PSALMS: 11
1 In the LORD do I take refuge.
How can you say to my soul,
"Flee as a bird to your mountain!"
2 For, behold, the wicked bend their bows.
They set their arrows on the strings,
That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3 If the foundations are destroyed,
What can the righteous do?
4 The LORD is in his holy temple.
The LORD is on his throne in heaven.
His eyes observe.
His eyes examine the children of men.
5 The LORD examines the righteous,
But the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.
6 On the wicked he will rain blazing coals;
Fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the LORD is righteous.
He loves righteousness.
The upright shall see his face.
PSALMS: 41
1 Blessed is he who considers the poor:
The LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.
2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive,
He shall be blessed on the eretz,
And he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.
3 The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed,
And restore him from his bed of illness.
4 I said, "LORD, have mercy on me.
Heal me, for I have sinned against you."
5 My enemies speak evil against me:
"When will he die, and his name perish?"
6 If he come to see me, he speaks falsehood.
His heart gathers iniquity to itself.
When he goes abroad, he tells it.
7 All who hate me whisper together against me.
They imagine the worst for me.
8 "An evil disease," they say, "has afflicted him.
Now that he lies he shall rise up no more."
9 Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,
Who ate bread with me,
Has lifted up his heel against me.
10 But you, LORD, have mercy on me, and raise me up,
That I may repay them.
11 By this I know that you delight in me,
Because my enemy doesn't triumph over me.
12 As for me, you uphold me in my integrity,
And set me in your presence forever.
13 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Yisra'el,
From everlasting and to everlasting! Amein and amein.
PSALMS: 71
1 In you, LORD, I take refuge.
Never let me be put to shame.
2 Deliver me in your righteousness, and rescue me.
Turn your ear to me, and save me.
3 Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go.
Give the command to save me,
For you are my rock and my fortress.
4 Rescue me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,
From the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5 For you are my hope, Lord GOD;
My confidence from my youth.
6 I have relied on you from the womb.
You are he who took me out of my mother's womb.
I will always praise you.
7 I am a marvel to many,
But you are my strong refuge.
8 My mouth shall be filled with your praise,
With your honor all the day.
9 Don't reject me in my old age.
Don't forsake me when my strength fails.
10 For my enemies talk about me.
Those who watch for my soul conspire together,
11 Saying, "God has forsaken him.
Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him."
12 God, don't be far from me.
My God, hurry to help me.
13 Let my accusers be put to shame and consumed.
Let them be covered with disgrace and scorn who want to harm me.
14 But I will always hope,
And will add to all of your praise.
15 My mouth will tell about your righteousness,
And of your salvation all day,
Though I don't know its full measure.
16 I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord GOD.
I will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours alone.
17 God, you have taught me from my youth.
Until now, I have declared your wondrous works.
18 Yes, even when I am old and gray-headed,
Until I have declared your strength to the next generation,
Your might to everyone who is to come.
19 Your righteousness also, God, reaches to the heavens;
You who have done great things.
God, who is like you?
20 You, who have shown us many and bitter troubles,
You will let me live.
You will bring us up again from the depths of the eretz.
21 Increase my honor, And comfort me again.
22 I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God.
I sing praises to you with the lyre,
Holy One of Yisra'el.
23 My lips shall shout for joy!
My soul, which you have redeemed, sings praises to you!
24 My tongue will also talk about your righteousness all day long,
For they are put to shame, and they are confounded,
who want to harm me.
PSALMS: 101
1 I will sing of loving kindness and justice.
To you, LORD, I will sing praises.
2 I will be careful to live a blameless life.
When will you come to me?
I will walk within my house with a blameless heart.
3 I will set no vile thing before my eyes.
I hate the deeds of faithless men.
They will not cling to me.
4 A perverse heart will be far from me.
I will have nothing to do with evil.
5 I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor.
I won't tolerate one who is haughty and conceited.
6 My eyes will be on the faithful of the land,
That they may dwell with me.
He who walks in a perfect way, He will serve me.
7 He who practices deceit won't dwell within my house.
He who speaks falsehood won't be established before my eyes.
8 Morning by morning, I will destroy all the wicked of the land;
To cut off all the workers of iniquity from the LORD's city.
PSALMS: 131
1 LORD, my heart isn't haughty, nor my eyes lofty;
Neither do I concern myself with great matters,
Or things too wonderful for me.
2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul,
Like a weaned child with his mother,
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3 Yisra'el, hope in the LORD,
From this time forth and forevermore.
PROVERBS: 11
1 A false balance is an abomination to the LORD,
But accurate weights are his delight.
2 When pride comes, then comes shame,
But with humility comes wisdom.
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them,
But the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.
4 Riches don't profit in the day of wrath,
But righteousness delivers from death.
5 The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way,
But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them,
But the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.
7 When a wicked man dies, hope perishes,
And expectation of power comes to nothing.
8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble,
And the wicked takes his place.
9 With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor,
But the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.
10 When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices.
When the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted,
But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 One who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom,
But a man of understanding holds his shalom.
13 One who brings gossip betrays a confidence,
But one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret.
14 Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls,
But in the multitude of counselors there is victory.
15 He who is collateral for a stranger will suffer for it,
But he who refuses pledges of collateral is secure.
16 A gracious woman obtains honor,
But violent men obtain riches.
17 The merciful man does good to his own soul,
But he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.
18 The wicked earns deceitful wages,
But he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
19 He who is truly righteous gets life.
He who pursues evil gets death.
20 Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to the LORD,
But those whose ways are blameless are his delight.
21 Most assuredly, the evil man will not be unpunished,
But the seed of the righteous will be delivered.
22 Like a gold ring in a pig's snout,
Is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.
23 The desire of the righteous is only good.
The expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 There is one who scatters, and increases yet more.
There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat.
He who waters shall be watered also himself.
26 He who withholds grain, the people will curse him,
But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.
27 He who diligently seeks good seeks favor,
But he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.
28 He who trusts in his riches will fall,
But the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.
29 He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind.
The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.
He who is wise wins souls.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be repaid in the eretz;
How much more the wicked and the sinner!
OLD TESTAMENT: DEUTERONOMY 21:1 - 22:30
21:1 If one be found slain in the land which the LORD your God gives you to possess it, lying in the field, and it isn't known who has struck him; 2 then your Zakenim and your judges shall come forth, and they shall measure to the cities which are round about him who is slain: 3 and it shall be, that the city which is nearest to the slain man, even the Zakenim of that city shall take a heifer of the herd, which hasn't been worked with, and which has not drawn in the yoke; 4 and the Zakenim of that city shall bring down the heifer to a valley with running water, which is neither plowed nor sown, and shall break the heifer's neck there in the valley. 5 The Kohanim the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD your God has chosen to minister to him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and according to their word shall every controversy and every stroke be. 6 All the Zakenim of that city, who are nearest to the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley; 7 and they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it. 8 Forgive, the LORD, your people Yisra'el, whom you have redeemed, and don't allow innocent blood [to remain] in the midst of your people Yisra'el. The blood shall be forgiven them. 9 So shall you put away the innocent blood from the midst of you, when you shall do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD. 10 When you go forth to battle against your enemies, and the LORD your God delivers them into your hands, and you carry them away captive, 11 and see among the captives a beautiful woman, and you have a desire to her, and would take her to you as wife; 12 then you shall bring her home to your house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails; 13 and she shall put the clothing of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in your house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that you shall go in to her, and be her husband, and she shall be your wife. 14 It shall be, if you have no delight in her, then you shall let her go where she will; but you shall not sell her at all for money, you shall not deal with her as a slave, because you have humbled her. 15 If a man have two wives, the one beloved, and the other hated, and they have borne him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers who was hated; 16 then it shall be, in the day that he causes his sons to inherit that which he has, that he may not make the son of the beloved the firstborn before the son of the hated, who is the firstborn: 17 but he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the hated, by giving him a double portion of all that he has; for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his. 18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, who will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and, though they chasten him, will not listen to them; 19 then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out to the Zakenim of his city, and to the gate of his place; 20 and they shall tell the Zakenim of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. 21 All the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you; and all Yisra'el shall hear, and fear. 22 If a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be put to death, and you hang him on a tree; 23 his body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall surely bury him the same day; for he who is hanged is accursed of God; that you don't defile your land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.
22:1 You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely bring them again to your brother. 2 If your brother isn't near to you, or if you don't know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall be with you until your brother seek after it, and you shall restore it to him. 3 So shall you do with his donkey; and so shall you do with his garment; and so shall you do with every lost thing of your brother's, which he has lost, and you have found: you may not hide yourself. 4 You shall not see your brother's donkey or his ox fallen down by the way, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely help him to lift them up again. 5 A woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God. 6 If a bird's nest chance to be before you in the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the hen sitting on the young, or on the eggs, you shall not take the hen with the young: 7 you shall surely let the hen go, but the young you may take to yourself; that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days. 8 When you build a new house, then you shall make a battlement for your roof, that you don't bring blood on your house, if any man fall from there. 9 You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole fruit be forfeited, the seed which you have sown, and the increase of the vineyard. 10 You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together. 11 You shall not wear a mixed stuff, wool and linen together. 12 You shall make you tzitziyot on the four borders of your cloak, with which you cover yourself. 13 If any man take a wife, and go in to her, and hate her, 14 and lay shameful things to her charge, and bring up an evil name on her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I didn't find in her the tokens of virginity; 15 then shall the father of the young lady, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the young lady's virginity to the Zakenim of the city in the gate; 16 and the young lady's father shall tell the Zakenim, I gave my daughter to this man to wife, and he hates her; 17 and, behold, he has laid shameful things [to her charge], saying, I didn't find in your daughter the tokens of virginity; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. They shall spread the garment before the Zakenim of the city. 18 The Zakenim of that city shall take the man and chastise him; 19 and they shall fine him one hundred [shekels] of silver, and give them to the father of the young lady, because he has brought up an evil name on a virgin of Yisra'el: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days. 20 But if this thing be true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the young lady; 21 then they shall bring out the young lady to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Yisra'el, to play the prostitute in her father's house: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you. 22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman: so shall you put away the evil from Yisra'el. 23 If there be a young lady who is a virgin pledged to be married to a husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; 24 then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones; the lady, because she didn't cry, being in the city; and the man, because he has humbled his neighbor's wife: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you. 25 But if the man find the lady who is pledged to be married in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her; then the man only who lay with her shall die: 26 but to the lady you shall do nothing; there is in the lady no sin worthy of death: for as when a man rises against his neighbor, and kills him, even so is this matter; 27 for he found her in the field, the pledged to be married lady cried, and there was none to save her. 28 If a man find a lady who is a virgin, who is not pledged to be married, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29 then the man who lay with her shall give to the lady's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has humbled her; he may not put her away all his days. 30 A man shall not take his father's wife, and shall not uncover his father's skirt.
NEW TESTAMENT: LUKE 9:51 - 10:12
9:51 It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Yerushalayim, 52 and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Shomroni, so as to prepare for him. 53 They didn't receive him, because he was traveling with his face set towards Yerushalayim. 54 When his talmidim, Ya`akov and Yochanan, saw this, they said, "Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Eliyah did?" 55 But he turned and rebuked them, "You don't know what kind of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man didn't come to destroy men's lives, but to save them." They went to another village. 57 As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, "I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord." 58 Yeshua said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." 59 He said to another, "Follow me!" But he said, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father."60 But Yeshua said to him, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce the kingdom of God." 61 Another also said, "I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to bid farewell to those who are at my house." 62 But Yeshua said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
10:1 Now after these things the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two before his face into every city and place, where he himself was about to come. 2 Then he said to them, "The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest. 3 Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. 4 Carry no purse, nor wallet, nor sandals. Greet no one on the way. 5 Into whatever house you enter, first say, 'Shalom be to this house.' 6 If a son of shalom is there, your shalom will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. 7 Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don't go from house to house. 8 Into whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat the things that are set before you. 9 Heal the sick who are therein, and tell them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.' 10 But into whatever city you enter, and they don't receive you, go out into the streets of it and say, 11 'Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you.' 12 I tell you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sedom than for that city.

1 אשיר חסד ומשפט. לך ה' אזמר.
2 אשמור לחיות חיים תמימים. מתי תבוא אלי? אלך בביתי בלב תמים.
3 לא אשים דבר נבלה לנגד עיני. אני שונא מעשי כופרים. לא ידבקו בי.
4 לב מעוות ירחק ממני. לא יהיה לי קשר לרע.
5 אשתיק את כל אשר יגבה רעהו בסתר. לא אסבול יהיר ויהיר.
6 עיני יהיו על נאמני הארץ,
למען ישכנו עמי. ההולך בדרך תמימה, הוא יעבודני. 7 לא ישב מרמה בביתי. דובר שקר לא יקום לעיני.
8 בוקר בבוקר אשמיד את כל רשעי הארץ;
לכרות את כל פועלי עוולות מעיר ה'.

1 ה', לא גבה לבי, ולא גאות עיניי;
ולא אכפה דברים גדולים,

2 אם כן השקיטתי והשקטתי את נפשי,

והצדיק ינצל באמצעות דעת.
10 בטוב לצדיקים, תשמח העיר.
באבדי רשעים, תרועה.
11 בברכת ישרים תרומם עיר,
ובפי רשעים תיפגע.
12 בוז לרעך חסר חוכמה,
ואיש בינה ישמור שלום.
13 רכיל יבגוד סוד,
ואיש רוח נאמן שומר סוד.
14 באין הדרכה חכמה נופלת אומה,
וברב יועצים ישועה.
15 ערבון לזר יסבול,
ומסרב ערבונות בטוח.
16 אישה חננה תזכה לכבוד,
ואנשי אלים יקבלו עושר.
17 איש רחום יעשה טוב לנפשו,
ואכזר ירעיל בשרו.
18 רשע ירוויח שכר מרמה,
והזורע צדק קוצר שכר בטוח.
19 צדיק באמת יחיה. רודף רע מות.
20 עוקצי לב תועבת ה',
ואלו שתמים דרכיו חפצו.
21 אכן, איש רע לא יינקה,
וזרע צדיקים ינצל.
22 כטבעת זהב בחוטם חזיר,
אשה יפה חסרת שכל.
23 תשוקת צדיק היא רק טובה.
ציפיית רשעים היא זעם.

כסיל יהיה עבד לחכמי לב.

הברית הישנה: דברים כא:א - כב:ל
כא:א כי יימצא הרוג בארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך נותן לך לרשתה, שוכב בשדה, ולא נודע מי הכה אותו; ב ויצאו זקניך ושפטיך, ומדו עד הערים אשר סביבות ההרוג. ג והיה העיר הקרובה להרוג, זקני העיר ההיא, יקחו עגלה מן הבקר אשר לא עבדה בה, ואשר לא משכה בעול. ד והורידו זקני העיר ההיא את העגלה אל עמק מים זורמים אשר לא חרשו ולא נזרעו, ושברו שם את עורף העגלה. ה ה ויגשו הכהנים בני לוי כי בם בחר יהוה אלהיך לשרתו ולברך בשם יהוה; וְכַדְּבָרָם יִהְיֶה כָּל-מִתְעַל וְכָל-מַכָּה. וְכָל-זְקֵנֵי הָעִיר הַהוּא, הַקָּרוֹבִים אֶל-הַהֲרֹבִים לְהַרְגָּלָה, יִרְחַצוּ אֶת-כָּפָם עַל-הַפֶּרָה אֲשֶׁר-נִשְׁבְּרָה בַּגָּעָה. ז וְעָנוּ וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֹא-שָׁפְכוּ יְדֵינוּ אֲשֶׁר-גָּדַל אֹתוֹ. ח סַלַח ה' לְעַמְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר-נִקִּים אַל-תָּשָׁר בְּקִרְבֵי עַמְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל. הַדָּם יִמְסַל לָהֶם. ט וְהַסְתַּחַת אֶת-דָּם-נִקִּים מִקִּרְבֶּךָ, כִּי-תַּעֲשֶׂה הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי ה'. יִצְאָתָךְ לַמִּלְחָמָה עַל-אֹיְבֶךָ, וּנְתַנָּם ה' אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּיָדֶךָ, וְשָׁבְתָּם. יא וְרָאָה בֵּין-הַשְׁבִּים אִשָּׁה יַפָּה, וְחָפַצְתָּ אֵלֶיהָ וְקַחְתָּהָ לָךְ לְאִשָּׁה. 12 וְהִבְאִתָּהָ הַבָּתֵךְ וְגַלְחָה אֶת-רֹאשָׁה וְגַלְחָה צַפְרֶיהָ וְהִסְתִּיר אֶת-בְּגִידַתָּה מִמֶּנָּה וְשָׁבָה בֵּיתֶךָ וְתִבַּדֶּה לְאֶבְיָהּ וְאֶת-אֶמֶת חֹדֶשׁ וְהָיִיתָ לָהּ לְאֵשׁ וְהִיתָהּ לְךָ לְאִשָּׁה וְהָיָה אִם-אֵין-חָפְצֶה בָּהּ וְשַׁלַּחְתָּהּ לְאֶת-כֶּסֶף וְלֹא-תְמַכֵּר אֶת-עֲבֹדָהּ כִּי-עֲבֹתֶיהָ וְהָיְתָהּ שְׁפַחַתָּהּ וְהָיְתָהּ שְׁפַחַתָּהּ וְהָיְלָדוּ לוֹ שְׁתֵּי נָשִׁים אֶחָד אַהֲבֹתָה וְאֶחָד שְׁנֹאָה וְהֵן יָלַדוּ לוֹ שְׁנֹאָה וְהָבָרָה ... יִלָּדוּ לוֹ שְׁנֹאָה וְהָבָר הַבָּכוֹר הַשְּׁנֹאָה יִהְיֶה לָהּ׃ טז והיה ביום אשר ירשת את בניו את אשר לו, לא יתן את בן האהובה לבכור לפני בן השנואה שהוא הבכור. יז והכיר בבכור בן השנואה לתת לו חלק כפול מכל אשר לו, כי ראשית כוחו הוא, זכות הבכור לו. יח אם יהיה לאיש בן עקשן ומורר, אשר לא ישמע בקול אביו ובקול אמו, וגם אם יסרנו אותו, לא ישמעו להם. יט ויתפסו בו אביו ואמו, והוציאו אותו אל זקני עירו ואל שער מקומו. 20 ואמרו לזקני עירו, זה בננו עקשן ומורר, לא ישמע בקולנו, זללן ושיכור הוא. 21 וכל אנשי עירו רגמו אותו באבנים עד מוות. ובערת את הרע מקרבך, ושמע כל ישראל ויירא. 22 כי עשה איש חטאת מיתה, והותת ותלית אותו על עץ, 23 לא ילון גופתו על העץ, כי קברת אותו ביום ההוא, כי ארור הוא התלוי, פן תטמא את אדמתך אשר ה' אלהיך נותן לך נחלה.
כב:א לא תראה את שור אחיך או את צאנו תועים ותחבא מהם השיב תשיבם אל אחיך. ב אם לא יהיה אחיך קרוב אליך או לא ידעת אותו והבאת אותו הביתה לביתך והיה עמך עד אשר יבקש אותו אחיך והשבת אותו לו. ג כן תעשה לחמורו וכן תעשה לבגדו וכן תעשה לכל אבידה אחיך אשר אבד ומצאת לא תוכל להחבא. ד לא תראה את חמור אחיך או את שור אחיך נופלים בדרך ותחבא מהם השיב תשיבם. ה לא תלבש אשה את אשר לאיש ולא ילבש איש בגד אשה כי תועבת יהוה אלה כל העושה את אלה ו אם יתקל קן ציפור לפניך בדרך, בכל עץ או על הארץ, עם גוזלים או ביצים, ותרנגולת יושבת על הגוזלים או על הביצים, לא תיקח את התרנגולת עם הגוזלים. ז שלח תשלח את התרנגולת, ואת הגוזלים תיקח לך; למען ייטב לך, ועבור האריכת ימים. ח בכי תבנה בית חדש, ועשית חופה לגגך, ולא תביא דם בביתך, אם ייפול איש משם. ט לא תזרע את כרמך שני זרעים, פן יאבד כל הפריה, הזרע אשר זרעת ותבואת הכרם. י לא תחרוש בשור ובחמור יחד. יא לא תלבש ערב, צמר ופשת יחד. יב ציצית תעשה לך על ארבע כפות מעילך, אשר תכסה בהם. 13 כי יקח איש אשה ובא אליה ושנא אותה, 14 והטיל עליה חרפות והוציא עליה שם רע, ואמר לקחתי את האישה הזאת, וכקרבתי אליה ולא מצאתי בה את-בתולים; 15 ולקח אבי הנערה ואמה והוציא את-את-בתולים של הנערה אל-זקני העיר בשער; 16 ואמר אבי הנערה לזקני העיר נתתי את-בתי לאיש הזה לאשה, והוא שונא אותה; 17 והנה הטיל עליה חרפות לאמר לא מצאתי בבתכם את-בתולים, ואלה את-בתולים של בתי. ופרשו את-הבגד לפני זקני העיר. יח יקחו זקני העיר ההיא את האיש ויסרנו; יט ויקנוהו מאה שקלים כסף ויתנו לאבי הנערה כי הוציא שם רע על בתול ישראל והיא תהיה לו לאשה ולא יוכל לגרשה כל ימיו. 20 ואם אמת הדבר הזה כי לא נמצאו סימני בתולים בנערה; 21 והוציאו את הנערה אל פתח בית אביה ורגמו אותה אנשי עירה באבנים ימותו כי עשתה נבלה בישראל לזנות בבית אביה ובערת הרע מקרבך. 22 כי יימצא איש שוכב עם אשה נשואה לאיש ומתו שניהם האיש אשר שוכב עם האישה והאשה ובערת הרע מישראל. 23 אם תהיה עלמה בתולה מאושרת לאיש, ומצאה איש בעיר ושכב עמה, 24 והוצאת את שניהם אל שער העיר ההיא וסקלת אותם באבנים עד מות; את הגברת, כי לא בכתה בהיותה בעיר; ואת האיש, כי ענה את אשת רעהו; ובערת את הרע מקרבך. 25 ואם ימצא האיש את הארוסה בשדה, והאיש יכנע אותה ושכב עמה, וימות האיש אשר שכב עמה לבדו. 26 ולגברת לא תעשה דבר, אין בגברת חטאת מוות: כי כאשר יקם איש על רעהו והרג אותו, כן הדבר הזה. 27 כי מצאה בשדה, והארוסה צעקה, ואין מושיע לה. 28 אם ימצא איש אישה בתולה אשר לא חתונה, ותפס אותה ושכב עמה ונמצאו, 29 ונתן האיש אשר שכב עמה לאבי האישה חמישים שקלים כסף, והיא תהיה לו לאשה, כי ענה אותה; לא יוכל לשלחה כל ימיו. 30 לא ייקח איש את אשת אביו, ואת כנפי אביו לא יגלה.
הברית החדשה: לוקס ט':51 - י':12
ט':51 ויהי, כאשר קרבו ימי העלייתו, כיוון את פניו ללכת לירושלים, 52 ושלח מלאכים לפניו. הם הלכו, ונכנסו לכפר שומרוני, כדי להכין לו. 53 הם לא קיבלו אותו, כי הוא היה בדרכו ופניו לירושלים. 54 כאשר ראו זאת תלמידיו יעקב ויוחנן, אמרו: "אדוני, האם אתה רוצה שנצוה שאש תרד מן השמים ותשחית אותם, כשם שעשה אליה?" 55 אבל הוא פנה וגער בהם ואמר: "אינכם יודעים איזה רוח אתם. 56 כי בן האדם לא בא להשמיד את נפשות בני האדם, אלא להושיעם." הם הלכו לכפר אחר. 57 בהלכו בדרך, אמר לו אדם אחד: "אני רוצה ללכת אחריך לכל אשר תלך, אדוני." 58 אמר לו ישוע: "לשועלים יש מאורות, ולציפורי השמים יש קינים, אבל לבן האדם אין מקום להניח את ראשו." 59 אמר לאחר: "לך אחרי!" אך הוא אמר: "אדוני, הרשה לי קודם ללכת ולקבור את אבי." 60 אמר לו ישוע: "הנח למתים לקבור את מתיהם, אבל לך אתה ובשרה את מלכות האלוהים." 61 גם אחר אמר: "אני רוצה ללכת אחריך, אדוני, אבל תחילה הרשה לי להיפרד מאלה שבביתי." 62 אמר לו ישוע: "איש ששם ידו במחרשה ומביט לאחור אינו ראוי למלכות האלוהים." 10:1 אחרי הדברים האלה מינה האדון גם שבעים אחרים, ושלח אותם שניים לפניו לכל עיר ומקום, אשר עמד לבוא שמה. 2 ויאמר להם, "הקציר אמנם רב, אך הפועלים מעטים. התפללו לכן לאדון הקציר, שישלח פועלים לקצירו. 3 לכו לדרככם. הנה, אני שולח אתכם כצאן בתוך זאבים. 4 אל תישאו ארנק, לא ארנק, ולא סנדלים. אל תברכו איש בדרך. 5 אל כל בית אשר תכנסו אליו, אמרו תחילה, 'שלום לבית הזה'. 6 אם יהיה שם בן שלום, שלוםכם ינוח עליו; ואם לא, הוא ישוב אליכם. 7 הישארו באותו בית, אכלו ושתו את מה שהם נותנים, כי ראוי הפועל לשכרו. אל תעברו מבית לבית. 8 בכל עיר שתכנסו אליה והם מקבלים אתכם, אכלו את מה שמוגש לפניכם. 9 רפאו את החולים אשר בה, ואמרו להם: 'מלכות האלוהים קרובה אליכם'. 10 אבל בכל עיר שתכנסו אליה ולא מקבלים אתכם, צאו לרחובותיה ואמרו: 11 'אפילו את האבק שדבק בנו מעירכם, אנו מנגבים מפניכם. אף דעו זאת, שמלכות האלוהים קרובה אליכם'. 12 אני אומר לכם, יהיה נסבל יותר ביום ההוא לסדום מאשר לעיר ההיא.
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
