1 The
eretz is the LORD's, with its fullness;
The
world, and those who dwell therein.
2 For
he has founded it on the seas,
And
established it on the floods.
3 Who
may ascend to the LORD's hill?
Who
may stand in his holy place?
4 He
who has clean hands and a pure heart;
Who
has not lifted up his soul to falsehood,
And
has not sworn deceitfully.
5 He
shall receive a blessing from the LORD,
Righteousness
from the God of his salvation.
6 This
is the generation of those who seek Him,
Who
seek your face -- even Ya`akov.
Selah.
7 Lift
up your heads, you gates;
Be
lifted up, you everlasting doors:
The
King of glory will come in.
8 Who
is the King of glory?
The
LORD strong and mighty,
The
LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift
up your heads, you gates;
Yes,
lift them up, you everlasting doors:
The
King of glory will come in.
10 Who
is this King of glory?
The
LORD of Hosts,
He
is the King of glory.
Selah.

1 Save
me, God, by your name.
Vindicate
me in your might.
Violent
men have sought after my soul.
They
haven't set God before them.
Selah.
I
will give thanks to your name, LORD, for it is good.

1 How
lovely are your dwellings,
LORD
of Hosts!
My
heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
And
the swallow a nest for herself,
where
she may have her young,
Near
your altars, LORD of Hosts,
My
King, and my God.
they
make it a place of springs.
Yes,
the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
I
would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
Than
to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11
For
the LORD God is a sun and a shield.
The
LORD will give grace and glory.
He
withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
12 LORD
of Hosts,
Blessed
is the man who trusts in you.

1 Blessed
be the LORD, my rock,
Who
teaches my hands to war,
And
my fingers to battle:
My
high tower, my deliverer,
My
shield, and he in whom I take refuge;
Who
subdues my people under me.
Rescue
me, and deliver me out of great waters,
Out
of the hands of foreigners;
Whose
mouths speak deceit,
Whose
right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
Our
daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.
13 Our
barns are full, filled with all kinds of provision.
Our
sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields.
14 Our
oxen will pull heavy loads.
There
is no breaking in, and no going away,
And
no outcry in our streets.
15 Happy
are the people who are in such a situation.
Happy
are the people whose God is the LORD.
PROVERBS:
24
1 Don't
you be envious against evil men;
Neither
desire to be with them:
Indeed,
hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter!
"Behold,
we didn't know this;"
Doesn't
he who weighs the hearts consider it?
He
who keeps your soul, doesn't he know it?
Shall
he not render to every man according to his work?
The
droppings of the honeycomb, which are sweet to your taste:
If
you have found it, then will there be a reward,
Your
hope will not be cut off.
Don't
destroy his resting-place:
16 For
a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again;
But
the wicked are overthrown by calamity.
17 Don't
rejoice when your enemy falls.
Don't
let your heart be glad when he is overthrown;
18 Lest
the LORD see it, and it displease him,
And
he turn away his wrath from him.
19 Don't
fret yourself because of evildoers;
Neither
be envious of the wicked:
20 For
there will be no reward to the evil man;
And
the lamp of the wicked shall be snuffed out.
21 My
son, fear the LORD and the king.
Don't
join those who are rebellious:
22
For
their calamity will rise suddenly;
The
destruction from them both -- who knows?
23 These
also are sayings of the wise.
To
show partiality in judgment is not good.
24 He
who says to the wicked, "You are righteous;"
Peoples
shall curse him, and nations shall abhor him --
25 But
it will go well with those who convict the guilty,
And
a rich blessing will come on them.
26 An
honest answer Is like a kiss on the lips.
27 Prepare
your work outside.
Make
it ready for you in the field.
Afterwards,
build your house.
28 Don't
be a witness against your neighbor without cause.
Don't
deceive with your lips.
29 Don't
say, "I will do to him as he has done to me;
I
will render to the man according to his work."
30 I
went by the field of the sluggard,
By
the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
31
Behold,
it was all grown over with thorns.
Its
surface was covered with nettles,
And
its stone wall was broken down.
32 Then
I saw, and considered well.
I
saw, and received instruction:
33 A
little sleep, a little slumber,
A
little folding of the hands to sleep;
34 So
shall your poverty come as a robber,
And
your want as an armed man.
OLD
TESTAMENT:
JEREMIAH 22:1 - 23:30
22:1 This
is what the LORD says: “Go down to the palace of the king of Judah
and proclaim this message there: 2 ‘Hear
the word of the LORD to you, king of Judah, you who sit on David’s
throne—you, your officials and your people who come through these
gates. 3 This
is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the
hand of the oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or
violence to the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow, and do not
shed innocent blood in this place. 4 For
if you are careful to carry out these commands, then kings who sit
on David’s throne will come through the gates of this palace,
riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by their officials and
their people. 5 But
if you do not obey these commands, declares the LORD, I swear by
myself that this palace will become a ruin.’ ” 6 For
this is what the LORD says about the palace of the king of Judah:
“Though you are like Gilead to me, like the summit of Lebanon, I
will surely make you like a wasteland, like towns not inhabited.
7
I
will send destroyers against you, each man with his weapons, and
they will cut up your fine cedar beams and throw them into the
fire. 8 “People
from many nations will pass by this city and will ask one another,
‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this great city?’ 9
And
the answer will be: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of
the LORD their God and have worshiped and served other gods.’
” 10 Do
not weep for the dead king or mourn his loss; rather, weep bitterly
for him who is exiled, because he will never return nor see his
native land again. 11 For
this is what the LORD says about Shallum son of Josiah, who
succeeded his father as king of Judah but has gone from this place:
“He will never return. 12 He
will die in the place where they have led him captive; he will not
see this land again.” 13 “Woe
to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by
injustice, making his own people work for nothing, not paying them
for their labor. 14 He
says, ‘I will build myself a great palace with spacious upper
rooms.’ So he makes large windows in it, panels it with cedar and
decorates it in red. 15
“Does
it make you a king to have more and more cedar? Did not your father
have food and drink? He did what was right and just, so all went
well with him.16 He
defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is
that not what it means to know me?” declares the LORD. 17
“But
your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain, on shedding
innocent blood and on oppression and extortion.” 18 Therefore
this is what the LORD says about Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of
Judah: “They will not mourn for him: ‘Alas, my brother! Alas, my
sister!’ They will not mourn for him: ‘Alas, my master! Alas,
his splendor!’ 19 He
will have the burial of a donkey— dragged away and thrown outside
the gates of Jerusalem.” 20 “Go
up to Lebanon and cry out, let your voice be heard in Bashan, cry
out from Abarim, for all your allies are crushed. 21 I
warned you when you felt secure, but you said, ‘I will not
listen!’ This has been your way from your youth; you have not
obeyed me. 22 The
wind will drive all your shepherds away, and your allies will go
into exile. Then you will be ashamed and disgraced because of all
your wickedness. 23 You
who live in ‘Lebanon, ’ who are nestled in cedar buildings, how
you will groan when pangs come upon you, pain like that of a woman
in labor! 24 “As
surely as I live,” declares the LORD, “even if you, Jehoiachin
son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were a signet ring on my right hand,
I would still pull you off. 25 I
will deliver you into the hands of those who want to kill you, those
you fear—Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and the Babylonians. 26 I
will hurl you and the mother who gave you birth into another
country, where neither of you was born, and there you both will
die. 27 You
will never come back to the land you long to return to.” 28 Is
this man Jehoiachin a despised, broken pot, an object no one wants?
Why will he and his children be hurled out, cast into a land they do
not know? 29 O
land, land, land, hear the word of the LORD! 30 This
is what the LORD says: “Record this man as if childless, a man who
will not prosper in his lifetime, for none of his offspring will
prosper, none will sit on the throne of David or rule anymore in
Judah.”
23:1 “Woe
to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my
pasture!” declares the LORD. 2 Therefore
this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who
tend my people: “Because you have scattered my flock and driven
them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow
punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the
LORD. 3 “I
myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries
where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture,
where they will be fruitful and increase in number. 4 I
will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no
longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares
the LORD. 5 “The
days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will raise up for
David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what
is just and right in the land. 6 In
his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is
the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteous
Savior. 7 “So
then, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when people will
no longer say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the
Israelites up out of Egypt,’ 8
but
they will say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the
descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all
the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in
their own land.” 9 Concerning
the prophets: My heart is broken within me; all my bones tremble. I
am like a drunken man, like a strong man overcome by wine, because
of the Lord and his holy words. 10 The
land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land lies
parched and the pastures in the wilderness are withered. The
prophets follow an evil course and use their power
unjustly. 11 “Both
prophet and priest are godless; even in my temple I find their
wickedness,” declares the LORD. 12 “Therefore
their path will become slippery; they will be banished to darkness
and there they will fall. I will bring disaster on them in the year
they are punished,” declares the LORD. 13 “Among
the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: They prophesied
by Baal and led my people Israel astray. 14 And
among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They
commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of
evildoers, so that not one of them turns from their wickedness. They
are all like Sodom to me; the people of Jerusalem are like
Gomorrah.” 15 Therefore
this is what the LORD Almighty says concerning the prophets: “I
will make them eat bitter food and drink poisoned water, because
from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the
land.” 16
This
is what the LORD Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the
prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the
LORD. 17
They
keep saying to those who despise me, ‘The LORD says: You will have
peace.’ And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts
they say, ‘No harm will come to you.’ 18 But
which of them has stood in the council of the Lord to see or to hear
his word? Who has listened and heard his word? 19
See,
the storm of the Lord will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling
down on the heads of the wicked. 20 The
anger of the LORD will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the
purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand it
clearly. 21 I
did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I
did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied. 22 But
if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words
to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and
from their evil deeds. 23 “Am
I only a God nearby,” declares the LORD, “and not a God far
away? 24
Who
can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the
LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD. 25 “I
have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They
say, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’ 26 How
long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who
prophesy the delusions of their own minds? 27 They
think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget my
name, just as their ancestors forgot my name through Baal
worship. 28 Let
the prophet who has a dream recount the dream, but let the one who
has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with
grain?” declares the LORD. 29 “Is
not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer
that breaks a rock in pieces? 30 “Therefore,”
declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who steal from one
another words supposedly from me.

TESTAMENT:
2 THESSALONIANS 1:1 - 12
1:1 Paul,
Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God
our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Grace
and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We
ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and
rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the
love all of you have for one another is increasing.
4 Therefore,
among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in
all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.
5 All
this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you
will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are
suffering.
6 God
is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you
7 and
give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will
happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire
with his powerful angels.
8 He
will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of
our Lord Jesus.
9 They
will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the
presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might
10 on
the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be
marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you,
because you believed our testimony to you.
11 With
this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you
worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to
fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted
by faith.
12 We
pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you,
and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus
Christ.
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
