1 Why
do you stand far off, LORD?
Why
do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
2 In
arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak;
They
are caught in the schemes that they devise.
3 For
the wicked boasts of his heart's cravings,
He
blesses the greedy, and condemns the LORD.
4 The
wicked, in the pride of his face,
Has
no room in his thoughts for God.
5 His
ways are prosperous at all times;
He
is haughty, and your laws are far from his sight:
As
for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.
6 He
says in his heart, "I shall not be shaken;
For
generations I shall have no trouble."
7
His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression.
Under
his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
8 He
lies in wait near the villages.
From
ambushes, he murders the innocent.
His
eyes are secretly set against the helpless.
9 He
lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush.
He
lies in wait to catch the helpless.
He
catches the helpless, when he draws him in his net.
10 The
helpless are crushed, they collapse,
They
fall under his strength.
11 He
says in his heart, "God has forgotten.
He
hides his face. He will never see it."
12 Arise,
LORD! God, lift up your hand!
Don't
forget the helpless.
13 Why
does the wicked condemn God,
And
say in his heart, "God won't call me into account?"
14 But
you do see trouble and grief;
You
consider it to take it into your hand.
You
help the victim and the fatherless.
15 Break
the arm of the wicked.
As
for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.
16
The
LORD is King forever and ever!
The
nations will perish out of his land.
17 LORD,
you have heard the desire of the humble.
You
will prepare their heart.
You
will cause your ear to hear,
18 To
judge the fatherless and the oppressed,
That
man who is of the eretz may terrify no more.
PSALMS:

1 I
waited patiently for the LORD.
He
turned to me, and heard my cry.
He
set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.
Many
shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
And
doesn't respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
And
your thoughts which are toward us.
They
can't be set in order to you;
If
I would declare and speak of them,
they
are more than can be numbered.
My
ears have you opened:
Burnt
offering and sin offering have you not required.
Behold,
I will not seal my lips, LORD, you know.
I
have declared your faithfulness and your salvation.
I
have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the
great assembly.
Let
your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
My
iniquities have overtaken me,
so
that I am not able to look up.
They
are more than the hairs of my head.
My
heart has failed me.
who
seek after my soul to destroy it.
Let
them be turned backward and
brought
to dishonor who delight in my hurt.
Let
such as love your salvation say continually,
"Let
the LORD be exalted!"
May
the Lord think about me.
You
are my help and my deliverer.
Don't
delay, my God.
PSALMS:
70
1 Hurry,
God, to deliver me.
Come
quickly to help me, LORD.
Let
those who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
Let
those who love your yeshu`ah continually say,
"Let
God be exalted!"
Come
to me quickly, God.
You
are my help and my deliverer,
LORD,
don't delay.

1 Make
a joyful noise to the LORD, all you lands!
It
is he who has made us, and we are his.
We
are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Into
his courts with praise.
Give
thanks to him, and bless his name.
PSALMS:

1 Out
of the depths I have cried to you, LORD.
More
than watchmen for the morning.
For
with the LORD there is loving kindness.
With
him is abundant redemption.
PROVERBS:
10
1 The
proverbs of Shlomo.
A
wise son makes a glad father;
But
a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
But
he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
But
he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.
But
a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.
19
In
the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience,
But
he who restrains his lips does wisely.
20 The
tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The
heart of the wicked is of little worth.
21 The
lips of the righteous feed many,
But
the foolish die for lack of understanding.
22 The
blessing of the LORD brings wealth,
And
he adds no trouble to it.
23 It
is a fool's pleasure to do wickedness,
But
wisdom is a man of understanding's pleasure.
24 What
the wicked fear, will overtake them,
But
the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25
When
the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more;
But
the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26 As
vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes,
So
is the sluggard to those who send him.
27
The
fear of the LORD prolongs days,
But
the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28 The
prospect of the righteous is joy,
But
the hope of the wicked will perish.
29 The
way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright,
But
it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
30 The
righteous will never be removed,
But
the wicked will not dwell in the land.
31 The
mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom,
But
the perverse tongue will be cut off.
32 The
lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But
the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
OLD
TESTAMENT:
LAMENTATIONS 3:1 - 66
3:1 I
am the man that has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
2
He
has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.
3 Surely
against me he turns his hand again and again all the day.
4 My
flesh and my skin has he made old; he has broken my bones.
5 He
has built against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
6 He
has made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long
dead.
7 He
has walled me about, that I can't go forth; he has made my chain
heavy.
8 Yes,
when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
9 He
has walled up my ways with hewn stone; he has made my paths
crooked.
10 He
is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in secret places.
11 He
has turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces; he has made me
desolate.
12 He
has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
13 He
has caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my reins.
14 I
am become a derision to all my people, and their song all the day.
15 He
has filled me with bitterness, he has sated me with wormwood.
16 He
has also broken my teeth with gravel stones; he has covered me with
ashes.
17 You
have removed my soul far off from shalom; I forgot prosperity.
18 I
said, My strength is perished, and my expectation from the LORD.
19 Remember
my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
20 My
soul still remembers them, and is bowed down within me.
21 This
I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope.
22 [It
is of] the LORD's lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because
his compassion doesn't fail.
23 They
are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
24 The
LORD is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The
LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
26 It
is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of
the LORD.
27 It
is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
28 Let
him sit alone and keep silence, because he has laid it on him.
29 Let
him put his mouth in the dust, if so be there may be hope.
30 Let
him give his cheek to him who strikes him; let him be filled full
with reproach.
31 For
the Lord will not cast off forever.
32
For
though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the
multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
33 For
he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.
34 To
crush under foot all the prisoners of the eretz,
35 To
turn aside the right of a man before the face of Ha`Elyon,
36 To
subvert a man in his cause, the Lord doesn't approve.
37 Who
is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn't command
it?
38 Doesn't
evil and good come out of the mouth of Ha`Elyon?
39 Why
does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
40 Let
us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
41 Let
us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.
42 We
have transgressed and have rebelled; you have not pardoned.
43 You
have covered with anger and pursued us; you have killed, you have
not pitied.
44 You
have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass
through.
45 You
have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the midst of the
peoples.
46 All
our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
47 Fear
and the pit are come on us, devastation and destruction.
48 My
eye runs down with streams of water, for the destruction of the
daughter of my people.
49 My
eye pours down, and doesn't cease, without any intermission,
50 Until
the LORD look down, and see from heaven.
51 My
eye affects my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.
52 They
have chased me sore like a bird, those who are my enemies without
cause.
53 They
have cut off my life in the dungeon, and have cast a stone on me.
54 Waters
flowed over my head; I said, I am cut off.
55 I
called on your name, LORD, out of the lowest dungeon.
56 You
heard my voice; don't hide your ear at my breathing, at my cry.
57 You
drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, Don't be
afraid.
58 Lord,
you have pleaded the causes of my soul; you have redeemed my life.
59
LORD,
you have seen my wrong; judge you my cause.
60 You
have seen all their vengeance and all their devices against me.
61 You
have heard their reproach, LORD, and all their devices against me,
62 The
lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me
all the day.
63 See
you their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their song.
64 You
will render to them a recompense, LORD, according to the work of
their hands.
65 You
will give them hardness of heart, your curse to them.
66 You
will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens
of the LORD.
NEW
TESTAMENT:
HEBREWS 1:1 - 14
1:1 God,
having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at
many times and in various ways,
14 Aren't
they all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake
of those who will inherit salvation?
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
