1 The
fool has said in his heart,
"There
is no God.
"
They are corrupt, they have done abominable works.
There
is none who does good.
2 The
LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men,
To
see if there were any who did understand,
Who
did seek after God.
3 They
have all gone aside;
they
have together become corrupt.
There
is none who does good, no, not one.
4 Have
all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who
eat up my people as they eat bread,
And
don't call on the LORD?
5 There
were they in great fear,
For
God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 You
put to shame the counsel of the poor,
Because
the LORD is his refuge.
7 Oh
that the yeshu`ah of Yisra'el would come out of Tziyon!
When
the LORD restores the fortunes of his people,
Then
Ya`akov shall rejoice, and Yisra'el shall be glad.
PSALMS:

1 We
have heard with our ears,
God;
Our fathers have told us,
What
work you did in their days,
In
the days of old.
But
you planted them.
You
afflicted the peoples,
But
you spread them abroad.
Neither
did their own arm save them;
But
your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your face,
Because
you were favorable to them.
Through
your name, will we tread them under who rise up against us.
8 In
God have we made our boast all day long,
We
will give thanks to your name forever. Selah.
9 But
now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor,
And
don't go out with our armies.
10 You
make us turn back from the adversary.
Those
who hate us take spoil for themselves.
11 You
have made us like sheep for food,
And
have scattered us among the nations.
12You
sell your people for nothing,
And
have gained nothing from their sale.
13 You
make us a reproach to our neighbors,
A
scoffing and a derision to those who are round about us.
14 You
make us a byword among the nations,
A
shaking of the head among the peoples.
15
All
day long is my dishonor before me,
And
shame covers my face,
16 At
the taunt of one who reproaches and reviles,
Because
of the enemy and the avenger.
17 All
this has come on us,
Yet
have we not forgotten you,
Neither
have we been false to your covenant.
18
Our
heart has not turned back,
Neither
have our steps declined from your way,
19 That
you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals,
And
covered us with the shadow of death.
20 If
we have forgotten the name of our God,
Or
spread forth our hands to a strange god;
21
Won't
God search this out?
For
he knows the secrets of the heart.
22 Yes,
for your sake are we killed all day long.
We
are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.
23 Wake
up!
Why
do you sleep, Lord? Arise!
Don't
reject us forever.
24 Why
do you hide your face,
And
forget our affliction and our oppression?
25 For
our soul is bowed down to the dust.
Our
body cleaves to the eretz.
26 Rise
up to help us.
Redeem
us for your loving kindness' sake.
PSALMS:
74
1 God,
why have you rejected us forever?
Why
does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
Which
you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance;
Mount
Tziyon, in which you have lived.
They
have set up their standards as signs.
They
have profaned the dwelling-place of your Name.
"We
will crush them completely.
"
They have burned up all the places in the land where God was
worshiped.
There
is no longer any prophet,
Neither
is there among us anyone who knows how long.
Take
it out of your pocket and consume them!
The
tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.

1 Bless
the LORD, my soul.
The
LORD, my God, you are very great.
You
are clothed with honor and majesty.
He
makes the clouds his chariot.
He
walks on the wings of the wind.
That
they don't turn again to cover the eretz.
And
plants for man to cultivate,
That
he may bring forth food out of the eretz:
Oil
to make his face to shine,
And
bread that strengthens man's heart.
In
wisdom have you made them all.
The
eretz is full of your riches.
In
which are innumerable living things,
Both
small and great animals.
27
These
all wait for you,
That
you may give them their food in due season.
28 You
give to them; they gather.
You
open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
29 You
hide your face: they are troubled;
You
take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.
30 You
send forth your Spirit: they are created.
You
renew the face of the ground.
31 Let
the glory of the LORD endure forever.
Let
the LORD rejoice in his works.
32 He
looks at the eretz, and it trembles.
He
touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33 I
will sing to the LORD as long as I live.
I
will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
34 Let
your meditation be sweet to him.
I
will rejoice in the LORD.
35 Let
sinners be consumed out of the eretz.
Let
the wicked be no more.
Bless
the LORD, my soul.
Praise
the LORD!

1 Look!
Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD,
Who
stand by night in the LORD's house!
PROVERBS:

1 Every
wise woman builds her house,
But
the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.
Likewise
a good man will be rewarded for his ways.
But
in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.
But
he who is kind to the needy honors him.
And
is even made known in the inward part of fools.
But
his wrath is toward one who causes shame.
OLD
TESTAMENT:
JEREMIAH 1:1 - 2:30
1:1 The
words of Yirmeyahu the son of Hilkiyah, of the Kohanim who were in
`Anatot in the land of Binyamin: 2 to
whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Yoshiyahu the son of
Amon, king of Yehudah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. 3 It
came also in the days of Yehoiakim the son of Yoshiyahu, king of
Yehudah, to the end of the eleventh year of Tzidkiyahu, the son of
Yoshiyahu, king of Yehudah, to the carrying away of Yerushalayim
captive in the fifth month. 4 Now
the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 5 Before
I formed you in the belly I knew you, and before you came forth out
of the womb I sanctified you; I have appointed you a prophet to the
nations. 6 Then
said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I don't know how to speak; for I am a
child. 7
But the LORD said to me, Don't say, I am a child; for to whoever I
shall send you, you shall go, and whatever I shall command you, you
shall speak. 8 Don't
be afraid because of them; for I am with you to deliver you, says
the LORD. 9 Then
the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth; and the LORD said
to me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth: 10 behold,
I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to
pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build
and to plant. 11 Moreover
the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Yirmeyahu, what see you? I
said, I see a rod of an almond tree.12 Then
said the LORD to me, You have well seen: for I watch over my word to
perform it. 13 The
word of the LORD came to me the second time, saying, What see you? I
said, I see a boiling caldron; and the face of it is from the
north. 14 Then
the LORD said to me, Out of the north evil shall break forth on all
the inhabitants of the land. 15 For,
behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,
says the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set everyone his
throne at the entrance of the gates of Yerushalayim, and against all
the walls of it round about, and against all the cities of
Yehudah. 16 I
will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness,
in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other
gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands. 17
You therefore gird up your loins, and arise, and speak to them all
that I command you: don't be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you
before them. 18 For,
behold, I have made you this day a fortified city, and an iron
pillar, and brazen walls, against the whole land, against the kings
of Yehudah, against the princes of it, against the Kohanim of it,
and against the people of the land.19 They
shall fight against you; but they shall not prevail against you: for
I am with you, says the LORD, to deliver you.
2:1 The
word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 Go,
and cry in the ears of Yerushalayim, saying, Thus says the LORD, I
remember for you the kindness of your youth, the love of your
weddings; how you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that
was not sown. 3 Yisra'el
[was] holiness to the LORD, the first fruits of his increase: all
who devour him shall be held guilty; evil shall come on them, says
the LORD. 4 Hear
you the word of the LORD, O house of Ya`akov, and all the families
of the house of Yisra'el: 5 thus
says the LORD, What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me,
that they have gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and
are become vain? 6 Neither
said they, Where is the LORD who brought us up out of the land of
Mitzrayim, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of
deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of
death, through a land that none passed through, and where no man
lived? 7 I
brought you into a plentiful land, to eat the fruit of it and the
goodness of it; but when you entered, you defiled my land, and made
my heritage an abomination. 8 The
Kohanim didn't say, Where is the LORD? and those who handle the law
didn't know me: the rulers also transgressed against me, and the
prophets prophesied by Ba`al, and walked after things that do not
profit. 9 Therefore
I will yet contend with you, says the LORD, and with your children's
children will I contend. 10 For
pass over to the isles of Kittiyim, and see; and send to Kedar, and
consider diligently; and see if there has been such a thing. 11 Has
a nation changed [its] gods, which yet are no gods? but my people
have changed their glory for that which does not profit. 12 Be
astonished, you heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be you
very desolate, says the LORD. 13 For
my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the
spring of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken
cisterns, that can hold no water. 14 Is
Yisra'el a servant? is he a home-born [slave]? why is he become a
prey? 15 The
young lions have roared on him, and yelled; and they have made his
land waste: his cities are burned up, without inhabitant. 16 The
children also of Mof and Tachpanches have broken the crown of your
head. 17 Haven't
you procured this to yourself, in that you have forsaken the LORD
your God, when he led you by the way? 18 Now
what have you to do in the way to Mitzrayim, to drink the waters of
the Shichor? or what have you to do in the way to Ashshur, to drink
the waters of the River? 19 Your
own wickedness shall correct you, and your backsliding shall reprove
you: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and a bitter,
that you have forsaken the LORD your God, and that my fear is not in
you, says the Lord, the LORD of Hosts. 20 For
of old time I have broken your yoke, and burst your bonds; and you
said, I will not serve; for on every high hill and under every green
tree you did bow yourself, playing the prostitute. 21 Yet
I had planted you a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then are
you turned into the degenerate branches of a foreign vine to
me? 22For
though you wash yourself with lye, and use much soap, yet your
iniquity is marked before me, says the Lord GOD. 23 How
can you say, I am not defiled, I have not gone after the Ba`alim?
see your way in the valley, know what you have done: [you are] a
swift dromedary traversing her ways; 24 a
wild donkey used to the wilderness, that snuffs up the wind in her
desire; in her occasion who can turn her away? all those who seek
her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find
her. 25 Withhold
your foot from being unshod, and your throat from thirst: but you
said, It is in vain; no, for I have loved strangers, and after them
will I go. 26 As
the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Yisra'el
ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their Kohanim, and
their prophets; 27 who
tell a stock, You are my father; and to a stone, You have brought me
forth: for they have turned their back to me, and not their face;
but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save
us. 28 But
where are your gods that you have made you? let them arise, if they
can save you in the time of your trouble: for according to the
number of your cities are your gods, Yehudah. 29 Why
will you contend with me? you all have transgressed against me, says
the LORD. 30 In
vain have I struck your children; they received no correction: your
own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.
NEW
TESTAMENT:
PHILIPPIANS 4:1 - 23
4:1 Therefore,
my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm
in the Lord, my beloved.
2 I
exhort Evodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the
Lord.
3 Yes,
I beg you also, true yoke-fellow, help these women, for they labored
with me in the Good News, with Clement also, and the rest of my
fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
4 Rejoice
in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice!
5 Let
your mildness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 In
nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with
thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
7
The shalom of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your
hearts and your thoughts in Messiah Yeshua.
8 Finally,
brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things
are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any
virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.
9 The
things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these
things, and the God of shalom will be with you.
10 But
I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length you have revived
your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you
lacked opportunity.
11 Not
that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever
state I am, to be content in it.
12 I
know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything
and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to
be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
13 I
can do all things through Messiah, who strengthens me.
14 However
you did well that you had fellowship with my affliction.
15 You
yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the
Good News, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly had
fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you
only.
16 For
even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to my need.
17 Not
that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to
your account.
18 But
I have all things, and abound. I am filled, having received from
Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling
fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.
19 My
God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory
in Messiah Yeshua.
20
Now
to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amein.
21 Greet
every holy one in Messiah Yeshua. The brothers who are with me greet
you.
22 All
the holy ones greet you, especially those who are of Caesar's
household.
23 The
grace of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah be with you all. Amein.
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
