1 The eretz is the LORD's, with its fullness;
The world, and those who dwell therein.
2 For he has founded it on the seas,
And established it on the floods.
3 Who may ascend to the LORD's hill?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart;
Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood,
And has not sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive a blessing from the LORD,
Righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek your face -- even Ya`akov.
Selah.
7 Lift up your heads, you gates;
Be lifted up, you everlasting doors:
The King of glory will come in.
8 Who is the King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, you gates;
Yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors:
The King of glory will come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of Hosts,
He is the King of glory.

PSALMS: 54
1 Save me, God, by your name.
Vindicate me in your might.
2 Hear my prayer, God.
Listen to the words of my mouth.
3 For strangers have risen up against me.
Violent men have sought after my soul.
They haven't set God before them.
Selah.
4 Behold, God is my helper.
The Lord is the one who sustains my soul.
5 He will repay the evil to my enemies.
Destroy them in your truth.
6 With a free will offering, I will sacrifice to you.
I will give thanks to your name, LORD, for it is good.
7 For he has delivered me out of all trouble.
My eye has seen triumph over my enemies.
PSALMS: 84
1 How lovely are your dwellings,
LORD of Hosts!
2 My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of the LORD.
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Yes, the sparrow has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young,
Near your altars, LORD of Hosts,
My King, and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house.
They are always praising you. Selah.
5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in you;
Who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
6 Passing through the valley of Weeping,
they make it a place of springs.
Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
7 They go from strength to strength.
Everyone of them appears before God in Tziyon.
8 LORD, God Tzva'ot, hear my prayer.
Listen, God of Ya`akov.
Selah.
9 Behold, God our shield,
Look at the face of your anointed.
10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and a shield.
The LORD will give grace and glory.
He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
12 LORD of Hosts,
Blessed is the man who trusts in you.
PSALMS: 114
1 When Yisra'el went forth out of Mitzrayim,
The house of Ya`akov from a people of foreign language;
2 Yehudah became his sanctuary,
Yisra'el his dominion.
3 The sea saw it, and fled.
The Yarden was driven back.
4 The mountains skipped like rams,
The little hills like lambs.
5 What was it, you sea, that you fled?
You Yarden, that you turned back?
6 You mountains, that you skipped like rams;
You little hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, you eretz, at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the God of Ya`akov,
8 Who turned the rock into a pool of water,
The flint into a spring of waters.
PSALMS: 144
1 Blessed be the LORD, my rock,
Who teaches my hands to war,
And my fingers to battle:
2 My loving kindness, my fortress,
My high tower, my deliverer,
My shield, and he in whom I take refuge;
Who subdues my people under me.
3 LORD, what is man, that you care for him?
Or the son of man, that you think of him?
4 Man is like a breath.
His days are like a shadow that passes away.
5 Part your heavens, LORD, and come down.
Touch the mountains, and they will smoke.
6 Throw out lightning, and scatter them.
Send out your arrows, and rout them.
7 Stretch out your hand from above,
Rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters,
Out of the hands of foreigners;
8 Whose mouths speak deceit,
Whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 I will sing a new song to you, God.
On a ten-stringed lyre,
I will sing praises to you.
10 You are he who gives salvation to kings,
Who rescues David, his servant, from the deadly sword.
11 Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hands of foreigners,
Whose mouths speak deceit,
Whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
12 Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants,
Our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.
13 Our barns are full, filled with all kinds of provision.
Our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields.
14 Our oxen will pull heavy loads.
There is no breaking in, and no going away,
And no outcry in our streets.
15 Happy are the people who are in such a situation.
Happy are the people whose God is the LORD.
PROVERBS: 24
1 Don't you be envious against evil men;
Neither desire to be with them:
2 For their hearts plot violence,
And their lips talk about mischief.
3 Through wisdom a house is built;
By understanding it is established;
4 By knowledge the rooms are filled
With all rare and beautiful treasure.
5 A wise man has great power;
And a knowledgeable man increases strength;
6 For by wise guidance you wage your war;
And victory is in many advisors.
7 Wisdom is too high for a fool:
He doesn't open his mouth in the gate.
8 One who plots to do evil
Will be called a schemer.
9 The schemes of folly are sin.
The mocker is detested by men.
10 If you falter in the time of trouble,
Your strength is small.
11 Rescue those who are being led away to death!
Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter!
12 If you say,
"Behold, we didn't know this;"
Doesn't he who weighs the hearts consider it?
He who keeps your soul, doesn't he know it?
Shall he not render to every man according to his work?
13 My son, eat honey, for it is good;
The droppings of the honeycomb, which are sweet to your taste:
14 So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul;
If you have found it, then will there be a reward,
Your hope will not be cut off.
15 Don't lay in wait, wicked man, against the habitation of the righteous.
Don't destroy his resting-place:
16 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again;
But the wicked are overthrown by calamity.
17 Don't rejoice when your enemy falls.
Don't let your heart be glad when he is overthrown;
18 Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him,
And he turn away his wrath from him.
19 Don't fret yourself because of evildoers;
Neither be envious of the wicked:
20 For there will be no reward to the evil man;
And the lamp of the wicked shall be snuffed out.
21 My son, fear the LORD and the king.
Don't join those who are rebellious:
22 For their calamity will rise suddenly;
The destruction from them both -- who knows?
23 These also are sayings of the wise.
To show partiality in judgment is not good.
24 He who says to the wicked, "You are righteous;"
Peoples shall curse him, and nations shall abhor him --
25 But it will go well with those who convict the guilty,
And a rich blessing will come on them.
26 An honest answer Is like a kiss on the lips.
27 Prepare your work outside.
Make it ready for you in the field.
Afterwards, build your house.
28 Don't be a witness against your neighbor without cause.
Don't deceive with your lips.
29 Don't say, "I will do to him as he has done to me;
I will render to the man according to his work."
30 I went by the field of the sluggard,
By the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
31 Behold, it was all grown over with thorns.
Its surface was covered with nettles,
And its stone wall was broken down.
32 Then I saw, and considered well.
I saw, and received instruction:
33 A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to sleep;
34 So shall your poverty come as a robber,
And your want as an armed man.

16:37 So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, Asaf and his brothers, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required; 38 and `Oved-'Edom with their brothers, sixty-eight; `Oved-'Edom also the son of Yedutun and Hosah to be doorkeepers; 39 and Tzadok the Kohen, and his brothers the Kohanim, before the tent of the LORD in the high place that was at Giv`on, 40 to offer burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded to Yisra'el; 41 and with them Heman and Yedutun, and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his lovingkindness endures forever; 42 and with them Heman and Yedutun [with] trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and [with] instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Yedutun to be at the gate. 43 All the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
17:1 It happened, when David lived in his house, that David said to Natan the prophet, Behold, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD [dwells] under curtains. 2 Natan said to David, Do all that is in your heart; for God is with you. 3 It happened the same night, that the word of God came to Natan, saying, 4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus says the LORD, You shall not build me a house to dwell in: 5 for I have not lived in a house since the day that I brought up Yisra'el, to this day, but have gone from tent to tent, and from [one] tent [to another]. 6 In all places in which I have walked with all Yisra'el, spoke I a word with any of the judges of Yisra'el, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying, Why have you not built me a house of cedar? 7 Now therefore thus shall you tell my servant David, Thus says the LORD of Hosts, I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over my people Yisra'el: 8 and I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a name, like the name of the great ones who are in the eretz. 9 I will appoint a place for my people Yisra'el, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the first, 10 and [as] from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Yisra'el; and I will subdue all your enemies. Moreover I tell you that the LORD will build you a house. 11 It shall happen, when your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up your seed after you, who shall be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 12 He shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. 13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my lovingkindness away from him, as I took it from him that was before you; 14 but I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom forever; and his throne shall be established forever. 15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Natan speak to David. 16 Then David the king went in, and sat before the LORD; and he said, Who am I, LORD God, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?
17 This was a small thing in your eyes, God; but you have spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, LORD God. 18 What can David [say] yet more to you concerning the honor which is done to your servant? for you know your servant. 19 LORD, for your servant's sake, and according to your own heart, have you worked all this greatness, to make known all [these] great things. 20 LORD, there is none like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears. 21 What one nation in the eretz is like your people Yisra'el, whom God went to redeem to himself for a people, to make you a name by great and awesome things, in driving out nations from before your people, whom you redeem out of Mitzrayim? 22 For your people Yisra'el did you make your own people forever; and you, LORD, became their God. 23 Now, LORD, let the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, be established forever, and do as you have spoken. 24 Let your name be established and magnified forever, saying, the LORD of Hosts is the God of Yisra'el, even a God to Yisra'el: and the house of David your servant is established before you. 25 For you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build him a house: therefore has your servant found [in his heart] to pray before you. 26 Now, LORD, you are God, and have promised this good thing to your servant: 27 and now it has pleased you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you: for you, LORD, have blessed, and it is blessed forever.
18:1 After this it happened, that David struck the Pelishtim, and subdued them, and took Gat and its towns out of the hand of the Pelishtim. 2 He struck Mo'av; and the Mo`avim became servants to David, and brought tribute. 3 David struck Hadad`ezer king of Tzovah to Hamat, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Perat. 4 David took from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots. 5 When the Aram of Dammesek came to help Hadad`ezer king of Tzovah, David struck of the Aram twenty-two thousand men. 6 Then David put [garrisons] in Aram of Dammesek; and the Aram became servants to David, and brought tribute. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went. 7 David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadad`ezer, and brought them to Yerushalayim. 8 From Tivchat and from Cun, cities of Hadad`ezer, David took very much brass, with which Shlomo made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass. 9 When To`u king of Hamat heard that David had struck all the host of Hadad`ezer king of Tzovah, 10 he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadad`ezer and struck him; (for Hadad`ezer had wars with To`u;) and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass. 11 These also did king David dedicate to the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Mo'av, and from the children of `Ammon, and from the Pelishtim, and from `Amalek. 12 Moreover Avishai the son of Tzeru'yah struck of the Edom in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand. 13 He put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edom became servants to David. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went. 14 David reigned over all Yisra'el; and he executed justice and righteousness to all his people. 15 Yo'av the son of Tzeru'yah was over the host; and Yehoshafat the son of Achilud was recorder; 16 and Tzadok the son of Achituv, and Avimelekh the son of Avyatar, were Kohanim; and Shavsha was Sofer; 17 and Benayah the son of Yehoiada was over the Kereti and the Peleti; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
NEW TESTAMENT: ROMANS 2:1 - 24
2:1 Therefore you are without excuse, man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
2 We know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.
3 Do you know this, O man who judges those who practice such things, and do the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?
4 Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 who "will render to every man according to his works:"
7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruptibility, eternal life;
8but to those who are self-seeking, and don't obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath and indignation,
9 oppression and anguish, on every soul of man who works evil, on the Yehudi first, and also on the Yevanit.
10 But glory and honor and shalom to every man who works good, to the Yehudi first, and also to the Yevanit.
11 For there is no partiality with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
13 For it isn't the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified
14 (for when Goyim who don't have the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are a law to themselves,
15 in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying with them, and their thoughts among themselves accusing or else excusing them)
16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men, according to my Good News, by Yeshua the Messiah.
17 Indeed you bear the name of a Yehudi, and rest on the law, and glory in God,
18 and know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,
19 and are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,
20 a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babies, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.
21 You therefore who teach another, don't you teach yourself? You who preach that a man shouldn't steal, do you steal?
22 You who say a man shouldn't commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?
23 You who glory in the law, through your disobedience of the law do you dishonor God?
24 For "the name of God is blasphemed among the Goyim because of you," just as it is written.

על מזבחותיך, יהוה צבאות,
מלכי ואלוהי.
4 אשרי יושבי ביתך.
תמיד ישבחו אותך. סלה.

אשר שמו לבם לרגל.
6 עוברים בעמק הבכא,
יעשו אותו למקום מעיינות.
כן גשם סתיו יכסה אותו ברכות.

כל אחד מהם נראה לפני אלוהים בציון. ח ה' אלוהי צבאות, שמע תפילתי. שמע אלוהי יעקב. סלה. ט הנה אלוהי מגןנו,
הבט פני משיחך.

עדיף להיות שומר פתח בבית אלוהי,
משוכן באוהלי רשע.
י כי שמש ומגן ה' אלוהי.
חן ותפארת יתן ה'.
לא ימנע טוב מהולכים תמימים.

אשרי האיש אשר בטח בך.

א בצאתו של ישראל ממצרים,
בית יעקב מעם זרה;
ב יהודה הייתה לו למקדש,
ישראל לממלכתו. 3 הים ראה זאת ונמלט.
הירדן נדחקה.
4 הרים כאילים קפצו,
גבעות כצאן.
5 מה ים כי ברחת?
ירדן כי שובת?
6 הרים כי כאילים קפצתם;
גבעות כצאן?
7 רעדו ארץ מפני ה',

ואין צעקה ברחובותינו.
15 אשרי העם אשר במצב כזה.
אשרי העם אשר יהוה אלוהיו.
משלי: 24
1 אל תקנא באנשים רעים;
אל תחפוץ להיות עמם:
2 כי לבם זומם חמס,
ושפתם מדברות רעה.
3 בחכמה בית נבנה;
בתבונה יבנה;
4 בדעת מלאו חדרים
כל אוצרות נדירים ויפים.
5 כחם גדול;
ואיש יודע יגדל כוח;
6 כי בהדרכה חכמה תנהל מלחמתך;
וניצחון בהרבה יועצים.
7 חכמה גבוהה מדי לכסיל;
לא יפתח פיו בשער.
8 הזומם לעשות רעה
יקרא מתכנן.
9 מזימות סכלות הן חטא.
לועץ שנא לאנשים.
10 אם תיכשל בעת צרה,
כוחך קטן.
11 הצילו את המובלים אל המוות! אמנם, עיכבו את המתנודדים אל הטבח! 12 אם תאמרו,
"הנה, לא ידענו זאת"; האם לא יבין השוקל לבבות? האם לא ידע שומר נפשך? האם לא ישלם לאיש כמעשהו? 13 בני, אכל דבש כי טוב; פתיתי חלת דבש, מתוקים לטעמך:
14 כך תדע חכמה לנפשך; אם מצאתה, והיה שכר,
לא תכרת תקוותך.
15 אל תחרב, רשע, למשכן צדיקים. אל תחריב את מנוחתו:
16 כי שבע פעמים צדיק ייפול ויקם; ורשעים יפלו באסון.
יז אל תשמח בנפילת אויבך. אל ישמח לבבך בהפלתו. יח פן יראה ה' וירעה לו,
והסב מעליו את חרונו.
ט אל תרגז על עושי רעה, ואל תקנא ברשעים:
ככי אין שכר לרשע, ונרת הרשע יכבה.
כא בני, ירא את ה' ואת המלך. אל תצטרף למורדים:
כב כי פתאום תקום אסוןם; מי יודע מהשניהם השחתה?
כגון אלה דברי חכמים. לא טוב לגלות פנים אל פנים במשפט.
כד האומר לרשע צדיק אתה. עמים יקללוהו, וגויים יתעבוהו --
25 אך טוב יהיה לאשמים,
וברכה רבה תבוא עליהם.
26 תשובה כנה היא כנשיקה על השפתיים.
27 הכן מלאכתך בחוץ.
הכן לך בשדה.
אחר כך בנה את ביתך.
28 אל תהיה עד ברעך ללא סיבה.
אל תרמה בשפתיך.
29 אל תאמר, "אעשה לו כפי שעשה לי;
אשלם לאיש כמעשהו."
30 עברתי על שדה העצל,
על כרם איש חסר תבונה;
31 הנה, כולו מכוסה קוצים.
פניו מכוסים סרפד,
וחומת האבנים שלו נשברה.
32 אז ראיתי, ואחשוב היטב.
ראיתי וקבלתי הוראה: 33 מעט שינה, מעט תנומה,
מעט קיפול ידיים לישון;
34 אז יבוא עוניך כשודד,
ומחסורך כאיש חמוש.

טז:לז וַיַּשְׁאִיר שָׁם, לפני ארון ברית ה', את אסף ואת אחיו לשרת לפני הארון תמיד כמעשה יום יום. לח ואת עבד אדום ואת אחיו ששים ושמונה ואת עבד אדום בן ידיטון וחושה לשומרי דלת. ט ואת צדוק הכהן ואת אחיו הכהנים לפני אהל ה' בבמה אשר בגבעון. מ' להקריב עלות לה' על מזבח העולה תמיד בוקר וערב ככל הכתוב בתורת ה' אשר צוה לישראל. מא ועמם המן וידתונן ושאר הנבחרים אשר נזכרו בשמם להודות ליהוה כי לעולם חסדו; מב ועמם המן וידתונן בחצוצרות ובמצלתיים לתרועת קולות ובכלי שיר אלהים ובני ידיתונן בשער. מג וכל העם הלך איש לביתו ודוד שב לברך את ביתו.
יז:א ויהי כאשר דוד גר בביתו ויאמר דוד אל נתן הנביא הנה אני יושב בבית ארזים וארון ברית ה' יושב תחת יריעות. ב ויאמר נתן אל דוד כל אשר בלבבך עשה כי אלהים עמך ג ויהי בלילה ההוא ויהי דבר אלהים אל נתן לאמר: 4 לך ואמרת לדוד עבדי כה אמר יהוה לא תבנה לי בית לשבת בו: 5 כי לא גרתי בבית למן היום אשר העליתי את ישראל עד היום הזה, כי הלכתי מאוהל אל אוהל ומאוהל אל אחר. 6 בכל המקום אשר התהלכתי עם כל ישראל, דברתי דבר עם אחד משופטי ישראל אשר צויתי לרעות את עמי לאמר: למה לא בניתם לי בית ארזים? 7 ועתה כה אמרת עבדי לדוד: כה אמר יהוה צבאות, לקחתי אותך מדרא הצאן, מאחר הצאן, למען תהיה נגיד על עמי ישראל. 8 והייתי עמך בכל אשר הלכת, והכרתי את כל אויביך מפניך; וְעָשִׂיתִי לְךָ שֵׁם כְּשֵׁם הַגְּדוֹלִים אֲשֶׁר בָּאָרֶץ. ט וְאָשִׂמְנָה מָקוֹם לְעַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנִטְעָהוּ וְשָׁכְנָה בָּמוֹתָם וְלֹא יְנוּעוּ עוֹסְפוּ וְלֹא יַסְפוּ בְנֵי רָשָׁע כְּרֵאשָׁנָה. י וְכֵן מֵהַיּוֹם אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִי שׁוֹפְטִים עַל עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְכַכְנַעְתִּי אֶת־כָּל־אוֹיְבֶיךָ וְאָעֲמִידְתִּיךָ כִּי־יְהִי בַּיִת. יא וְהָיָה כִּי־מִלָּאָה יְמִיךָ וּלְכֹל־אֲבוֹתֶיךָ וְאָעֲמִידִי מַמְלָכֶךָ אֲשֶׁר־יְהוּא אַחֲרֵיךָ אֲשֶׁר־יְהִי מִבְּנֶיךָ וְאָכְנִי מַמְלָכְתּוֹ. ב הוּא יְבַנָּה לִי בַּיִת וְכֹנִידִי מִכִּסְאוֹ עוֹלָם. יג אהיה לו לאב והוא יהיה לי לבן ולא אסר חסדִי ממנו כאשר סרתי ממנו אשר היה לפניך. יד וַאֲשִׁיבֵּהוּ בְּבֵיתִי וּבְמַלְכִּי עוֹלָם וְכִסְאוֹ יִהְיֶה נָכוֹן עוֹלָם. 15 ככל הדברים האלה וככל החזון הזה כן דבר נתן אל דוד. 16 ויבוא דוד המלך וישב לפני יהוה ויאמר מי אני יהוה אלוהים ומה ביתי כי הבאתני עד הסוף. 17 קטן היה הדבר בעיניך אלוהים כי דברת על בית עבדך לימים רבים וכבמד איש רם ראיתני יהוה אלוהים. 18 מה עוד יוכל דוד לומר לך על הכבוד אשר נעשה לעבדך כי אתה ידעת את עבדך. 19 יהוה, למען עבדך וכלבבך עשית את כל הגדולה הזאת להודיע את כל הגדולות האלה. 20 ה' אין כמוך ואין אלהים מלבדך ככל אשר שמענו באוזנינו. 21 מי גוי אחד בארץ כעמך ישראל אשר הלך אלהים לגאול לו לעם לעשות לך שם גדולות ונוראיות לגרש גויים מפני עמך אשר אתה גאול ממצרים? 22 כי את עמך ישראל נתת לך לעם לעולם ואתה ה' הייתה להם לאלהים. 23 ועתה ה' יכון הדבר אשר דברת על עבדך ועל ביתו לעולם ועשית כאשר דברת. 24 יכון וגדל שמך לעולם לאמר ה' צבאות אלהי ישראל אלהים לישראל ובית דוד עבדך יכון לפניך. 25 כי אתה אלוהי גלית לעבדך כי תבנה לו בית על כן מצא עבדך להתפלל לפניך. 26 עתה יהוה אתה אלוהים ודברת לעבדך את הדבר הטוב הזה.27 ועתה חפץ לברך את בית עבדך למען יהיה לעולם לפניך כי אתה ה' ברכת והוא מבורך לעולם.
18:1 אחרי כן ויגע דוד את הפלשתים ויכנע אותם ויקח את גת ואת עריה מיד הפלשתים. 2 ויגע את מואב והיו המואבים לעבדים לדוד ומביאים מנחה. 3 הכה דוד את חדעזר מלך צובה עד חמת בהלך להקים את ממלכתו בנהר פרת. 4 ויקח דוד ממנו אלף רכב ושבעת אלפים פרשים ועשרים אלף רגלי וחתך דוד את כל סוסי הרכב והשאיר מהם מאה רכבות. 5 ויבוא ארם דמשק לעזור להדדעזר מלך צובה ויך דוד בארם עשרים ושנים אלף איש. ו וישים דוד בארם דמשק, והארם היו לעבדים לדוד, ויביאו מנחה, ויהוה נתן לדוד ישועה בכל אשר הלך. ז ויקח דוד את מגני הזהב אשר על עבדי חדעזר, ויביאם ירושלים. ח מתבחת ומכון ערי חדעזר, לקח דוד נחשת הרבה מאוד, אשר עשה שלמה את ים הנחשת, ואת העמודים ואת כלי הנחשת. ט וישמע תוע מלך חמת כי הכה דוד את כל צבא חדעזר מלך צובה. י וישלח את הדורם בנו אל המלך דוד לברכו ולברכו, כי נלחם בהדדעזר והיכהו, כי לחדדעזר היו מלחמות עם תוע, וכל כלי זהב, כסף ונחשת היו עמו. יא גם את אלה הקדיש המלך דוד לה' עם הכסף והזהב אשר נשא מכל הגויים מאדום וממואב ומבני עמון ומפלשתים ומעמלק. יב וגם אבישי בן צרויה הכה את אדום בגיא המלח שמונה עשרה אלף. יג והוא שם מצבים באדום וכל אדום היו עבדים לדוד. ויתן ה' תשועה לדוד בכל אשר הלך. יד דוד מלך על כל ישראל ועשה משפט וצדקה לכל עמו. טו יואב בן צרויה על הצבא ויהושפט בן אחילוד מזכיר. טז וצדוק בן אחיטוב ואבימלך בן אביתר כהנים ושבשה סופר. יז ובניה בן יהוידע על הכרתי ועל הפלתי ובני דוד ראשים סביב המלך
הברית החדשה: רומים ב':1-24
ב':1 לכן, אדם, מי שאתה שופט, אין לך תירוץ. כי במה שאתה שופט אחר, אתה מרשיע את עצמך. כי אתה, השופט, עושה את אותם הדברים.
2 אנחנו יודעים שמשפט אלוהים הוא על פי האמת נגד אלה שעושים דברים כאלה.
3 אתה יודע זאת, אדם השופט את אלה שעושים דברים כאלה ועושים אותם דברים, שתמלט ממשפט אלוהים?
4 או שאתה בז לעושר טובו, סבלנותו וסבלנותו, ולא יודע שטובו של אלוהים מוביל אותך לתשובה?
5 אלא על פי קשיחותך ולבך חסר התשובה אתה אוצר לעצמך זעם ביום זעמו וגילוי משפט הצדק של אלוהים;
6 אשר "ישלם לכל אדם כמעשיו":
7 לאלה שבסבלנות במעשים טובים מחפשים כבוד, כבוד ותמימות, חיי נצח; 8 אבל לאלה המחפשים אנוכיים, שאינם מצייתים לאמת, אלא מצייתים לרעה, יהיה זעם וזעם,
9 דיכוי וייסורים, על כל נפש אדם שעושה רע, על היהודי בראשונה, וגם על היבני.
10 אבל כבוד ושלום לכל אדם שעושה טוב, ליהודים בראשונה, וגם ליבני.
11 כי אין משוא פנים עם אלוהים.
12 כי כל מי שחטא ללא תורה יאבד גם ללא תורה. כל מי שחטא תחת התורה יישפטו על פי התורה. 13 כי לא שומעי התורה צדיקים לפני אלוהים, אלא עושי התורה יצדקו.
14 (כי כאשר גויים שאין להם תורה עושים מטבעם את דברי התורה, אלה, שאין להם תורה, הם תורה לעצמם.
15 בכך שהם מראים את מעשה התורה כתוב בלבם, מצפונם מעיד עמם, ומחשבותיהם בינם לבין עצמם מאשימות או מתנצלות אותם.)
16 ביום אשר אלוהים ישפוט את סודות בני האדם, על פי בשורי הטוב, על ידי ישוע המשיח. 17 אכן אתה נושא שם יהודי, ואתה נשען על התורה, ומתהלל באלוהים,
18 ואתה יודע את רצונו, ואת הדברים הטובים, בהיותך נלמד מן התורה,
19 ואתה בטוח שאתה עצמך מורה דרך לעיוורים, אור לאלו שבחושך,
20 מתקן טיפשים, מורה לילדים, כי בתורה יש לך צורת דעת ואמת.
21 לכן אתה המלמד אחרים, האם אינך מלמד את עצמך? אתה המטיף שלא יגנוב, האם אתה גונב?
22 אתה האומר שלא ינאף, האם אתה נואף? אתה המתעב אלילים, האם אתה שודד מקדשים?
23 אתה המתהלל בתורה, האם באי ציותך לתורה אתה מבזה את אלוהים?
24 כי "שם אלוהים מחולל בקרב הגויים בגללכם", כפי שכתוב.
John 3:16-21 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, F that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. G 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
