1 In
the LORD do I take refuge.
How
can you say to my soul,
"Flee
as a bird to your mountain!"
2 For,
behold, the wicked bend their bows.
They
set their arrows on the strings,
That
they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3 If
the foundations are destroyed,
What
can the righteous do?
4 The
LORD is in his holy temple.
The
LORD is on his throne in heaven.
His
eyes observe.
His
eyes examine the children of men.
5 The
LORD examines the righteous,
But
the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.
6 On
the wicked he will rain blazing coals;
Fire,
sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For
the LORD is righteous.
He
loves righteousness.
The
upright shall see his face.
PSALMS:

1 Blessed
is he who considers the poor:
The
LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.
He
shall be blessed on the eretz,
And
he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.
His
heart gathers iniquity to itself.
When
he goes abroad, he tells it.
8 "An
evil disease," they say, "has afflicted him.
Now
that he lies he shall rise up no more."
9 Yes,
my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,
Who
ate bread with me,
Has
lifted up his heel against me.
10 But
you, LORD, have mercy on me, and raise me up,
That
I may repay them.
11 By
this I know that you delight in me,
Because
my enemy doesn't triumph over me.
12 As
for me, you uphold me in my integrity,
And
set me in your presence forever.
13 Blessed
be the LORD, the God of Yisra'el,
From
everlasting and to everlasting! Amein and amein.
PSALMS:

1 In
you, LORD, I take refuge.
Never
let me be put to shame.
Give
the command to save me,
For
you are my rock and my fortress.
You
are he who took me out of my mother's womb.
I
will always praise you.
Let
them be covered with disgrace and scorn who want to harm me.
14 But
I will always hope,
And
will add to all of your praise.
15 My
mouth will tell about your righteousness,
And
of your salvation all day,
Though
I don't know its full measure.
16 I
will come with the mighty acts of the Lord GOD.
I
will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours alone.
17 God,
you have taught me from my youth.
Until
now, I have declared your wondrous works.
18 Yes,
even when I am old and gray-headed,
God,
don't forsake me,
Until
I have declared your strength to the next generation,
Your
might to everyone who is to come.
19 Your
righteousness also, God, reaches to the heavens;
You
who have done great things.
God,
who is like you?
20 You,
who have shown us many and bitter troubles,
You
will let me live.
You
will bring us up again from the depths of the eretz.
21 Increase
my honor, And comfort me again.
22 I
will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God.
I
sing praises to you with the lyre,
Holy
One of Yisra'el.
23 My
lips shall shout for joy!
My
soul, which you have redeemed, sings praises to you!
24 My
tongue will also talk about your righteousness all day long,
For
they are put to shame, and they are confounded,
who
want to harm me.
PSALMS:
101
1
I will sing of loving kindness and justice.
To
you, LORD, I will sing praises.
When
will you come to me?
I
will walk within my house with a blameless heart.
I
hate the deeds of faithless men.
They
will not cling to me.
I
won't tolerate one who is haughty and conceited.
That
they may dwell with me.
He
who walks in a perfect way, He will serve me.
He
who speaks falsehood won't be established before my eyes.
To
cut off all the workers of iniquity from the LORD's city.
PSALMS:
131
1 LORD,
my heart isn't haughty, nor my eyes lofty;
Neither
do I concern myself with great matters,
Or
things too wonderful for me.
Like
a weaned child with his mother,
Like
a weaned child is my soul within me.
PROVERBS:
11
1 A
false balance is an abomination to the LORD,
But
accurate weights are his delight.
But
the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.
But
the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
But
the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.
But
the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.
When
the wicked perish, there is shouting.
But
it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
But
one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret.
But
in the multitude of counselors there is victory.
But
he who refuses pledges of collateral is secure.
But
those whose ways are blameless are his delight.
But
the seed of the righteous will be delivered.
There
is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.
25 The
liberal soul shall be made fat.
He
who waters shall be watered also himself.
26 He
who withholds grain, the people will curse him,
But
blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.
27
He who diligently seeks good seeks favor,
But
he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.
28 He
who trusts in his riches will fall,
But
the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.
29 He
who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind.
The
foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30 The
fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.
He
who is wise wins souls.
31 Behold,
the righteous shall be repaid in the eretz;
How
much more the wicked and the sinner!
OLD
TESTAMENT:
LAMENTATIONS 4:1 - 5:22
4:1 How
is the gold become dim! [how] is the most pure gold changed! The
stones of the sanctuary are poured out at the head of every
street. 2 The
precious sons of Tziyon, comparable to fine gold, How are they
esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the
potter! 3 Even
the jackals draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones:
The daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the
wilderness. 4 The
tongue of the sucking child cleaves to the roof of his mouth for
thirst: The young children ask bread, and no man breaks it to
them. 5 Those
who did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: Those who were
brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills. 6 For
the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the sin of
Sedom, That was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands were laid on
her. 7 Her
Nazirites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk; They
were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was as of
sappir. 8 Their
visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets:
Their skin cleaves to their bones; it is withered, it is become like
a stick. 9 Those
who are killed with the sword are better than those who are killed
with hunger; For these pine away, stricken through, for want of the
fruits of the field. 10 The
hands of the pitiful women have boiled their own children; They were
their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people. 11
The
LORD has accomplished his wrath, he has poured out his fierce anger;
He has kindled a fire in Tziyon, which has devoured the foundations
of it. 12 The
kings of the eretz didn't believe, neither all the inhabitants of
the world, That the adversary and the enemy would enter into the
gates of Yerushalayim. 13 [It
is] because of the sins of her prophets, [and] the iniquities of her
Kohanim, That have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her.
14 They
wander as blind men in the streets, they are polluted with blood, So
that men can't touch their garments. 15 Depart
you, they cried to them, Unclean! depart, depart, don't touch! When
they fled away and wandered, men said among the nations, They shall
no more sojourn [here]. 16 The
anger of the LORD has scattered them; he will no more regard them:
They didn't respect the persons of the Kohanim, they didn't favor
the Zakenim.
17
Our
eyes do yet fail [in looking] for our vain help: In our watching we
have watched for a nation that could not save. 18 They
hunt our steps, so that we can't go in our streets: Our end is near,
our days are fulfilled; for our end is come. 19 Our
pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the sky: They chased us on
the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness. 20 The
breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the LORD, was taken in their
pits; Of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the
nations. 21 Rejoice
and be glad, daughter of Edom, that dwell in the land of `Utz: The
cup shall pass through to you also; you shall be drunken, and shall
make yourself naked. 22 The
punishment of your iniquity is accomplished, daughter of Tziyon; he
will no more carry you away into captivity: He will visit your
iniquity, daughter of Edom; he will uncover your sins.
5:1 Remember,
LORD, what has come on us: Look, and see our reproach. 2 Our
inheritance is turned to strangers, Our houses to aliens. 3 We
are orphans and fatherless; Our mothers are as widows. 4 We
have drunken our water for money; Our wood is sold to us. 5 Our
pursuers are on our necks: We are weary, and have no rest. 6 We
have given the hand to the Mitzrim, To the Ashshur, to be satisfied
with bread. 7 Our
fathers sinned, and are no more; We have borne their
iniquities. 8 Servants
rule over us: There is none to deliver us out of their hand. 9 We
get our bread at the peril of our lives, Because of the sword of the
wilderness. 10 Our
skin is black like an oven, Because of the burning heat of
famine. 11
They
ravished the women in Tziyon, The virgins in the cities of
Yehudah. 12 Princes
were hanged up by their hand: The faces of Zakenim were not
honored. 13 The
young men bare the mill; The children stumbled under the
wood. 14 The
Zakenim have ceased from the gate, The young men from their
music. 15 The
joy of our heart is ceased; Our dance is turned into
mourning. 16 The
crown is fallen from our head: Woe to us! for we have sinned.17 For
this our heart is faint; For these things our eyes are dim; 18 For
the mountain of Tziyon, which is desolate: The foxes walk on
it. 19 You,
LORD, abide forever; Your throne is from generation to
generation. 20 Why
do you forget us forever, [And] forsake us so long time? 21 Turn
you us to you, LORD, and we shall be turned; Renew our days as of
old. 22 But
you have utterly rejected us; You are very angry against us.
NEW
TESTAMENT:
HEBREWS 2:1 - 18
2:1 Therefore
we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard,
lest perhaps we drift away.
2 For
if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every
transgression and disobedience received a just recompense;
3 how
will we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation -- which at the
first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by
those who heard;
4 God
also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by
various works of power, and by gifts of the Ruach HaKodesh,
according to his own will?
5 For
he didn't subject the world to come, whereof we speak, to angels.
6 But
one has somewhere testified, saying, "What is man, that you
think of him? Or the son of man, that you care for him?
7
You
made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory
and honor.
8 You
have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that
he subjected all things to him, he left nothing that is not subject
to him. But now we don't see all things subjected to him, yet.
9 But
we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, Yeshua,
because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that
by the grace of God he should taste of death for everyone.
10 For
it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all
things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their
salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For
both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from
one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,
12 saying,
"I will declare your name to my brothers, In the midst of the
congregation will I sing your praise."
13 Again,
"I will put my trust in him." Again, "Behold, here am
I and the children whom God has given me."
14 Since
then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in
like manner partook of the same, that through death he might bring
to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
15 and
might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their
lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For
most assuredly, not to angels does he give help, but he gives help
to the seed of Avraham.
17 Therefore
he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he
might become a merciful and faithful Kohen Gadol in things
pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.
18 For
in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help
those who are tempted.
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
