1 How blessed are those who reject the advice of the wicked,
don't stand on the way of sinners or sit where scoffers sit!
on his Torah they meditate day and night.
3 They are like trees planted by streams -they bear their fruit in season,
their leaves never wither, everything they do succeeds.
4 Not so the wicked, who are like chaff driven by the wind.
5 For this reason the wicked won't stand up to the judgment,
nor will sinners at the gathering of the righteous.
6 For ADONAI watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked is doomed.
PSALMS: 31
1 For the leader.
A psalm of David:
In you, ADONAI, I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your justice, save me!
2 Turn your ear toward me, come quickly to my rescue,
be for me a rock of strength, a fortress to keep me safe.
3 Since you are my rock and fortress, lead me and guide me for your name's sake.
4 Free me from the net they have hidden to catch me, because you are my strength.
5 Into your hand I commit my spirit;
you will redeem me, ADONAI, God of truth.
6 I hate those who serve worthless idols;
as for me, I trust in ADONAI.
7 I will rejoice and be glad in your grace,
for you see my affliction,
you know how distressed I am.
8 You did not hand me over to the enemy;
you set my feet where I can move freely.
9 Show me favor, ADONAI, for I am in trouble.
My eyes grow dim with anger, my soul and body as well.
10 For my life is worn out with sorrow and my years with sighing;
my strength gives out under my guilt, and my bones are wasting away.
11 I am scorned by all my adversaries, and even more by my neighbors;
even to acquaintances I am an object of fear when they see me in the street,
they turn away from me.
12 Like a dead man, I have passed from their minds;
I have become like a broken pot.
13 All I hear is whispering, terror is all around me;
they plot together against me, scheming to take my life.
14 But I, I trust in you, ADONAI; I say, "You are my God."
15 My times are in your hand;
rescue me from my enemies' power, from those who persecute me.
16 Make your face shine on your servant;
in your grace, save me.
17 ADONAI, don't let me be put to shame,
for I have called on you;
let the wicked be put to shame, l
et them be silenced in Sh'ol.
18 May lying lips be struck dumb,
that speak insolently against the righteous with such pride and contempt.
19 But oh, how great is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you,
which you do for those who take refuge in you, before people's very eyes!
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them from human plots,
you conceal them in your shelter, safe from contentious tongues.
21 Blessed be ADONAI!
For he has shown me his amazing grace when I was in a city under siege.
22 As for me, in my alarm I said, "I have been cut off from your sight!
"Nevertheless, you heard my pleas when I cried out to you.
23 Love ADONAI, you faithful of his.
ADONAI preserves the loyal, but the proud he repays in full.
24 Be strong, and fill your hearts with courage,
all of you who hope in ADONAI.
PSALMS: 61
1 For the leader.
A psalm of David:

PSALMS: 91
1 You who live in the shelter of 'Elyon,
who spend your nights in the shadow of Shaddai,
2 who say to ADONAI,
"My refuge!
My fortress!
My God, in whom I trust!"
3 he will rescue you from the trap of the hunter and from the plague of calamities;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his truth is a shield and protection.
5 You will not fear the terrors of night or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the plague that roams in the dark,
or the scourge that wreaks havoc at noon.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand;
but it won't come near you.
8 Only keep your eyes open, and you will see how the wicked are punished.
9 For you have made ADONAI, the Most High,
who is my refuge, your dwelling-place.
10 No disaster will happen to you,
no calamity will come near your tent;
11 for he will order his angels to care for you and guard you wherever you go.
12 They will carry you in their hands,
so that you won't trip on a stone.
13 You will tread down lions and snakes,
young lions and serpents you will trample underfoot.
14 "Because he loves me, I will rescue him;
because he knows my name, I will protect him.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him.
I will be with him when he is in trouble.
I will extricate him and bring him honor.
16 I will satisfy him with long life and show him my salvation."
PSALMS: 121
1 A song of ascents:
If I raise my eyes to the hills,
from where will my help come?
2 My help comes from ADONAI,
the maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip -your guardian is not asleep.
4 No, the guardian of Isra'el never slumbers or sleeps.
5 ADONAI is your guardian; at your right hand
ADONAI provides you with shade
6 the sun can't strike you during the day or even the moon at night.
7 ADONAI will guard you against all harm;
he will guard your life.
8 ADONAI will guard your coming and going from now on and forever.
PROVERBS: 1
1 The proverbs of Shlomo the son of David, king of Isra'el,
2 are for learning about wisdom and discipline; f
or understanding words expressing deep insight;
3 for gaining an intelligently disciplined life,
doing what is right, just and fair;
4 for endowing with caution those who don't think and the
young person with knowledge and discretion.
5 Someone who is already wise will hear and learn still more;
someone who already understands will gain the ability to counsel well;
6 he will understand proverbs, obscure expressions,
the sayings and riddles of the wise.
7 The fear of ADONAI is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
8 My son, heed the discipline of your father,
and do not abandon the teaching of your mother;
9 they will be a garland to grace your head,
a medal of honor for your neck.
10 My son, if sinners entice you,
don't go along with them.
11 Suppose they say, "Come with us:
we'll ambush somebody and kill him,
we'll waylay some harmless soul, just for fun;
12 we'll swallow him alive, like Sh'ol, whole,
like those who descend to the pit;
13 we'll find everything he has of value,
we'll fill our homes with loot!
14 Throw in your lot with us;
we'll share a common purse"-
15 my son, don't go along with them,
don't set foot on their path;
16 Their feet run to evil, they rush to shed blood.
17 For in vain is the net baited if any bird can see it;
18 rather, they are ambushing themselves
to shed their own blood, waylaying themselves.
19 So are the ways of all greedy for gain -it takes the lives of those who get it.
20 Wisdom calls aloud in the open air and raises her voice in the public places;
21 she calls out at streetcorners and speaks out at entrances to city gates:
22 "How long, you whose lives have no purpose,
will you love thoughtless living?
How long will scorners find pleasure in mocking?
How long will fools hate knowledge?
23 Repent when I reprove -I will pour out my spirit to you,
I will make my words known to you.
24 Because you refused when I called,
and no one paid attention when I put out my hand,
25 but instead you neglected my counsel and would not accept my reproof;
26 I, in turn, will laugh at your distress,
and mock when terror comes over you
27 yes, when terror overtakes you like a storm and your disaster approaches like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble assail you.
28 Then they will call me, but I won't answer;
they will seek me earnestly, but they won't find me.
29 Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of ADONAI,
30 they refused my counsel and despised my reproof.
31 So they will bear the consequences of their own way
and be overfilled with their own schemes.
32 For the aimless wandering of the thoughtless will kill them,
and the smug overconfidence of fools will destroy them;
33 but those who pay attention to me will live securely,
untroubled by fear of misfortune."
OLD TESTAMENT: NUMBERS 36:1 - DEUTERONOMY 1:46
36:1 The heads of the fathers' [houses] of the family of the children of Gil`ad, the son of Makhir, the son of Menashsheh, of the families of the sons of Yosef, came near, and spoke before Moshe, and before the princes, the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the children of Yisra'el:
2 and they said, the LORD commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the children of Yisra'el: and my lord was commanded by the LORD to give the inheritance of Tzelohchad our brother to his daughters.
3 If they be married to any of the sons of the [other] tribes of the children of Yisra'el, then will their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they shall belong: so will it be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.
4 When the jubilee of the children of Yisra'el shall be, then will their inheritance be added to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they shall belong: so will their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.
5 Moshe commanded the children of Yisra'el according to the word of the LORD, saying, The tribe of the sons of Yosef speaks right.
6 This is the thing which the LORD does command concerning the daughters of Tzelohchad, saying, Let them be married to whom they think best; only into the family of the tribe of their father shall they be married.
7 So shall no inheritance of the children of Yisra'el remove from tribe to tribe; for the children of Yisra'el shall cleave everyone to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
8 Every daughter, who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Yisra'el, shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Yisra'el may possess every man the inheritance of his fathers.
9 So shall no inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; for the tribes of the children of Yisra'el shall cleave everyone to his own inheritance.
10 Even as the LORD commanded Moshe, so did the daughters of Tzelohchad:
11 for Machlah, Tirtzah, and Hoglah, and Milkah, and Noach, the daughters of Tzelohchad, were married to their father's brothers' sons.
12 They were married into the families of the sons of Menashsheh the son of Yosef; and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.
13 These are the mitzvot and the ordinances which the LORD commanded by Moshe to the children of Yisra'el in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden at Yericho.
DEUTERONOMY 1:1 These are the words which Moshe spoke to all Yisra'el beyond the Yarden in the wilderness, in the `Aravah over against Suf, between Paran, and Tofel, and Lavan, and Hatzerot, and Di-Zahav.
2 It is eleven days' [journey] from Horev by the way of Mount Se`ir to Kadesh-Barnea.
3 It happened in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moshe spoke to the children of Yisra'el, according to all that the LORD had given him in mitzvah to them;
4 after he had struck Sichon the king of the Amori, who lived in Heshbon, and `Og the king of Bashan, who lived in `Ashtarot, at Edre`i.
5 Beyond the Yarden, in the land of Mo'av, began Moshe to declare this law, saying,
6 The LORD our God spoke to us in Horev, saying, You have lived long enough in this mountain:
7 turn you, and take your journey, and go to the hill-country of the Amori, and to all [the places] near thereunto, in the `Aravah, in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and in the South, and by the sea-shore, the land of the Kana`anim, and Levanon, as far as the great river, the river Perat.
8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov, to give to them and to their seed after them.
9 I spoke to you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:
10 The LORD your God has multiplied you, and, behold, you are this day as the stars of the sky for multitude.
11 The LORD, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are, and bless you, as he has promised you!
12 How can I myself alone bear your encumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?
13 Take wise men of understanding and well known according to your tribes, and I will make them heads over you.
14 You answered me, and said, The thing which you have spoken is good [for us] to do.
15 So I took the heads of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, and captains of fifties, and captains of tens, and officers, according to your tribes.
16 I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear [the causes] between your brothers, and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the sojourner who is with him.
17 You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike; you shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.
18 I commanded you at that time all the things which you should do.
19 We journeyed from Horev, and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw, by the way to the hill-country of the Amori, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-Barnea.
20 I said to you, You are come to the hill-country of the Amori, which the LORD our God gives to us.
21 Behold, the LORD your God has set the land before you: go up, take possession, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has spoken to you; don't be afraid, neither be dismayed.
22 You came near to me everyone of you, and said, Let us send men before us, that they may search the land for us, and bring us word again of the way by which we must go up, and the cities to which we shall come.
23 The thing pleased me well; and I took twelve men of you, one man for every tribe:
24 and they turned and went up into the hill-country, and came to the valley of Eshkol, and spied it out.
25 They took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down to us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God gives to us.
26 Yet you wouldn't go up, but rebelled against the mitzvah of the LORD your God:
27 and you murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he has brought us forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, to deliver us into the hand of the Amori, to destroy us.
28 Where are we going up? our brothers have made our heart to melt, saying, The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to the sky; and moreover we have seen the sons of the `Anakim there.
29 Then I said to you, Don't dread, neither be afraid of them.
30 The LORD your God who goes before you, he will fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Mitzrayim before your eyes,
31 and in the wilderness, where you have seen how that the LORD your God bore you, as a man does bear his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place.
32 Yet in this thing you didn't believe the LORD your God,
33 who went before you in the way, to seek you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in the cloud by day.
34 The LORD heard the voice of your words, and was angry, and swore, saying,
35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see the good land, which I swore to give to your fathers,
36 save Kalev the son of Yefunneh: he shall see it; and to him will I give the land that he has trodden on, and to his children, because he has wholly followed the LORD.
37 Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, You also shall not go in there:
38 Yehoshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there: encourage you him; for he shall cause Yisra'el to inherit it.
39 Moreover your little ones, whom you said should be a prey, and your children, who this day have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there, and to them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
40 But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way to the Sea of Suf.
41 Then you answered and said to me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. You girded on every man his weapons of war, and were forward to go up into the hill-country.
42 The LORD said to me, Tell them, Don't go up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest you be struck before your enemies.
43 So I spoke to you, and you didn't listen; but you rebelled against the mitzvah of the LORD, and were presumptuous, and went up into the hill-country.
44 The Amori, who lived in that hill-country, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and beat you down in Se`ir, even to Hormah.
45 You returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD didn't listen to your voice, nor gave ear to you.
46 So you abode in Kadesh many days, according to the days that you abode [there].
NEW TESTAMENT: LUKE 5:29 - 6:11
5:29 Levi made him a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them. 30 Their Sofrim and the Perushim murmured against his talmidim, saying, "Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?" 31 Yeshua answered them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." 33 They said to him, "Why do Yochanan's talmidim often fast and pray, likewise also the talmidim of the Perushim, but yours eat and drink?" 34 He said to them, "Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them? 35 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days." 36 He also told a parable to them. "No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old. 37 No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed. 38 But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved. 39 No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, 'The old is better.'"
6:1 Now it happened on the second Shabbat after the first, that he was going through the grain fields, and his talmidim plucked the heads of grain, and ate, rubbing them in their hands. 2 But some of the Perushim said to them, "Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the day of Shabbat?" 3 Yeshua, answering them, said, "Haven't you read this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him; 4 how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the Kohanim alone?" 5 He said to them, "The Son of Man is lord of the Shabbat." 6 It also happened on another Shabbat that he entered into the synagogue and taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered. 7 The Sofrim and the Perushim watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Shabbat, that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, "Rise up, and stand in the middle." He arose and stood. 9 Then Yeshua said to them, "I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Shabbat to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?" 10 He looked around at them all, and said to him, "Stretch out your hand." He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other. 11 But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Yeshua.

הַמְדַבְּרִים חֲצָפִים כַּעֲלֵי צַדִּיק בְּגָוָה וּבוֹז.
19 וּמַה גָּדוֹל טוֹבְךָ,
אֲשֶׁר שָׁמַרְתָּ לַיְרָאִיךָ,
אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשֶׂה לַחֲסֵי בֶּךָ,
לעיני אנשים!
20 בְסֵת פְּנֵיךָ תְסְתִּירָם מִזִּימְלוֹת אָדָם,
תְסְתִּירָם בְּסֵתֶךָ, מִשְׁפָּנִים מִדִּבְרֵי מִדִּבְרֵי מִשְׁפָּט.
21 ברוך ה'! כי הראה לי חסדו הפליא בהיותי בעיר נצורה.
22 ואני בבהלתי אמרתי: "נגרעתי מעיניך!"
ובכל זאת שמעת תחנוני כשקראתי אליך.
23 אהבו את ה', נאמניו. ה' שומר נאמנים,
וגאים ישלם.
24 חזקו, ומלאו את לבכם אומץ,
כל מקווים לה'.

1 יושב מחסה עליון,
בצל שדי לילותיך,
2 האומרים לה':
"מחסי,
מבצרי,
אלוהיי, בו בטחתי!"
3 הוא יצילך ממלכודת צייד וממכת רעות;

ותחת כנפיו תמצא מחסה;

לו, א' וְנִגְשְׁאוּ רָאשִׁי הַאָבוֹת לְמִשְׁפַּחַת בְּנֵי גִּלְעָד בֶּן מַכִּיר בֶּן מְנַשֶּׁה מִמִּשְׁפַּחַת בְּנֵי יוֹסֵף וַיִּגְרוּ וַיִּדְבַּרוּ לִפְנֵי מֹשֶׁה וְלִפְנֵי הַנְּשִׂיאים רָאשִׁי הַאָבוֹת לְבֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
ב' וַיֹּאמְרוּ צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־אֲדֹנִי לִתְנַחַת אֶת־אֶרֶץ בַּגּוֹרֵל לְבֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנִצְוָה אֲדֹנִי מֵאֵת יְהוָה לִתְנַחַת אֶת־נַחַת צְלַחְד אָחִינוּ לִבְנָתוֹ.
ג' אִם־יְנַשְׁאוּ לְבַנֵי שְׁבָטִים בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנַחֲלָתָם מֵנַחַת אֲבוֹתֵינוּ וְתִסְפֶּר עַל־נַחַת הַשְּׁבֶט אֲשֶׁר־יֵשׁ אִם־יְשָׁאוּ אֶת־גּוֹרֵל נַחַתָּנוּ.
ד כי יהיה יובל לבני ישראל, ותוסיף נחלתם על נחלת השבט אשר יהיו בו, ויגזר נחלתם מנחלת שבט אבותינו.
ה ציווה משה את בני ישראל כדבר ה' לאמר, שבט בני יוסף ידבר נכון.
ו זה הדבר אשר מצווה ה' על בנות צלכבד לאמר, יתחתנו את אשר טוב בעיניהן, רק במשפחת שבט אבותם יתחתנו.
ז ולא תעבור נחלת בני ישראל משבט לשבט, כי בני ישראל ידבקו, איש בנחלת שבט אבותיו.
ח כל בת אשר תנחלה לה בכל שבט בני ישראל תהיה לאישה לאחד ממשפחת שבט אביה, למען יירשו בני ישראל איש את נחלת אבותיו.
ט ולא תעבור נחלה משבט אחד לשבט אחר, כי שבטי בני ישראל ידבקו איש בנחלתו.
י כאשר ציווה ה' את משה, כן עשו בנות צלחד.
יא ומחלה תרצה וחגלה ומלכה ונח בנות צלחד נשאו לבני אחי אביהם.
יב הן נשאו למשפחות בני מנשה בן יוסף, ותשאר נחלתם בשבט משפחת אביהם. 13 אלה המצוות והמשפטים אשר צוה ה' ביד משה לבני ישראל בערבות מואב על הירדן יריחו.
דברים א', א' אלה הדברים אשר דבר משה אל כל ישראל מעבר לירדן במדבר בערבה מול סוף בין פארן ותופל ולבן וחצרות ודי זהב.
ב' אחד עשר יום מחורב דרך הר שעיר קדש ברנע.
ג' ויהי בשנה הארבעים באחד עשר לחודש ודבר משה אל בני ישראל ככל אשר צוה ה' להם.
ד' אחרי הכתו את סיכון מלך האמורי אשר יושב בחשבון ואת עוג מלך הבשן אשר יושב באשתרות באדרעי. ה מעבר לירדן בארץ מואב החל משה לומר את התורה הזאת לאמר:
ו וידבר ה' אלהינו אלינו בחורב לאמר: די יושבתם בהר הזה.
ז פנו וסעו לדרך ולכו אל הר האמורי ואל כל הקרוב אליו בערבה, בהר ובשפלה ובנגב, ושפת הים, ארץ הכנענים ולבנון, עד הנהר הגדול נהר פרת.
ח הנה נתתי את הארץ לפניכם, לכו וירשו את הארץ אשר נשבע ה' לאבותיכם לאברהם, ליצחק וליעקב, לתת להם ולזרעם אחריהם. ט ואדבר אליכם בעת ההיא לאמר לא אוכל לשאת אתכם לבדי.
י ה' אלהיכם הרב אתכם והנה אתם היום ככוכבי השמים לרוב.
יא ה' אלהי אבותיכם ירב אתכם אלף פעמים מכם ויברך אתכם כאשר דבר לכם.
יב איך אוכל לשאת לבדי את עולכם ואת משאכם ואת ריבכם?
יג קחו חכמים ובני דעת לשבטיכם ואשימם לראשים עליכם.
ד עניתני ותאמר טוב הדבר אשר דברת לעשות.
טו ואקח את ראשי שבטיכם חכמים ובני דעת ואשימם לראשים עליכם שרי אלפים ושרי מאות ושרי חמישים ושרי עשרות ושוטרים לשבטיכם. טז צויתי את שופטיכם בעת ההיא לאמר: שמעו בין אחיכם ושפטו צדק בין איש לאחיו ובין הגר אשר עמו.
ז לא תשימו פנים במשפט, גם קטן וגם גדול תשמעו, לא תיראו מפני אדם, כי לאלהים המשפט הוא, ואת הדבר הקשה מכם תביאו אלי ואשמעו.
יח צויתי אתכם בעת ההיא את כל הדברים אשר תעשו.
ט נסענו מחרב, ונעבור בכל המדבר הגדול והנורא אשר ראיתם, דרך הר האמורי, כאשר צוה יהוה אלהינו אותנו, ונבוא עד קדש ברנע.
כד ואמר אליכם: באתם אל הר האמורי, אשר יהוה אלהינו נותן לנו.
21 הנה נתן יהוה אלהיך את הארץ לפניך עלה וירש כאשר דיבר יהוה אלהי אבותיך אליך אל תירא ואל תיבהל.
22 קרבתם אלי כלכם ותאמרו נשלח אנשים לפנינו וחיפשו לנו את הארץ והודיעו לנו את הדרך אשר נעלה בו ואת הערים אשר נבוא שמה.
23 והדבר טוב בעיניי ואקח מכם שנים עשר אנשים איש אחד לשבט.
24 וייסבו ויעלו ההרה ויבאו אל עמק אשכול וירגלו אותה.
25 ויקחו מפרי הארץ בידם ויורידו אלינו וישובו לנו ואמרו ארץ טובה אשר יהוה אלהינו נותן לנו. 26 ולא אַבתם לעלות, ומרדתם במצוות ה' אלהיכם.
27 ותלוננו באוהליכם, ותאמרו, כי שנא ה' אותנו, הוציאנו מארץ מצרים, לתת אותנו ביד האמורי להשמידנו.
28 אנה אנחנו עולים? אחינו המיסו את לבנו לאמר, העם גדול וגבה מאיתנו, הערים גדולות ובצרות עד השמים, וגם את בני הענקים ראינו שם.
29 ואמר לכם, אל תפחדו ואל תפחדו מהם. ל ה' אלוהיך ההולך לפניך הוא ילחם בעדך ככל אשר עשה לכם במצרים לעיניכם
…
לו מלבד כלב בן יפונה, הוא יראה אותה, ולו אתן את הארץ אשר דרך בה ולבניו, כי מלא אחרי ה'.
37 וגם ה' אף בי עליכם לאמר, גם אתם לא תבואו שם.
38 יהושע בן נון הניצב לפניכם, הוא יבוא שם, עודדו אותו, כי הוא ירשת את ישראל.
39 וגם את טפכם, אשר אמרתם שהם יהיו טרף, ואת בניכם, אשר היום לא ידעו טוב ורע, הם יבואו שם, ולם אתנה, והם יירשו אותה.
40 ואתם, פנו וסעו למדבר דרך ים סוף.מא ותענה ותאמר לי חטאנו לה', נעלה ונלחם ככל אשר צוה אותנו ה' אלהינו. איש איש את כלי מלחמה שלו חגרתם ותחממו לעלות ההר.
42 ויאמר ה' אלי, אמור להם, אל תעלו ואל תלחמו, כי איני בתוככם, פן תכפו לפני אויביכם.
43 ואדבר אליכם, ולא שמעתם, ומרדתם במצוות ה', ותחזיזו, ותעלו ההר.
44 האמרי, היושבים בהר ההוא, יצאו לקראתכם, וירדפו אתכם כדבורים, ויחרפו אתכם בשעיר עד חרמה.
45 שובתם ותבכו לפני ה', ולא שמע ה' בקולכם, ולא אזין לכם.
46 אז נשארתם בקדש ימים רבים, כמספר הימים אשר שהיתם שם.
ברית חדשה: לוקס ה':29 - ו':11
ה':29 לוי עשה לו סעודה גדולה בביתו. היה שם קהל רב של גובי מסים ואחרים אשר ישבו איתם.30 הסופרים שלהם והפרושים התלוננו על תלמידיו ואמרו: "למה אתם אוכלים ושותים עם גובי מסים וחוטאים?"31 השיב להם ישוע: "הבריאים אינם צריכים רופא, אלא החולים. 32 לא באתי לקרוא לצדיקים, אלא לחוטאים לתשובה."33 אמרו לו: "למה תלמידי יוחנן צמים ומתפללים לעתים קרובות, וכך גם תלמידי הפרושים, אבל שלכם אוכלים ושותים?" 34 אמר להם: "האם אתם יכולים לגרום לחבירי החתן לצום בזמן שהחתן איתם? 35 אבל יבואו ימים שבהם החתן יילקח מהם, ואז יצומו בימים ההם." 36 גם סיפר להם משל: "אין אדם מניח פיסת בגד חדשה על בגד ישן, פן יקרע את החדש, וגם הפיסת החדשה לא תתאים לישן. 37 אין אדם מכניס יין חדש לנאדות ישנות, פן היין החדש יבקע את הנאדות, יישפך והנאדות יאבדו. 38 אבל יין חדש צריך להיות מכניס לנאדות חדשות, ושניהם נשמרים. 39 איש ששתה יין ישן אינו חפץ מיד בחדש, כי הוא אומר 'הישן טוב יותר'."
6:1 ויהי בשבת השנייה אחרי הראשונה, והוא היה עובר בשדות התבואה, ותלמידיו קטפו את שבלי התבואה ואכלו, משפשפים אותם בידיהם. 2 וכמה מהפרושים אמרו להם: "מדוע אתם עושים את מה שאסור לעשות ביום השבת?" 3 ויען להם ישוע ואמר: "האם לא קראתם את אשר עשה דוד כשהיה רעב, הוא ואלה שהיו איתו? 4 כיצד נכנס לבית אלוהים, לקח ואכל את לחם הפנים, וגם נתן לאלה שהיו איתו, אשר אסור לאכול אלא לכוהנים בלבד?" 5 ויאמר להם: "בן האדם הוא אדון השבת." 6 ויהי גם בשבת אחרת אשר נכנס לבית הכנסת ולימד. שם היה איש, וידו הימנית יבשה. 7 הסופרים והפרושים התבוננו בו, לראות אם ירפא בשבת, כדי שימצאו בו כתב אישום. 8 אך הוא ידע את מחשבותיהם; ויאמר לאיש אשר ידו היבשה: "קום ועמוד באמצע." הוא קם ועמד. 9 ויאמר אליהם ישוע: "אשאל אתכם דבר: האם מותר בשבת לעשות טוב או להרע? להציל נפש או להרוג?" 10 הוא הביט סביב בכולם ואמר לו: "הושט את ידך!" הוא עשה זאת, וידו חזרה בריאה כיד השנייה. 11 אך הם מלאו זעם ודברו זה עם זה מה יעשו לישוע.
