PSALMS: 9
1 I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart.
I will tell of all your marvelous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Elyon.
3 When my enemies turn back,
They stumble and perish in your presence.
4 For you have maintained my right and my cause.
You sit on the throne judging righteously.
5 You have rebuked the nations.
You have destroyed the wicked.
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
6 The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin.
The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
7 But the LORD reigns forever.
He has prepared his throne for judgment.
8 He will judge the world in righteousness.
He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
9 The LORD will also be a high tower for the oppressed;
A high tower in times of trouble.
10 Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
For you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
11 Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Tziyon,
And declare among the people what he has done.
12 For he who avenges blood remembers them.
He doesn't forget the cry of the afflicted.
13 Have mercy on me, LORD.
See my affliction by those who hate me,
And lift me up from the gates of death;
14 That I may show forth all your praise.
In the gates of the daughter of Tziyon I will rejoice in your salvation.
15 The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made;
In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
16 The LORD has made himself known.
He has executed judgment.
The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands.

17 The wicked shall be turned back to She'ol,
Even all the nations that forget God.
18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
Nor the hope of the poor perish forever.
19 Arise, LORD! Don't let man prevail.
Let the nations be judged in your sight.
20 Put them in fear, LORD.
Let the nations know that they are only men.

PSALMS: 39
1 I said, "I will watch my ways, so that I don't sin with my tongue.
I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me."
2 I was mute with silence.
I held my shalom, even from good.
My sorrow was stirred.
3 My heart was hot within me.
While I meditated, the fire burned:
I spoke with my tongue:
4 "LORD, make me to know my end,
What is the measure of my days.
Let me know how frail I am.
5 Behold, you have made my days hand breadths.
My lifetime is as nothing before you.
Surely every man stands as a breath."
Selah.
6"Surely every man walks like a shadow.
Surely they busy themselves in vain.
He heaps up, and doesn't know who shall gather.
7 Now, Lord, what do I wait for?
My hope is in you.
8 Deliver me from all my transgressions.
Don't make me the reproach of the foolish.
9 I was mute, I didn't open my mouth,
Because you did it.
10 Remove your scourge away from me.
I am overcome by the blow of your hand.
11 When you rebuke and correct man for iniquity,
You consume his wealth like a moth.
Surely every man is but a breath."

12 "Hear my prayer, LORD,
and give ear to my cry.
Don't be silent at my tears.
For I am a stranger with you,
A sojourner, as all my fathers were.
13 Oh spare me, that I may recover strength,
Before I go away, and be no more."
PSALMS: 69
1 Save me, God,
For the waters have come up to my neck!
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold.
I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
3 I am weary with my crying.
My throat is dry.
My eyes fail, looking for my God.
4 Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head.
Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty.
I have to restore what I didn't take away.
5 God, you know my foolishness.
My sins aren't hidden from you.
6 Don't let those who wait for you be put to shame through me,
Lord GOD of Hosts.
Don't let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me,
God of Yisra'el.
7 Because for your sake, I have borne reproach.
Shame has covered my face.
8 I have become a stranger to my brothers,
An alien to my mother's children.
9 For the zeal of your house consumes me.
The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
10 When I wept and I fasted,
That was to my reproach.
11 When I made sackcloth my clothing,
I became a byword to them.
12 Those who sit in the gate talk about me.
I am the song of the drunkards.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to you, LORD, in an acceptable time.
God, in the abundance of your loving kindness,
answer me in the truth of your salvation.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and don't let me sink.
Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
15 Don't let the flood waters overwhelm me,
Neither let the deep swallow me up.
Don't let the pit shut its mouth on me.
16 Answer me, LORD, for your loving kindness is good.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.
17 Don't hide your face from your servant, For I am in distress.
Answer me speedily!
18 Draw near to my soul, and redeem it.
Ransom me because of my enemies.
19 You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor.
My adversaries are all before you.
20 Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness.
I looked for some to take pity, but there was none;
For comforters, but I found none.
21 They also gave me gall for my food.
In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.
22 Let their table before them become a snare.
May it become a retribution and a trap.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can't see.
Make their loins continually to shake.
24 Pour out your indignation on them.
Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.
25 Let their habitation be desolate.
Let no one dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute him whom you have wounded.
They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime.
Don't let them come into your righteousness.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life,
And not be written with the righteous.
29 But I am in pain and distress.
Let your yeshu`ah, God, protect me.
30 I will praise the name of God with a song,
And will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31 It will please the LORD better than an ox,
Or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
32 The humble have seen it, and are glad.
You who seek after God, let your heart live.
33 For the LORD hears the needy,
And doesn't despise his captive people.
34 Let heaven and eretz praise him;
The seas, and everything that moves therein!
35 For God will save Tziyon, and build the cities of Yehudah.
They shall settle there, and own it.
36 The children also of his servants shall inherit it.
Those who love his name shall dwell therein.
PSALMS: 99
1 The LORD reigns!
Let the peoples tremble.
He sits enthroned among the Keruvim.
Let the eretz be moved.
2 The LORD is great in Tziyon.
He is high above all the peoples.
3 Let them praise your great and awesome name.
He is Holy!
4 The King's strength also loves justice.
You do establish equity.
You execute justice and righteousness in Ya`akov.
5 Exalt the LORD our God.
Worship at his footstool.
He is Holy!
6 Moshe and Aharon were among his Kohanim,
Shemu'el among those who call on his name;
They called on the LORD, and he answered them.
7 He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud.
They kept his testimonies,
The statute that he gave them.
8 You answered them, LORD our God.
You are a God who forgave them,
Although you took vengeance for their doings.
9 Exalt the LORD, our God.
Worship at his holy hill,
For the LORD, our God, is holy!
PSALMS: 129
1 Many times have they afflicted me from my youth up.
Let Yisra'el now say,
2 Many times have they afflicted me from my youth up,
Yet they have not prevailed against me.
3 The plowers plowed on my back.
They made their furrows long.
4 The LORD is righteous.
He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.
5 Let them be put to shame and turned backward,
All those who hate Tziyon.
6 Let them be as the grass on the housetops,
Which withers before it grows up;
7 With which the reaper doesn't fill his hand,
Nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.
8 Neither do those who go by say,
"The blessing of the LORD be on you.
We bless you in the name of the LORD."
2 She has prepared her meat.
She has mixed her wine.
She has also set her table.
3 She has sent out her maidens.
She cries from the highest places of the city:
4 "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!"
As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
5 "Come, eat some of my bread,
Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
6 Leave your simple ways, and live.
Walk in the way of understanding."
7 He who corrects a mocker invites insult.
He who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.
8 Don't reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you.
Reprove a wise man, and he will love you.
9 Instruct a wise man, and he will be still wiser.
Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11 For by me your days will be multiplied.
The years of your life will be increased.
12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself.
If you mock, you alone will bear it.
13 The foolish woman is loud,
Undisciplined, and knows nothing.
14 She sits at the door of her house,
On a seat in the high places of the city,
15 To call to those who pass by,
Who go straight on their ways,
16 "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here."
As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
17 "Stolen water is sweet.
Food eaten in secret is pleasant."
18 But he doesn't know that the dead are there,
That her guests are in the depths of She'ol.
OLD TESTAMENT: LEVITICUS 22:17 - 23:44
22:17 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 18 Speak to Aharon, and to his sons, and to all the children of Yisra'el, and tell them, Whoever he be of the house of Yisra'el, or of the sojourners in Yisra'el, that offers his offering, whether it be any of their vows, or any of their freewill-offerings, which they offer to the LORD for a burnt offering; 19 that you may be accepted, [you shall offer] a male without blemish, of the bulls, of the sheep, or of the goats. 20 But whatever has a blemish, that shall you not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you. 21 Whoever offers a sacrifice of peace-offerings to the LORD to accomplish a vow, or for a freewill-offering, of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein. 22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, you shall not offer these to the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them on the altar to the LORD. 23 Either a bull or a lamb that has any deformity or lacking in his parts, that may you offer for a freewill-offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted. 24 That which has its stones bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut, you shall not offer to the LORD; neither shall you do [thus] in your land. 25 Neither from the hand of a foreigner shall you offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them: they shall not be accepted for you. 26 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 27 When a bull, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the hen; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for the offering of an offering made by fire to the LORD. 28 Whether it be cow or ewe, you shall not kill it and its young both in one day. 29 When you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, you shall sacrifice it that you may be accepted. 30 On the same day it shall be eaten; you shall leave none of it until the morning: I am the LORD. 31 Therefore shall you keep my mitzvot, and do them: I am the LORD. 32 You shall not profane my holy name; but I will be made holy among the children of Yisra'el: I am the LORD who makes you holy, 33 who brought you out of the land of Mitzrayim, to be your God: I am the LORD.
23:1 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 2 Speak to the children of Yisra'el, and tell them, The set feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my set feasts. 3 Six days shall work be done: but on the seventh day is a Shabbat of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of work: it is a Shabbat to the LORD in all your dwellings. 4 These are the set feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed season 5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, is the LORD's Pesach. 6 On the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of matzah to the LORD: seven days you shall eat matzah. 7 In the first day you shall have a holy convocation: you shall do no servile work. 8 But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work. 9 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 10 Speak to the children of Yisra'el, and tell them, When you are come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap the harvest of it, then you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the Kohen:11 and he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the next day after the Shabbat the Kohen shall wave it. 12 In the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a he-lamb without blemish a year old for a burnt offering to the LORD. 13 The meal-offering of it shall be two tenth parts [of an efah] of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the LORD for a sweet savor; and the drink-offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. 14 You shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor fresh ears, until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings 15 You shall count to you from the next day after the Shabbat, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave-offering; seven Shabbatot shall there be complete: 16 even to the next day after the seventh Shabbat shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meal-offering to the LORD. 17 You shall bring out of your habitations two wave-loaves of two tenth parts [of an efah]: they shall be of fine flour, they shall be baked with yeast, for first fruits to the LORD. 18 You shall present with the bread seven lambs without blemish a year old, and one young bull, and two rams: they shall be a burnt offering to the LORD, with their meal-offering, and their drink-offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to the LORD. 19 You shall offer one male goat for a sin-offering, and two he-lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace-offerings 20 The Kohen shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave-offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the Kohen. 21 You shall make proclamation on the same day; there shall be a holy convocation to you; you shall do no servile work: it is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations 22 When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleaning of your harvest: you shall leave them for the poor, and for the sojourner: I am the LORD your God. 23 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 24 Speak to the children of Yisra'el, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 You shall do no servile work; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. 26 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 27 However on the tenth day of this seventh month is Yom Kippur: it shall be a holy convocation to you, and you shall afflict your souls; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. 28 You shall do no manner of work in that same day; for it is Yom Kippur a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29 For whatever soul it be who shall not be afflicted in that same day; he shall be cut off from his people. 30 Whatever soul it be who does any manner of work in that same day, that soul will I destroy from among his people. 31 You shall do no manner of work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 It shall be to you a Shabbat of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even to even, shall you keep your Shabbat. 33 The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying, 34 Speak to the children of Yisra'el, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of booths for seven days to the LORD. 35 On the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no servile work. 36 Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD: on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; you shall do no servile work 37 These are the set feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meal-offering, a sacrifice, and drink-offerings, each on its own day; 38 besides the Shabbatot of the LORD, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill-offerings, which you give to the LORD 39 However on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest. 40 You shall take on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. 41 You shall keep it a feast to the LORD seven days in the year: it is a statute forever throughout your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh month. 42 You shall dwell in booths seven days; all who are home-born in Yisra'el shall dwell in booths; 43 that your generations may know that I made the children of Yisra'el to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Mitzrayim: I am the LORD your God. 44 Moshe declared to the children of Yisra'el the set feasts of the LORD.
NEW TESTAMENT: MARK 9:30 - 10:12
9:30 They went forth from there, and passed through the Galil. He didn't want anyone to know it. 31 For he taught his talmidim, and said to them, "The Son of Man is delivered up into the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again." 32 But they didn't understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him. 33 He came to Kafar-Nachum, and when he was in the house he asked them, "What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?" 34 But they were silent, for they had disputed one with another on the way about who was the greatest. 35 He sat down, and called the twelve; and he said to them, "If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all." 36 He took a little child, and set him in the midst of them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them, 37 "Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, doesn't receive me, but him who sent me." 38 Yochanan said to him, "Teacher, we saw someone who doesn't follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn't follow us." 39 But Yeshua said, "Don't forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me. 40 For whoever is not against us is on our side. 41 For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Messiah's, most assuredly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward. 42 Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. 43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehinnom, into the unquenchable fire, 44 'where their worm doesn't die, and the fire is not quenched.' 45 If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehinnom, into the fire that will never be quenched -- 46 'where their worm doesn't die, and the fire is not quenched.' 47 If your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehinnom of fire, 48 'where their worm doesn't die, and the fire is not quenched.' 49 For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. 50 Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at shalom with one another."
10:1 He arose from there and came into the borders of Yehudah and beyond the Yarden. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he taught them again. 2 Perushim came to him testing him, and asked him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?" 3 He answered, "What did Moshe command you?" 4 They said, "Moshe allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her." 5 But Yeshua said to them, "For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this mitzvah. 6 But from the beginning of the creation, 'God made them male and female. 7 For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh,' so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." 10 In the house, his talmidim asked him again about the same matter. 11 He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her. 12 If a woman herself divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery."
