PSALMS: 14
1 The fool has said in his heart,
"There is no God.
" They are corrupt, they have done abominable works.
There is none who does good.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men,
To see if there were any who did understand,
Who did seek after God.
3 They have all gone aside;
they have together become corrupt.
There is none who does good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And don't call on the LORD?
5 There were they in great fear,
For God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 You put to shame the counsel of the poor,
Because the LORD is his refuge.
7 Oh that the yeshu`ah of Yisra'el would come out of Tziyon!
When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people,
Then Ya`akov shall rejoice, and Yisra'el shall be glad.
PSALMS: 44
1 We have heard with our ears,
God; Our fathers have told us,
What work you did in their days,
In the days of old.
2 You drove out the nations with your hand,
But you planted them.
You afflicted the peoples,
But you spread them abroad.
3 For they didn't get the land in possession by their own sword,
Neither did their own arm save them;
But your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your face,
Because you were favorable to them.
4 You are my King, God.
Command victories for Ya`akov!
5 Through you, will we push down our adversaries.
Through your name, will we tread them under who rise up against us.
6 For I will not trust in my bow,
Neither shall my sword save me.
7 But you have saved us from our adversaries,
And have put them to shame who hate us.
8 In God have we made our boast all day long,
We will give thanks to your name forever. Selah.
9 But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor,
And don't go out with our armies.
10 You make us turn back from the adversary.
Those who hate us take spoil for themselves.
11 You have made us like sheep for food,
And have scattered us among the nations.
12You sell your people for nothing,
And have gained nothing from their sale.
13 You make us a reproach to our neighbors,
A scoffing and a derision to those who are round about us.
14 You make us a byword among the nations,
A shaking of the head among the peoples.
15 All day long is my dishonor before me,
And shame covers my face,
16 At the taunt of one who reproaches and reviles,
Because of the enemy and the avenger.
17 All this has come on us,
Yet have we not forgotten you,
Neither have we been false to your covenant.
18 Our heart has not turned back,
Neither have our steps declined from your way,
19 That you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals,
And covered us with the shadow of death.
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God,
Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;
21 Won't God search this out?
For he knows the secrets of the heart.
22 Yes, for your sake are we killed all day long.
We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.
23 Wake up!
Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise!
Don't reject us forever.
24 Why do you hide your face,
And forget our affliction and our oppression?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust.
Our body cleaves to the eretz.
26 Rise up to help us.
Redeem us for your loving kindness' sake.
PSALMS: 74
1 God, why have you rejected us forever?
Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
2 Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old,
Which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance;
Mount Tziyon, in which you have lived.
3 Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins,
All the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
4 Your adversaries have roared in the midst of your assembly.
They have set up their standards as signs.
5 They behaved like men wielding axes,
Cutting through a thicket of trees.
6 Now all its carved work
They break down with hatchet and hammers.
7 They have burned your sanctuary to the ground.
They have profaned the dwelling-place of your Name.
8 They said in their heart,
"We will crush them completely.
" They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.
9 We see no miraculous signs.
There is no longer any prophet,
Neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.
10 How long, God, shall the adversary reproach?
Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?
11 Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand?
Take it out of your pocket and consume them!
12 Yet God is my King of old,
Working salvation in the midst of the eretz.
13 You divided the sea by your strength.
You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.
14 You broke the heads of Livyatan in pieces.
You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.
15 You opened up spring and stream.
You dried up mighty rivers.
16 The day is yours, the night is also yours.
You have prepared the light and the sun.
17 You have set all the boundaries of the eretz.
You have made summer and winter.
18 Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, LORD.
Foolish people have blasphemed your name.
19 Don't deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts.
Don't forget the life of your poor forever.
20 Honor your covenant,
For haunts of violence fill the dark places of the eretz.
21 Don't let the oppressed return ashamed.
Let the poor and needy praise your name.
22 Arise, God! Plead your own cause.
Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day.
23 Don't forget the voice of your adversaries.
The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.
PSALMS: 104
1 Bless the LORD, my soul.
The LORD, my God, you are very great.
You are clothed with honor and majesty.
2 He covers himself with light as with a garment.
He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
3 He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters.
He makes the clouds his chariot.
He walks on the wings of the wind.
4He makes his messengers winds;
His servants flames of fire.
5 He laid the foundations of the eretz,
That it should not be moved forever.
6 You covered it with the deep as with a cloak.
The waters stood above the mountains.
7 At your rebuke they fled.
At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
8 The mountains rose,
The valleys sank down,
To the place which you had assigned to them.
9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over;
That they don't turn again to cover the eretz.
10 He sends forth springs into the valleys.
They run among the mountains.
11 They give drink to every animal of the field.
The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12 The birds of the sky nest by them.
They sing among the branches.
13 He waters the mountains from his chambers.
The eretz is filled with the fruit of your works.
14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,
And plants for man to cultivate,
That he may bring forth food out of the eretz:
15Wine that makes glad the heart of man,
Oil to make his face to shine,
And bread that strengthens man's heart.
16 The LORD's trees are well watered,
The cedars of Levanon, which he has planted;
17 Where the birds make their nests.
The stork makes its home in the fir trees.
18 The high mountains are for the wild goats.
The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19 He appointed the moon for seasons.
The sun knows when to set.
20 You make darkness, and it is night,
In which all the animals of the forest prowl.
21 The young lions roar after their prey,
And seek their food from God.
22 The sun rises, and they steal away,
And lay down in their dens.
23 Man goes forth to his work,
To his labor until the evening.
24 The LORD, how many are your works!
In wisdom have you made them all.
The eretz is full of your riches.
25 There is the sea, great and wide,
In which are innumerable living things,
Both small and great animals.
26 There the ships go,
And livyatan, whom you formed to play there.
27 These all wait for you,
That you may give them their food in due season.
28 You give to them; they gather.
You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
29 You hide your face: they are troubled;
You take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.
30 You send forth your Spirit: they are created.
You renew the face of the ground.
31 Let the glory of the LORD endure forever.
Let the LORD rejoice in his works.
32 He looks at the eretz, and it trembles.
He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live.
I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
34 Let your meditation be sweet to him.
I will rejoice in the LORD.
35 Let sinners be consumed out of the eretz.
Let the wicked be no more.
Bless the LORD, my soul.

1 Look! Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD,
Who stand by night in the LORD's house!
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary.
Praise the LORD!
3 May the LORD bless you from Tziyon;
Even he who made heaven and eretz.
PROVERBS: 14
1 Every wise woman builds her house,
But the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.
2 He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD,
But he who is perverse in his ways despises him.
3 The fool's talk brings a rod to his back,
But the lips of the wise protect them.
4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean,
But much increase is by the strength of the ox.
5 A truthful witness will not lie,
But a false witness pours out lies.
6 A scoffer seeks wisdom, and doesn't find it,
But knowledge comes easily to a discerning person.
7 Stay away from a foolish man,
For you won't find knowledge on his lips.
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to think about his way,
But the folly of fools is deceit.
9 Fools mock at making atonement for sins,
But among the upright there is good will.
10 The heart knows its own bitterness and joy;
He will not share these with a stranger.
11 The house of the wicked will be overthrown,
But the tent of the upright will flourish.
12There is a way which seems right to a man,
But in the end it leads to death.
13 Even in laughter the heart may be sorrowful,
And mirth may end in heaviness.
14 The unfaithful will be repaid for his own ways;
Likewise a good man will be rewarded for his ways.
15 The simple believes everything,
But the prudent man carefully considers his ways.
16 A wise man fears, and shuns evil,
But the fool is hotheaded and reckless.
17 He who is quick to become angry will commit folly,
And a crafty man is hated.
18 The simple inherit folly,
But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19 The evil bow down before the good,
And the wicked, at the gates of the righteous.
20 The poor person is shunned even by his own neighbor,
But the rich person has many friends.
21 He who despises his neighbor sins,
But blessed is he who has pity on the poor.
22 Don't they go astray who plot evil?
But love and faithfulness belong to those who plan good.
23 In all hard work there is profit,
But the talk of the lips leads only to poverty.
24 The crown of the wise is their riches,
But the folly of fools crowns them with folly.
25 A truthful witness saves souls,
But a false witness is deceitful.
26 In the fear of the LORD is a secure fortress,
And he will be a refuge for his children.
27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life,
Turning people from the snares of death.
28 In the multitude of people is the king's glory,
But in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.
29 He who is slow to anger has great understanding,
But he who has a quick temper displays folly.
30 The life of the body is a heart at shalom,
But envy rots the bones.
31 He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker,
But he who is kind to the needy honors him.
32 The wicked is brought down in his calamity,
But in death, the righteous has a refuge.
33 Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding,
And is even made known in the inward part of fools.
34 Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a disgrace to any people.
35 The king's favor is toward a servant who deals wisely,
But his wrath is toward one who causes shame.
33 When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
OLD TESTAMENT: DEUTERONOMY 28:1 - 68
1 It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all his mitzvot which I command you this day, who the LORD your God will set you on high above all the nations of the eretz:
2 and all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of the LORD your God.
3 Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your animals, the increase of your cattle, and the young of your flock.
5 Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading-trough.
6 Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
7 The LORD will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be struck before you: they shall come out against you one way, and shall flee before you seven ways.
8 The LORD will command the blessing on you in your barns, and in all that you put your hand to; and he will bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
9 The LORD will establish you for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you; if you shall keep the mitzvot of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways.
10 All the peoples of the eretz shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of you.
11 The LORD will make you plenteous for good, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.
12 The LORD will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand: and you shall lend to many nations, and you shall not borrow.
13 The LORD will make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if you shall listen to the mitzvot of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do [them],
14 and shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all his mitzvot and his statutes which I command you this day, that all these curses shall come on you, and overtake you.
16 Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading-trough.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your cattle, and the young of your flock.
19 Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.
20 The LORD will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke, in all that you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed, and until you perish quickly; because of the evil of your doings, whereby you have forsaken me.
21 The LORD will make the pestilence cleave to you, until he have consumed you from off the land, where you go in to possess it.
22 The LORD will strike you with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with fiery heat, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish.
23 Your sky that is over your head shall be brass, and the eretz that is under you shall be iron.
24 The LORD will make the rain of your land powder and dust: from the sky shall it come down on you, until you are destroyed.
25 The LORD will cause you to be struck before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them, and shall flee seven ways before them: and you shall be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the eretz.
26 Your dead body shall be food to all birds of the sky, and to the animals of the eretz; and there shall be none to frighten them away.
27 The LORD will strike you with the boil of Mitzrayim, and with the tumors, and with the scurvy, and with the itch, whereof you can not be healed.
28 The LORD will strike you with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment of heart;
29 and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and robbed always, and there shall be none to save you.
30 You shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: you shall build a house, and you shall not dwell therein: you shall plant a vineyard, and shall not use the fruit of it.
31 Your ox shall be slain before your eyes, and you shall not eat of it: your donkey shall be violently taken away from before your face, and shall not be restored to you: your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you shall have none to save you.
32 Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people; and your eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day: and there shall be nothing in the power of your hand.
33 The fruit of your ground, and all your labors, shall a nation which you don't know eat up; and you shall be only oppressed and crushed always;
34 so that you shall be mad for the sight of your eyes which you shall see.
35 The LORD will strike you in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore boil, whereof you can not be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.
36 The LORD will bring you, and your king whom you shall set over you, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers; and there shall you serve other gods, wood and stone.
37 You shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples where the LORD shall lead you away.
38 You shall carry much seed out into the field, and shall gather little in; for the arbeh shall consume it.
39 You shall plant vineyards and dress them, but you shall neither drink of the wine, nor gather [the grapes]; for the worm shall eat them.
40 You shall have olive trees throughout all your borders, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil; for your olive shall cast [its fruit].
41 You shall father sons and daughters, but they shall not be yours; for they shall go into captivity.
42 All your trees and the fruit of your ground shall the arbeh possess.
43 The sojourner who is in the midst of you shall mount up above you higher and higher; and you shall come down lower and lower.
44 He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
45 All these curses shall come on you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, until you are destroyed; because you didn't listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his mitzvot and his statutes which he commanded you:
46 and they shall be on you for a sign and for a wonder, and on your seed forever.
47 Because you didn't serve the LORD your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;
48 therefore shall you serve your enemies whom the LORD shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron on your neck, until he have destroyed you.
49 The LORD will bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the eretz, as the eagle flies; a nation whose language you shall not understand;
50 a nation of fierce facial expressions, that shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young,
51 and shall eat the fruit of your cattle, and the fruit of your ground, until you are destroyed; that also shall not leave you grain, new wine, or oil, the increase of your cattle, or the young of your flock, until they have caused you to perish.
52 They shall besiege you in all your gates, until your high and fortified walls come down, in which you trusted, throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which the LORD your God has given you.
53 You shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, whom the LORD your God has given you, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemies shall distress you.
54 The man who is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children whom he has remaining;
55so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat, because he has nothing left him, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in all your gates.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, who would not adventure to set the sole of her foot on the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57 and toward her young one who comes out from between her feet, and toward her children whom she shall bear; for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in your gates.
58 If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD YOUR GOD;
59 then the LORD will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60 He will bring on you again all the diseases of Mitzrayim, which you were afraid of; and they shall cleave to you.
61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring on you, until you are destroyed.
62 You shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of the sky for multitude; because you didn't listen to the voice of the LORD your God.
63 It shall happen that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so the LORD will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you; and you shall be plucked from off the land where you go in to possess it.
64 The LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from the one end of the eretz even to the other end of the eretz; and there you shall serve other gods, which you have not known, you nor your fathers, even wood and stone.
65 Among these nations shall you find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of your foot: but the LORD will give you there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and pining of soul;
66 and your life shall hang in doubt before you; and you shall fear night and day, and shall have no assurance of your life.
67 In the morning you shall say, Would it were even! and at even you shall say, Would it were morning! for the fear of your heart which you shall fear, and for the sight of your eyes which you shall see.
68 The LORD will bring you into Mitzrayim again with ships, by the way whereof I said to you, You shall see it no more again: and there you shall sell yourselves to your enemies for bondservants and for bondmaids, and no man shall buy you.
NEW TESTAMENT: LUKE 11:14 - 36
11:14 He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. It happened, when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the multitudes marveled.
15 But some of them said, "He casts out demons by Ba`al-Zibbul, the prince of the demons."
16 Others, testing him, sought from him a sign from heaven.
17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against itself falls.
18If Hasatan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say that I cast out demons by Ba`al-Zibbul.
19 But if I cast out demons by Ba`al-Zibbul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore will they be your judges.
20 But if I by the finger of God cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you.
21 "When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.
22 But when someone stronger comes on him, and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.
23 "He that is not with me is against me. He who doesn't gather with me scatters.
24 The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the man, passes through dry places, seeking rest, and finding none, he says, 'I will turn back to my house whence I came out.'
25 When he returns, he finds it swept and put in order.
26 Then he goes, and takes seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first."
27 It came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the multitude lifted up her voice, and said to him, "Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts which nursed you!"
28 But he said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it."
29 When the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say, "This is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Yonah, the prophet.
30 For even as Yonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will also the Son of Man be to this generation.
31 The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and will condemn them: for she came from the ends of the eretz to hear the wisdom of Shlomo; and behold, one greater than Shlomo is here.
32 The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Yonah, and behold, one greater than Yonah is here.
33 "No man, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar, nor under a basket, but on a stand, that they which enter in may see the light.
34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness.
35 Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn't darkness.
36 If therefore your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining gives you light."

הם משחיתים, הם עשו מעשים תועבים.
אין עושה טוב.
2' ה' הביט מן השמים על בני האדם,
לראות אם יש מבין,
מי מבקש את אלהים.
3'כולם סטו;
יחד השחיתו.
אין עושה טוב, אפילו לא אחד. 4 הכל עושי עוולה לא ידעו,
האוכלים את עמי כאוכל לחם,
ואל ה' לא יקראו?
5 שם פחדו מאוד,
כי אלהים בדור צדיקים.
6 תבייש עצה עניים,
כי ה' מחסו.
7 מי ייתן ויצא ישוע ישראל מציון!
בהשיב ה' שבת עמו,
אז ישמח יעקב וישראל ישמח.

1 באוזנינו שמענו,
אלוהים; אבותינו סיפרו לנו,
מה מעשה עשית בימם,
בימי קדם.
2 בידך גויים גירשת,
ואתה שתלתם.
עונים עמים עניתם,

3 כי לא בחרבם ירשו את הארץ,
וגם זרועם לא הושיעה אותם;

שונאינו שללו לעצמם.
11 העמדת אותנו כצאן למאכל,
ותפיזרת אותנו בגויים.
12את עמך מוכרת ללא תמורה,
ולא הרווחת ממכירתם דבר.
13 העמדת אותנו לחרפה לשכנינו,
ללעג ולקללה לסובבים אותנו.
14 העמדת אותנו למילים בגויים,
לנענע ראש בעמים.
15 כל היום חרפתי לפני,
ובושה מכסה פני,

בגלל אויב וגומלן.
17 כל זאת בא עלינו,
ולא שכחנו אותך,
ולא בכרנו בבריתך.

19 אֲשֶׁר רָצְצְתָּנוּ בְּמַעֲבֹת תִנִים,
וְכִיסְתָּנוּ בְּצֶל מָוֶת.
20 אם שכחנו שם אלוהינו,
ואף אִם פְּרַשְׁט יָדֵינוּ אֶל־אֵל נָכָר;
21 הֲלֹא יַחֲקֹר זֹאת?
כִּי יוֹדֵעַ רְזוֹת לֵב.
22 גַּם, לְמַעֲבָדֶךָ נִמְגָּר כָּל־הַיּוֹם.

וְשְׁכַח עַנְיָנוּ וְצַקֵּנוּ?
25 כִּי שְׁפוּנָה עָפָר נִשְׁפָּחָה,
גוּפֵנוּ דָּבַק אֶל־אֶרֶץ.

1 אלוהים, למה דחת אותנו לנצח?
למה יתבשל אפו בצאן מרעייך?
2 זכר את עדתך, אשר רכשת מקדם,
אשר גאלת להיות שבט נחלתך,
הר ציון, אשר ישבת בו.
3 הרים רגליך אל חורבות נצחיות,
כל הרעה אשר עשה אויב במקדש.
4 אויביך שאגו בתוך עדתך.
הציבו דגלם לאותות.

10 עד מתי, אלוהים, יחרף האויב?
האם אויב יחלל שמך לנצח?
11 למה תמשוך ידך, אפילו ימינך?
הוצא מכיסך ותכלה אותם!
12 אך אלוהים הוא מלכי מימים עברו,
עושה ישועה בתוך הארץ.
13 בכוחך בקעת ים.
ראשי מפלצות ים שברת במים.
14 ראשי לוויתן שברת.
נתת אותו למאכל לאנשים וליצורי מדבר.
15 מעיין ונחל פתחת.
נהרות אדירים ייבשת.
16 היום לך, גם הלילה לך. אתה הכינת את האור והשמש.
17 אתה קבעת את כל גבולות הארץ. אתה עשית קיץ וחורף.
18 זכר זאת, כי אויב לעג לך, יהוה. אנשים נבלים חיללו את שמך.
19 אל תמסור נפש יונתך לחיות בר. אל תשכח נפש עניייך לנצח.
20 כבד את בריתך,
כי רוחות אלימות ממלאות את מקומות החשיכה של הארץ.
21 אל תיתן לעשוקים לשוב בבושה. יהללו עניים ואביונים את שמך.
22 קום אלוהים, טען את משפטך. זכור איך כועס לועג לך כל היום.
23 אל תשכח את קול אויביך. המון קמים עליך עולה ללא הרף.

חסידה עושה בית באשוחים.

בחכמה עשית את כולם. הארץ מלאה בעושמך.
25 שם הים, גדול ורחב ידיים,
שבו חיות רבות מספור,
חיות קטנות ועד גדולות.
26 שם הולכות הספינות,
ולוויתן, אשר יצרת לשחק שם.
27 כל אלה מחכים לך,
למען תתן להם את מאכלם בעיתם.
28 אתה נותן להם; הם יאספו.
אתה פותח את ידך; הם שבעו.
29 אתה מסתיר פניך: הם נלחצים;
אתה נושף את נשימתם: הם ימותו, ואל עפר ישובו.

33 כאשר שמעו זאת ההמונים, נדהמו מתורתו.
הברית הישנה: דברים כח:1 - 68
1 והיה אם תשמע בקול ה' אלהיך לשמור לעשות את כל מצוותיו אשר אנכי מצוך היום, אשר ה' אלהיך ישים אותך עליו על כל גויי הארץ.
2 ובאו עליך כל הברכות האלה והשיגו אותך אם תשמע בקול ה' אלהיך.
3 ברוך אתה בעיר, וברוך אתה בשדה.
4 ברוך פרי בטנך, ופרי אדמתך, ופרי בהמתך, מר בהמתך, ובשר צאנך.
5 ברוך סלך וגופתך.
6 ברוך אתה בבואך, וברוך אתה בצאתך.
ז ה' יגרום לאויביך הקמים עליך להכות מפניך, בדרך אחת יצאו עליך, ושבעה דרכים ינוסו מפניך.
ח' יצוה ה' עליך את הברכה באסמים שלך ובכל אשר תשלח ידך, וברכך בארץ אשר ה' אלהיך נותן לך.
ט' יכינו ה' לעם קדוש לו כאשר נשבע לך, אם תשמור את מצוות ה' אלהיך, והלכת בדרכיו.
י' ראו כל עמי הארץ כי שם ה' נקרא עליך, ויראו ממך.
יא ישביע אותך ה' לטובה, בפרי בטנך, ובפרי בהמתך, ובפרי אדמתך, בארץ אשר נשבע ה' לאבותיך לתת לך.
12 יפתח לך ה' את אוצרו הטוב בשמים לתת מטר ארצך בעתו ולברך את כל מעשה ידך והלווית לגויים רבים ולא תלווה.
13 ישים אותך ה' לראש ולא לזנב והיית רק למעלה ולא תהיה למטה אם תשמע במצוות ה' אלהיך אשר אנכי מצוך היום לשמור ולעשות אותן.
14 ולא תסור מכל הדברים אשר אנכי מצוך היום ימין ושמאל ללכת אחרי אלהים אחרים לעבודתם.
15 והיה אם לא תשמע בקול ה' אלהיך לשמור לעשות את כל מצוותיו וחקתיו אשר אנכי מצוך היום ובאו עליך כל הקללות האלה והשיגו אותך.
טז ארור תהיה בעיר ואורר תהיה בשדה.
ז ארור סלך ואגודת לישה.
ח ארור פרי בטנך ופרי אדמתך, גידול בהמקנה שלך ובשר צאנך.
ט ארור תהיה בבואך ואורר תהיה בצאתך.
כב ישלח ה' עליך את הקללה, את המהומה ואת התוכחה, בכל אשר תשלח ידך לעשות, עד השמדתך ועד אבדך מהרה, מפני רע מעשיך, אשר עזבתני.
כב י' ידבק בך את המגפה, עד כלותך מעל הארץ, אשר אתה בא שמה לרשתה.
22 ה' יככך בשחפת ובקדחת ובדלקת ובחם ובחרבה ובדפרף ובשיפשוף, ורודפים אותך עד אובדך.
23 שמיך אשר מעל ראשך יהיו נחושת, והארץ אשר תחתיך תהיה ברזל.
24 ה' ייתן את מטר ארצך אבק ועפר, מן השמים ירד עליך עד אובדך.
25 ה' יגרום לך להכות לפני אויביך, דרך אחת תצא נגדם, ושבעה דרכים תברח מפניהם, והיית מוטל בכל ממלכות הארץ.
26 גופתך תהיה למאכל לכל עוף השמים ולבהמת הארץ, ולא יהיה מי שירחיק אותם.
27 וְהִכָּךְ יְהוָה בְּשִׁחִין מִצְרַיִם וּבְגָדִינָה וּבְגְּרוֹד, אֲשֶׁר לֹא תִרְפֵּא מָהֶם.
28 וְהִכָּךְ יְהוָה בְּשִׁגעון וּבְעִוְרוֹן וּבְתִפְשָׁת לֵב.
29 וְגַשְׁתָּ בְּצַהֲרִים כְּעִוֵּר מַגַּשְׁב בַּחֲשֶׁךָ, וְלֹא תִצְלַח בְּדָרְכֶךָ, וְהָיִיתָ רַק עֲוֻשָּׁה וּבְזָלָה תָּמִיד, וְאֵין לָךְ מוֹשִׁיעָךְ.
30 אֵשׁ תִּארְס וְאִישׁ אַחֵר יִשְׁכָּב עִמָּהּ, בִּית תִּבְנֶה וְלֹא תִשְׁבֶּה בָּו.
31 שׁוּרְךָ יִשְׁחַט לִנְדֵי עֵינֶיךָ, וְלֹא תֹּאכְלוֹ, חֲמוֹנֶךָ יִגָּלֶה מִפְּנֵי פֶּנֶיךָ, וְלֹא תוֹשַׁב אֵלֶיךָ, צאנֶךָ יִתָּנוּ לְאוֹיְבֶיךָ, וְלֹא תִהְיֶה לָךְ מוֹשִׁיעָךְ.
לב בניך ובנותיך יינתנו לעם אחר ועיניך תראו ותכלו להם כל היום ולא יהיה דבר בידך.
לג פרי אדמתך וכל עמלך יאכל גוי אשר לא ידעת, ואתה תהיה רק מדוכא ומרסק כל הימים.
... 39 תטע כרמים ותעבד אותם, אך יין לא תשתה ולא תבצר, כי תולעת תאכלם.
40 זיתים יהיו לך בכל גבולך, אך שמן לא תמשח, כי זיתך יפיל פריו.
41 תלד בנים ובנות, אך לא יהיו לך, כי בגלות ילכו.
42 כל עציך ופרי אדמתך יירש הערבה.
43 הגר אשר בקרבך יעלה מעליך גבוה וגבוה, ואתה תרד נמוך וגבוה.
44 הוא ילווה לך, ואתה לא תלווה לו: הוא יהיה לראש, ואתה תהיה לזנב.
45 כל הקללות האלה יבאו עליך, וירדפו אותך, וישיגו אותך, עד השמדתך; יען אשר לא שמעת בקול ה' אלהיך לשמור מצוותיו וחקתיו אשר צוך:
46 והיו עליך לאות ולמופת ועל זרעך עד עולם.
47 יען אשר לא עבדת את ה' אלהיך בשמחה ובשמחת לב מרוב כל.
48 לכן תעבד את אויביך אשר ישלח ה' עליך ברעב ובצמא ובערוה ובמחסור בכל. ועל ברזל יתן על צוארך עד השמדתך.
49 ה' יביא עליך גוי ממרחק מקצה הארץ כעוף נשר גוי אשר לא תבין לשונו. 50 גוי עַר פָּנִים, אֲשֶׁר לֹא יַשְׁבִּין פָּנִים וְלֹא יַחֲנֵן בָּנָעִים.
51 וְאֶת-פְּרִי מְקָנְךָ וְאֶת-פְּרִי אֲדָמְדְךָ אֲשֶׁר לֹא יַשְׁיָרְךָ וְשֶׁמֶן וְרַב מְקָנְךָ וְעֹצֶר צֹאנֶךָ אֲדַר אֲבֹדְךָ.
52 וְיַצְרוּ עָלֶיךָ בְּכָל-שְׁעָרֶיךָ עַד-נִפְלוּ חוֹמֶתֶךָ הַגָּבוֹת הַמְּבֻצְרוֹת אֲשֶׁר בָּטַחְתָּ בְּכָל-אֲדָמֶךָ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ.
53 וְאֶת-פְּרִי בְּטַנְךָ וְאֶת-בְּשָׂר בְּנֶיךָ וְאֶת-בְּנֶתֶךָ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּמְצוֹר וְבַצְרָה אֲשֶׁר יַצְרוּ עָלֶיךָ. 54 האיש הרך בך, והעדין מאוד, עינו תרע אל אחיו, אל אשת חיקו, אל יתר בניו אשר נותרו לו;
55 ולא יתן לאיש מהם מבשר בניו אשר יאכל, כי לא נותר לו דבר, במצור ובצרה אשר יצקך אויבך בכל שעריך.
56 האישה העדינה והעדינה בך, אשר לא תעז להניח את כף רגלה על האדמה מרוב עדינות ורכות, עינה תרע אל בעל חיקה, אל בנה, אל בתה,
57 ולנערה היוצא מבין רגליה, אל בניה אשר תלד, כי תאכלם מחוסר כל בסתר, במצור ובצרה אשר יצקך אויבך בשעריך.
58 אם לא תשמר לעשות את כל דברי התורה הזאת אשר הכתובים בספר הזה למען תיראה את השם הנכבד והנורא הזה, ה' אלהיך;
59 והפליא ה' את מכותיך ואת מכות זרעך מכות גדולות וממוכות, ומחליים רעים וממוכות.
60 הוא ישיב עליך את כל מחלאי מצרים אשר פחדת מהם, והן ידבקו בך.
61 וגם כל מחלת וכל מכה אשר לא כתוב בספר התורה הזאת, אותם יביא ה' עליך עד השמדתך.
62 מעט תישארו במספר, במקום שהייתם ככוכבי השמים לרוב, כי לא שמעת בקול ה' אלהיך.
63 והיה כאשר שמח יהוה בכם להטיב אתכם ולהרבות אתכם, כן ישמח יהוה בכם להאבד אתכם ולהשמיד אתכם, ונלקחת מן הארץ אשר אתה בא שמה לרשתה.
64 ויפזר אתכם יהוה בכל העמים מקצה הארץ ועד קצה הארץ, ועבדת שם אלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעת, אתה ואבותיך, עץ ואבן.
65 בגויים האלה לא תמצא מנוחה, ולא יהיה מנוחה לכף רגלך; ונתן לך יהוה שם לב רועד, וכאילוף עיניים, וכאילוף נפש.
66 ותלויה נפשך לפניך, ופחדת לילה ויום, ולא תהיה בטוחה בחייך.
67 בבוקר תאמר, הלוואי היה ערב! ובערב תאמר, הלוואי היה בוקר! מפני פחד לבבך אשר תפחד, ומפני מראה עיניך אשר תראה.
68 ה' ישיב אתך מצרים באוניות, בדרך אשר אמרתי לך לא תראה עוד, ושם תמכר את עצמך לאויביך לעבדים ולשפחות, ואיש לא יקנה אתך.
ברית חדשה: לוקס י"א 14-36
י"א 14 הוא גירש שד, והוא היה אילם. ויהי כאשר יצא השד, דיבר האילם, והקהל התפלא.
15 ואחדים אמרו: "על ידי בעל זיבול שר השדים הוא מגרש שדים."
16 אחרים, בניסיון אותו, בקשו ממנו אות מן השמים.
17 אך הוא, שידע את מחשבותיהם, אמר להם: "כל ממלכה המחולקת על עצמה תיהרס, ובית המחולקת על עצמו תפול.
18 אם גם השטן מחולק על עצמו, כיצד תעמוד מלכותו? כי אתם אומרים שאני מגרש שדים על ידי בעל זיבול.

26 ואז הולך ולוקח שבע רוחות אחרות רעות ממנו, והן נכנסות פנימה ושכנות שם. מצבו האחרון של אותו אדם יהיה גרוע יותר מהראשון."
27 ויהי, כאשר אמר את הדברים האלה, אישה אחת מהקהל נשאה את קולה ואמרה לו: "אשרי הרחם אשר נשאתך והשדיים אשר ינקתך!"

31 מלכת הדרום תקום במשפט עם אנשי הדור הזה ותרשיע אותם, כי באה מקצה הארץ לשמוע את חכמת שלמה, והנה, גדול משלמה נמצא כאן.
32 אנשי נינוה יקומו במשפט עם הדור הזה ותרשיעו אותו, כי הם חזרו בדרשת יונה, והנה, גדול מיונה נמצא כאן.
33 "אין אדם שמדליק נר ומניח אותה במדף או מתחת לסלסלה, אלא על מעמד, כדי שהנכנסים יראו את האור.
