For
he will stand at the right hand of the needy,
To
save him from those who judge his soul.
PSALMS:
139
1 LORD,
you have searched me,
And
you know me.
But
the night shines as the day.
The
darkness is like light to you.
For
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Your
works are wonderful.
My
soul knows that very well.
When
I was made in secret,
Woven
together in the depths of the eretz.
In
your book they were all written,
The
days that were ordained for me,
When
as yet there were none of them.
When
I wake up, I am still with you.
PROVERBS:

1 Better
is the poor who walks in his integrity
Than
he who is perverse in his lips and is a fool.
Nor
being hasty with one's feet and missing the way.
How
much more do his friends avoid him!
He
pursues them with pleas, but they are gone.
Much
less for a servant to have rule over princes.
He
rests and will not be touched by trouble.
Rebuke
one who has understanding, and he will gain knowledge.
Is
a son who causes shame and brings reproach.
OLD
TESTAMENT:
JEREMIAH 10:1 - 11:23
10:1 Hear
you the word which the LORD speaks to you, house of Yisra'el: 2 thus
says the LORD, "Don't learn the way of the nations, and don't be
dismayed at the signs of the sky; for the nations are dismayed at
them. 3 For
the customs of the peoples are vanity; for one cuts a tree out of the
forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the ax. 4 They
deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with
hammers, that it not move. 5 They
are like a palm tree, of turned work, and don't speak: they must be
carried, because they can't go. Don't be afraid of them; for they
can't do evil, neither is it in them to do good. 6 There
is none like you, LORD; you are great, and your name is great in
might. 7 Who
should not fear you, King of the nations? for to you does it
appertain; because among all the wise men of the nations, and in all
their royal estate, there is none like you. 8 But
they are together brutish and foolish: the instruction of idols! it
is but a stock. 9 There
is silver beaten into plates, which is brought from Tarshish, and
gold from Ufaz, the work of the artificer and of the hands of the
goldsmith; blue and purple for their clothing; they are all the work
of skillful men. 10 But
the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, and an everlasting
King: at his wrath the eretz trembles, and the nations are not able
to abide his indignation.
11
Thus
shall you say to them, The gods that have not made the heavens and
the eretz, these shall perish from the eretz, and from under the
heavens. 12 He
has made the eretz by his power, he has established the world by his
wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the
heavens: 13 when
he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and
he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the eretz; he makes
lightnings for the rain, and brings forth the wind out of his
treasuries. 14 Every
man is become brutish [and is] without knowledge; every goldsmith is
put to shame by his engraved image; for his molten image is
falsehood, and there is no breath in them. 15 They
are vanity, a work of delusion: in the time of their visitation they
shall perish. 16 The
portion of Ya`akov is not like these; for he is the former of all
things; and Yisra'el is the tribe of his inheritance: the LORD of
Hosts is his name. 17
Gather up your wares out of the land, you who abide in the
siege. 18 For
thus says the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the
land at this time, and will distress them, that they may feel
[it]. 19 Woe
is me because of my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly
this is [my] grief, and I must bear it. 20 My
tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone
forth from me, and they are no more: there is none to spread my tent
any more, and to set up my curtains. 21 For
the shepherds are become brutish, and have not inquired of the LORD:
therefore they have not prospered, and all their flocks are
scattered. 22 The
voice of news, behold, it comes, and a great commotion out of the
north country, to make the cities of Yehudah a desolation, a
dwelling-place of jackals. 23 LORD,
I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man who
walks to direct his steps. 24 LORD,
correct me, but in measure: not in your anger, lest you bring me to
nothing. 25 Pour
out your wrath on the nations that don't know you, and on the
families that don't call on your name: for they have devoured
Ya`akov, yes, they have devoured him and consumed him, and have laid
waste his habitation.
11:1 The
word that came to Yirmeyahu from the LORD, saying, 2 Hear
you the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Yehudah, and
to the inhabitants of Yerushalayim; 3 and
say you to them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el: Cursed be
the man who doesn't hear the words of this covenant, 4which
I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of
the land of Mitzrayim, out of the iron furnace, saying, Obey my
voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall
you be my people, and I will be your God; 5
that
I may establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them
a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day. Then answered I,
and said, Amein, LORD. 6 The
LORD said to me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Yehudah,
and in the streets of Yerushalayim, saying, Hear you the words of
this covenant, and do them. 7 For
I earnestly protested to your fathers in the day that I brought them
up out of the land of Mitzrayim, even to this day, rising early and
protesting, saying, Obey my voice. 8 Yet
they didn't obey, nor turn their ear, but walked everyone in the
stubbornness of their evil heart: therefore I brought on them all the
words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they didn't
do them. 9 The
LORD said to me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Yehudah, and
among the inhabitants of Yerushalayim. 10 They
are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused
to hear my words; and they are gone after other gods to serve them:
the house of Yisra'el and the house of Yehudah have broken my
covenant which I made with their fathers. 11 Therefore
thus says the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil on them, which they
shall not be able to escape; and they shall cry to me, but I will not
listen to them. 12 Then
shall the cities of Yehudah and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim go
and cry to the gods to which they offer incense: but they will not
save them at all in the time of their trouble. 13 For
according to the number of your cities are your gods, Yehudah; and
according to the number of the streets of Yerushalayim have you set
up altars to the shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to
Ba`al.
14
Therefore
don't you pray for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for
them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me
because of their trouble. 15 What
has my beloved to do in my house, seeing she has worked lewdness
[with] many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? when you do evil,
then you rejoice. 16 The
LORD called your name, A green olive tree, beautiful with goodly
fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he has kindled fire on it,
and the branches of it are broken. 17 For
the LORD of Hosts, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you,
because of the evil of the house of Yisra'el and of the house of
Yehudah, which they have worked for themselves in provoking me to
anger by offering incense to Ba`al. 18 The
LORD gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it: then you shown me their
doings. 19 But
I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter; and I didn't
know that they had devised devices against me, [saying], Let us
destroy the tree with the fruit of it, and let us cut him off from
the land of the living, that his name may be no more
remembered. 20 But,
the LORD of Hosts, who judge righteously, who try the heart and the
mind, I shall see your vengeance on them; for to you have I revealed
my cause. 21 Therefore
thus says the LORD concerning the men of `Anatot, who seek your life,
saying, You shall not prophesy in the name of the LORD, that you not
die by our hand; 22 therefore
thus says the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young
men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die
by famine; 23
and
there shall be no remnant to them: for I will bring evil on the men
of `Anatot, even the year of their visitation.
NEW
TESTAMENT:
COLOSSIANS 3:18 - 4:18
3:18 Wives,
be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the
Lord. 19 Husbands,
love your wives, and don't be bitter against them. 20 Children,
obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers,
don't provoke your children, so that they won't be
discouraged. 22 Servants,
obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh,
not just when they are looking, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of
heart, fearing God. 23
And
whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for
men, 24 knowing
that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance;
for you serve the Lord, Messiah. 25 For
he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done,
and there is no partiality.
4:1 Masters,
give to your servants that which is just and equal, knowing that you
also have a Master in heaven. 2 Continue
steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving; 3 praying
together for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to
speak the mystery of Messiah, for which I am also in bonds; 4 that
I may reveal it as I ought to speak. 5
Walk
in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let
your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may
know how you ought to answer each one. 7 All
my affairs will be made known to you by Tychicus, the beloved
brother, faithful servant, and fellow bondservant in the Lord. 8 I
am sending him to you for this very purpose, that he may know your
circumstances and comfort your hearts, 9 together
with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you.
They will make known to you all things that are going on
here. 10 Aristarchus,
my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark, the cousin of Bar-Nabba
(concerning whom you received mitzvot, "if he comes to you,
receive him"), 11 and
Yeshua who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These are
my only fellow workers to the kingdom of God, men who have been a
comfort to me. 12 Epaphras,
who is one of you, a servant of Messiah, salutes you, always striving
for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in
all the will of God. 13 For
I testify about him, that he has great zeal for you, and for those in
Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis. 14 Luke,
the beloved physician, and Demas greet you. 15 Greet
the brothers who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the assembly that
is in his house. 16 When
this letter has been read among you, cause it to be read also in the
assembly of the Laodiceans; and that you also read the letter from
Laodicea. 17
Tell
Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which you have received in
the Lord, that you fulfill it." 18 The
salutation of me, Sha'ul, with my own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace
be with you. Amein.
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
