1 Why
do you stand far off, LORD?
Why
do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
2 In
arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak;
They
are caught in the schemes that they devise.
3 For
the wicked boasts of his heart's cravings,
He
blesses the greedy, and condemns the LORD.
4 The
wicked, in the pride of his face,
Has
no room in his thoughts for God.
5 His
ways are prosperous at all times;
He
is haughty, and your laws are far from his sight:
As
for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.
6 He
says in his heart, "I shall not be shaken;
For
generations I shall have no trouble."
7
His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression.
Under
his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
8 He
lies in wait near the villages.
From
ambushes, he murders the innocent.
His
eyes are secretly set against the helpless.
9 He
lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush.
He
lies in wait to catch the helpless.
He
catches the helpless, when he draws him in his net.
10 The
helpless are crushed, they collapse,
They
fall under his strength.
11 He
says in his heart, "God has forgotten.
He
hides his face. He will never see it."
12 Arise,
LORD! God, lift up your hand!
Don't
forget the helpless.
13 Why
does the wicked condemn God,
And
say in his heart, "God won't call me into account?"
14 But
you do see trouble and grief;
You
consider it to take it into your hand.
You
help the victim and the fatherless.
15 Break
the arm of the wicked.
As
for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.
16
The
LORD is King forever and ever!
The
nations will perish out of his land.
17 LORD,
you have heard the desire of the humble.
You
will prepare their heart.
You
will cause your ear to hear,
18 To
judge the fatherless and the oppressed,
That
man who is of the eretz may terrify no more.

1 I
waited patiently for the LORD.
He
turned to me, and heard my cry.
He
set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.
Many
shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
And
doesn't respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
And
your thoughts which are toward us.
They
can't be set in order to you;
If
I would declare and speak of them,
they
are more than can be numbered.
My
ears have you opened:
Burnt
offering and sin offering have you not required.
Behold,
I will not seal my lips, LORD, you know.
I
have declared your faithfulness and your salvation.
I
have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the
great assembly.
Let
your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
My
iniquities have overtaken me,
so
that I am not able to look up.
They
are more than the hairs of my head.
My
heart has failed me.
who
seek after my soul to destroy it.
Let
them be turned backward and
brought
to dishonor who delight in my hurt.
Let
such as love your salvation say continually,
"Let
the LORD be exalted!"
May
the Lord think about me.
You
are my help and my deliverer.
Don't
delay, my God.
PSALMS:

1 Hurry,
God, to deliver me.
Come
quickly to help me, LORD.
Let
those who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
Let
those who love your yeshu`ah continually say,
"Let
God be exalted!"
Come
to me quickly, God.
You
are my help and my deliverer,
LORD,
don't delay.

1 Make
a joyful noise to the LORD, all you lands!
It
is he who has made us, and we are his.
We
are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Into
his courts with praise.
Give
thanks to him, and bless his name.

1 Out
of the depths I have cried to you, LORD.
More
than watchmen for the morning.
For
with the LORD there is loving kindness.
With
him is abundant redemption.
PROVERBS:

1 The
proverbs of Shlomo.
A
wise son makes a glad father;
But
a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
But
he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
But
he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.
But
a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.
19
In
the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience,
But
he who restrains his lips does wisely.
20 The
tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The
heart of the wicked is of little worth.
21 The
lips of the righteous feed many,
But
the foolish die for lack of understanding.
22 The
blessing of the LORD brings wealth,
And
he adds no trouble to it.
23 It
is a fool's pleasure to do wickedness,
But
wisdom is a man of understanding's pleasure.
24 What
the wicked fear, will overtake them,
But
the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25
When
the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more;
But
the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26 As
vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes,
So
is the sluggard to those who send him.
27
The
fear of the LORD prolongs days,
But
the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28 The
prospect of the righteous is joy,
But
the hope of the wicked will perish.
29 The
way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright,
But
it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
30 The
righteous will never be removed,
But
the wicked will not dwell in the land.
31 The
mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom,
But
the perverse tongue will be cut off.
32 The
lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But
the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
OLD
TESTAMENT:
ISAIAH 57:15 - 59:21
57:15 For
thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name
is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of
a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite. 16
For
I will not contend forever, neither will I be always angry; for the
spirit would faint before me, and the souls who I have made. 17 For
the iniquity of his covetousness was I angry, and struck him; I hid
[my face] and was angry; and he went on backsliding in the way of
his heart. 18 I
have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and
restore comforts to him and to his mourners. 19 I
create the fruit of the lips: Shalom, shalom, to him who is far off
and to him who is near, says the LORD; and I will heal him. 20 But
the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can't rest, and its
waters cast up mire and dirt. 21 There
is no shalom, says my God, to the wicked.
58:1 Cry
aloud, don't spare, lift up your voice like a shofar, and declare to
my people their disobedience, and to the house of Ya`akov their
sins. 2 Yet
they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that
did righteousness, and didn't forsake the ordinance of their God,
they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to
God. 3 Why
have we fasted, [say they], and you don't see? [why] have we
afflicted our soul, and you take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of
your fast you find [your own] pleasure, and exact all your labors. 4
Behold,
you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of
wickedness: you don't fast this day so as to make your voice to be
heard on high. 5
Is
such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his
soul? Is it to bow down his head as a rush, and to spread sackcloth
and ashes under him? will you call this a fast, and an acceptable
day to the LORD? 6 Isn't
this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and
that you break every yoke? 7 Isn't
it to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who
are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover
him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 Then
shall your light break forth as the morning, and your healing shall
spring forth speedily; and your righteousness shall go before you;
the glory of the LORD shall by your rearward. 9 Then
shall you call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will
say, Here I am. If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the
putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly; 10 and
if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted
soul: then shall your light rise in darkness, and your obscurity be
as the noonday; 11
and
the LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in dry
places, and make strong your bones; and you shall be like a watered
garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters don't
fail. 12 Those
who shall be of you shall build the old waste places; you shall
raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be
called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell
in. 13 If
you turn away your foot from the Shabbat, from doing your pleasure
on my holy day; and call the Shabbat a delight, [and] the holy of
the LORD honorable; and shall honor it, not doing your own ways, nor
finding your own pleasure, nor speaking [your own] words: 14 then
shall you delight yourself in the LORD; and I will make you to ride
on the high places of the eretz; and I will feed you with the
heritage of Ya`akov your father: for the mouth of the LORD has
spoken it.
59:1 Behold,
the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it can't save; neither his
ear heavy, that it can't hear: 2
but
your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your
sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. 3 For
your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity;
your lips have spoken lies, your tongue mutters wickedness. 4 None
sues in righteousness, and none pleads in truth: they trust in
vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth
iniquity. 5 They
hatch adders' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he who eats of their
eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a
viper. 6 Their
webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves
with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of
violence is in their hands. 7 Their
feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their
thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in
their paths. 8 The
way of shalom they don't know; and there is no justice in their
goings: they have made them crooked paths; whoever goes therein does
not know shalom. 9 Therefore
is justice far from us, neither does righteousness overtake us: we
look for light, but, behold, darkness; for brightness, but we walk
in obscurity. 10 We
grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have
no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who
are lusty we are as dead men. 11 We
roar all like bears, and moan sore like doves: we look for justice,
but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. 12 For
our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify
against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our
iniquities, we know them: 13 transgressing
and denying the LORD, and turning away from following our God,
speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the
heart words of falsehood. 14
Justice
is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for
truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness can't enter. 15 Yes,
truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
The LORD saw it, and it displeased him who there was no
justice. 16 He
saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no
intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his
righteousness, it upheld him. 17 He
put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on
his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was
clad with zeal as a mantle. 18 According
to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries,
recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay
recompense. 19 So
shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory
from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream,
which the breath of the LORD drives. 20 A
Redeemer will come to Tziyon, and to those who turn from
disobedience in Ya`akov, says the LORD. 21 As
for me, this is my covenant with them, says the LORD: my Spirit who
is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not
depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out
of the mouth of your seed's seed, says the LORD, from henceforth and
forever.
NEW
TESTAMENT:
PHILIPPIANS 1:1 - 26
1:1 Sha'ul
and Timothy, servants of Yeshua the Messiah; To all the holy ones in
Messiah Yeshua who are at Philippi, with the overseers and
shammashim:
2 Grace
to you, and shalom from God, our Father, and the Lord, Yeshua the
Messiah.
3 I
thank my God whenever I remember you,
4 always
in every request of mine on behalf of you all making my requests
with joy,
5 for
your fellowship in furtherance of the Good News from the first day
until now;
6 being
confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you
will complete it until the day of Yeshua the Messiah.
7 It
is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you,
because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as, both in my bonds and in
the defense and confirmation of the Good News, you all are partakers
with me of grace.
8 For
God is my witness, how I long after all of you in the tender mercies
of Messiah Yeshua.
9 This
I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and
all discernment;
10 so
that you may approve the things that are excellent; that you may be
sincere and without offense to the day of Messiah;
11 being
filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Yeshua
the Messiah, to the glory and praise of God.
12 Now
I desire to have you know, brothers, that the things which happened
to me have turned out rather to the progress of the Good News;
13 so
that my bonds became revealed in Messiah throughout the whole
praetorian guard, and to all the rest;
14 and
that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my
bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without
fear.
15 Some
indeed preach Messiah even out of envy and strife, and some also out
of good will.
16 The
former preach Messiah from selfish ambition, not sincerely, thinking
that they add affliction to my chains;
17 but
the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense
of the Good News.
18 What
does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in
truth, Messiah is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will
rejoice.
19 For
I know that this will turn out to my salvation, through your
supplication and the supply of the Spirit of Yeshua the Messiah,
20
according
to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be put to
shame, but with all boldness, as always, now also Messiah will be
magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.
21 For
to me to live is Messiah, and to die is gain.
22 But
if to live in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; then I
don't make known what I will choose.
23 But
I am in a dilemma between the two, having the desire to depart and
be with Messiah, which is far better.
24 Yet,
to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.
25 Having
this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you
all, for your progress and joy in the faith,
26 that
your rejoicing may abound in Messiah Yeshua in me through my presence
with you again.
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
