PSALMS: 28
1 To you, LORD, I call.
My rock, don't be deaf to me;
Lest, if you are silent to me,
I would become like those who go down into the pit.
2 Hear the voice of my petitions, when I cry to you,
When I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.
3 Don't draw me away with the wicked,
With the workers of iniquity who speak shalom with their neighbors,
But mischief is in their hearts.
4 Give them according to their work,
and according to the wickedness of their doings.
Give them according to the operation of their hands.
Bring back on them what they deserve.
5 Because they don't regard the works of the LORD,
Nor the operation of his hands,
He will break them down and not build them up.
6 Blessed be the LORD,
Because he has heard the voice of my petitions.
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield.
My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped.
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices.
With my song I will thank him.
8 The LORD is their strength.
He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.
9 Save your people, and bless your inheritance.
Be their shepherd also, and bear them up forever.
PSALMS: 58
1 Do you indeed speak righteousness, silent ones?
Do you judge blamelessly, you sons of men?
2 No, in your heart you plot injustice.
You measure out the violence of your hands in the eretz.
3 The wicked go astray from the womb.
They are wayward as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
4 Their poison is like the poison of a snake;
Like a deaf cobra that stops its ear,
5 Which doesn't listen to the voice of charmers,
No matter how skillful the charmer may be.
6Break their teeth, God, in their mouth.
Break out the great teeth of the young lions, LORD.
7 Let them vanish as water that flows away.
When they draw the bow, let their arrows be made blunt.
8 Let them be as a snail which melts and passes away,
Like the stillborn child, who has not seen the sun.
9 Before your pots can feel the thorns,
He will sweep away, the green and the burning alike.
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance.
He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked;
11 So that men shall say, "Most assuredly there is a reward for the righteous.
Most assuredly there is a God who judges the eretz."
PSALMS: 88
1 LORD, the God of my salvation,
I have cried day and night before you.
2 Let my prayer enter into your presence.
Turn your ear to my cry.
3 For my soul is full of troubles.
My life draws near to She'ol.
4 I am counted among those who go down into the pit.
I am like a man who has no help,
5 Set apart among the dead,
Like the slain who lie in the grave,
Whom you remember no more.
They are cut off from your hand.
6 You have laid me in the lowest pit,
In the darkest depths.
7 Your wrath lies heavily on me.
You have afflicted me with all your waves.
Selah.
8 You have taken my friends from me.
You have made me an abomination to them.
I am confined, and I can't escape.
9 My eyes are dim from grief.
I have called on you daily, LORD.
I have spread out my hands to you.
10 Do you show wonders to the dead?
Do the dead rise up and praise you? Selah.
11 Is your loving kindness declared in the grave?
Or your faithfulness in Destruction?
12 Are your wonders made known in the dark?
Or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13 But to you, LORD, I have cried.
In the morning, my prayer comes before you.
14 LORD, why do you reject my soul?
Why do you hide your face from me?
15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up.
While I suffer your terrors, I am distracted.
16 Your fierce wrath has gone over me.
Your terrors have cut me off.
17 They came around me like water all day long.
They completely engulfed me.
18 You have put lover and friend far from me,
And my friends into darkness.
PSALMS: 148
1 Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD from the heavens!
Praise him in the heights!
2 Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all his host!
3 Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you shining stars!
4 Praise him, you heavens of heavens,
You waters that are above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, ‘
For he commanded, and they were created.
6 He has also established them forever and ever.
He has made a decree which will not pass away.
7 Praise the LORD from the eretz,
You great sea creatures, and all depths!
8 Lightning and hail, snow and clouds;
Stormy wind, fulfilling his word;
9 Mountains and all hills;
Fruit trees and all cedars;
10 Wild animals and all cattle;
Small creatures and flying birds;
11 Kings of the eretz and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the eretz;
12 Both young men and maidens;
Old men and children:
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD,
For his name alone is exalted.
His glory is above the eretz and the heavens.
14 He has lifted up the horn of his people,
The praise of all his holy ones;
Even of the children of Yisra'el, a people near to him.

PROVERBS: 28
1 The wicked flee when no one pursues;
But the righteous are as bold as a lion.
2 In rebellion, a land has many rulers,
But order is maintained by a man of understanding and knowledge.
3 A needy man who oppresses the poor
Is like a driving rain which leaves no crops.
4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked;
But those who keep the law contend with them.
5 Evil men don't understand justice;
But those who seek the LORD understand it fully.
6 Better is the poor who walks in his integrity,
Than he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich.
7 Whoever keeps the law is a wise son;
But he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father.
8 He who increases his wealth by excessive interest
Gathers it for one who has pity on the poor.
9 He who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
Even his prayer is an abomination.
10 Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way,
He will fall into his own trap;
But the blameless will inherit good.
11 The rich man is wise in his own eyes;
But the poor who has understanding sees through him.
12 When the righteous triumph, there is great glory;
But when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.
13 He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper,
But whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
14 Blessed is the man who always fears;
But one who hardens his heart falls into trouble.
15 As a roaring lion or a charging bear,
So is a wicked ruler over helpless people.
16 The ruler who lacks judgment is a great tyrant.
One who hates ill-gotten gain will have long days.
17 A man who is tormented by life blood will be a fugitive until death;
No one will support him.
18 Whoever walks blamelessly is kept safe;
But one with perverse ways will fall suddenly.
19 One who works his land will have an abundance of food;
But one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
20 A faithful man is rich with blessings;
But one who is eager to be rich will not go unpunished.
21 To show partiality is not good;
Yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.
22 A stingy man hurries after riches,
And doesn't know that poverty waits for him.
23 One who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor
Than one who flatters with the tongue.
24 Whoever robs his father or his mother, and says,
"It's not wrong."
He is a partner with a destroyer.
25 One who is greedy stirs up strife;
But one who trusts in the LORD will prosper.
26 One who trusts in himself is a fool;
But one who walks in wisdom, he is kept safe.
27 One who gives to the poor has no lack;
But one who closes his eyes will have many curses.
28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves;
But when they perish, the righteous thrive.

26:12 Of these were the courses of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the house of the LORD. 13 They cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to their fathers' houses, for every gate. 14 The lot eastward fell to Shelemyahu. Then for Zekharyah his son, a discreet counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward. 15 To `Oved-'Edom southward; and to his sons the store-house. 16 To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goes up, watch against watch. 17 Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the store-house two and two. 18 For Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar. 19 These were the courses of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korchi, and of the sons of Merari. 20 Of the Levites, Achiyah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things. 21 The sons of La`dan, the sons of the Gershoni belonging to La`dan, the heads of the fathers' [houses] belonging to La`dan the Gershonite: Yechie'li. 22 The sons of Yechie'li: Zetham, and Yo'el his brother, over the treasures of the house of the LORD. 23 Of the `Amrami, of the Izharites, of the Hevroni, of the `Uzzi'eli: 24 and Shevu'el the son of Gershom, the son of Moshe, was ruler over the treasures. 25 His brothers: of Eli`ezer [came] Rechavyah his son, and Yesha`yah his son, and Yoram his son, and Zikhri his son, and Shelomit his son. 26 This Shelomit and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers' [houses], the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated. 27 Out of the spoil won in battles did they dedicate to repair the house of the LORD. 28 All that Shemu'el the seer, and Sha'ul the son of Kish, and Aviner the son of Ner, and Yo'av the son of Tzeru'yah, had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomit, and of his brothers. 29 Of the Izharites, Kananyah and his sons were for the outward business over Yisra'el, for officers and judges. 30 Of the Hevroni, Hashavyah and his brothers, men of valor, one thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Yisra'el beyond the Yarden westward, for all the business of the LORD, and for the service of the king. 31 Of the Hevroni was Yeriyah the chief, even of the Hevroni, according to their generations by fathers' [houses]. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Ya`zer of Gil`ad. 32 His brothers, men of valor, were two thousand and seven hundred, heads of fathers' [houses], whom king David made overseers over the Re'uveni, and the Gadi, and the half-tribe of the Manashshi, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
27:1 Now the children of Yisra'el after their number, [to wit], the heads of fathers' [houses] and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers who served the king, in any matter of the courses which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year-of every course were twenty-four thousand. 2 Over the first course for the first month was Yashov`am the son of Zavdi'el: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 3 [He was] of the children of Peretz, the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month. 4 Over the course of the second month was Dodo the Achochi, and his course; and Miklot the ruler: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 5 The third captain of the host for the third month was Benayah, the son of Yehoiada the Kohen, chief: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 6 This is that Benayah, who was the mighty man of the thirty, and over the thirty: and [of] his course was `Ammizavad his son. 7 The fourth [captain] for the fourth month was `Asa'el the brother of Yo'av, and Zevadyah his son after him: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 8 The fifth captain for this fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 9 The sixth [captain] for the sixth month was `Ira the son of `Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 10 The seventh [captain] for the seventh month was Heletz the Pelonite, of the children of Efrayim: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 11 The eighth [captain] for the eighth month was Sibbekhai the Hushatite, of the Zarchi: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 12 The ninth [captain] for the ninth month was Avi-Ezer the `Antotite, of the Binyamini: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 13 The tenth [captain] for the tenth month was Maharai the Netofatite, of the Zarchi: and in his course were Twenty-four thousand. 14 The eleventh [captain] for the eleventh month was Benayah the Pir`atonite, of the children of Efrayim: and in his course were Twenty-four thousand. 15 The twelfth [captain] for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netofatite, of `Otni'el: and in his course were twenty-four thousand. 16 Furthermore over the tribes of Yisra'el: of the Re'uveni was Eli`ezer the son of Zikhri the ruler: of the Shim`oni, Shefatyah the son of Ma`akhah: 17 of Levi, Hashavyah the son of Kemu'el: of Aharon, Tzadok: 18 of Yehudah, Elihu, one of the brothers of David: of Yissakhar, `Omri the son of Mikha'el: 19 of Zevulun, Yishma`yahu the son of `Ovadyah: of Naftali, Yeremot the son of `Azri'el: 20 of the children of Efrayim, Hoshea the son of `Azazyahu: of the half-tribe of Menashsheh, Yo'el the son of Pedayahu: 21 of the half -[tribe] of Menashsheh in Gil`ad, `Iddo the son of Zekharyah: of Binyamin, Ya`asi'el the son of Aviner: 22 of Dan, `Azar'el the son of Yerocham. These were the captains of the tribes of Yisra'el. 23 But David didn't take the number of them from twenty years old and under, because the LORD had said he would increase Yisra'el like the stars of the sky. 24 Yo'av the son of Tzeru'yah began to number, but didn't finish; and there came wrath for this on Yisra'el; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David. 25 Over the king's treasures was `Azmavet the son of `Adi'el: and over the treasures in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Yonatan the son of `Uzziyah: 26 Over those who did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was `Ezri the son of Kelub: 27 and over the vineyards was Shim`i the Ramatite: and over the increase of the vineyards for the wine-cellars was Zavdi the Shifmite: 28 and over the olive trees and the sycamore trees that were in the lowland was Ba`al-Hanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Yo'ash: 29 and over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shirtai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shafat the son of `Adlai: 30 and over the camels was Ovil the Yishme`elite: and over the donkeys was Yechdeyahu the Meronotite: and over the flocks was Yaziz the Hagrite. 31 All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David's. 32 Also Yonatan, David's uncle, was a counselor, a man of understanding, and a Sofer: and Yechi'el the son of Hakhmoni was with the king's sons: 33 Achitofel was the king's counselor: and Hushai the Arki was the king's friend: 34 and after Achitofel was Yehoiada the son of Benayah, and Avyatar: and the captain of the king's host was Yo'av.
NEW TESTAMENT: ROMANS 4:13 - 5:5
4:13 For not through the law was the promise to Avraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect. 15 For the law works wrath, for where there is no law, neither is there disobedience. 16 For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace, to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Avraham, who is the father of us all. 17 As it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations." This is before him whom he believed, God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were. 18 Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, "So will your seed be." 19 Without being weakened in faith, he didn't consider his own body, already having been worn out, (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. 20 Yet, looking to the promise of God, he didn't waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 Therefore it also was "reckoned to him for righteousness." 23 Now it was not written that it was accounted to him for his sake alone, 24 but for our sake also, to whom it will be accounted, who believe in him who raised Yeshua, our Lord, from the dead, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.
5:1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have shalom with God through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah; 2 through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: 5 and hope doesn't disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Ruach HaKodesh who was given to us.

3 אל תמשכני עם רשעים,
עם פועלי עוולות, דברי שלום עם רעיהם,
ורעה בלבם. 4 תן להם כמעשהם,
וכרעת מעשיהם.
תן להם כמעשה ידיהם.
השב להם את אשר להם.
5 כי לא ראו מעשי ה',
ולא מעשה ידיו,
הוא יהרוס אותם ולא יבנה אותם.

כי שמע קול תחנוני.

בו בטח לבי ואעזר.

1 האם צדק תדברו, שותקים? האם תשפטו בני אדם ללא דופי?
2 לא, בלבבכם תזממו עוול. אלימות ידיכם תמדדו בארץ.
3 רשעים תועים מרחם. תועים מלידתם, מדברים שקר.
4 ארסם כרעל נחש; כקוברה חירש אשר אוטם את אוזנו,
5 אשר לא ישמע לקול חשפנים,
וכמה חכם חשפנים יהיה.
6 שבר שינם, אלוהים, בפיהם. שבר את שיני אריות צעירים, יהוה.
7 ייעלדו כמים זרמים. כאשר ישלפו קשת, יהפכו חיציהם קהים.
8 יהיו כחילזון נמס ועובר,
כמו ילד מת, אשר לא ראה שמש.
9 בטרם ירגישו סיריכם את הקוצים,
הוא יטאטא, את הירוק ואת הבוער כאחד.
10 צדיק ישמח בראותו נקמה.
הוא ירחץ רגליו בדם רשעים;
11 למען יאמרו: "אמנם יש שכר לצדיק.
אמנם יש אלוהים שופט את הארץ."

1 יהוה אלוהי ישעי,
אזעקתי לפניך יומם ולילה.
2 תבוא תפילתי לפניך. הטה אזנך לצעקתי.
3 כי מלאה צרות נפשי. קרבו חיי שאול.
4 אני נחשב ליורדים בבור. אני כאדם שאין לו עזרה,
5 במתים מופרד,
כחללים השוכבים בקבר,
אשר לא תזכור עוד. מידך נכרתו.
6 הנחתני בבור תחתית,
במצולות אפלות.
7 חמתך כבדה עליי. בכל גליך עניתני. סלה.
8 לקחת את רעיי ממני. שתועב אותי להם. כלוא אני ולא אוכל להימלט.
9 עיני כהות מיגון. קראתי לך יום, ה'. פרשתי ידי אליך. 10 הַמִּתְרָאִי פְּלָתִים לְמֵתִים? הַמִּתִּים קוֹמוּ וַהַלֵּלְךָ? סֶלָה. 11 הַגִּידוּ בְּקַבָּל חַסְדֶּךָ? אוֹ אֱמוּנְתָּךְ בְּאֶחָד? 12 הַגִּידוּ נִפְלָאתֶיךָ בַּחֲשֶׁךָ? אוֹ צַדְקֶתְךָ בְּאֶרֶץ שִׁכְחָה? 13 אֵלֶיךָ ה' אֶצְעַק. בְּבֹקֶר תָּבֹא תְּפִלָּתִי לְפָנֶיךָ. 14 ה', מַדּוּעַ תְּדַחֵּה נַפְשִׁי? מַדּוּע תִּסְתִּיר פָּנֶיךָ מִמִּי? 15 עָנִי וְמוּת מֵנְעוּרִי. אֲשֶׁר אֶת-פְּעָרֶיךָ אֲנִי מִסְתַּחְתָּ. 16 חַר זַעְתָּךָ עָבָר עָלָי. פְּעָרֶיךָ גָרְצוּנִי. 17 כַּמָּהִים סִבְּנִי כָּל הַיּוֹם. הם אפפו אותי כליל.
18 הרחקתם ממני אוהב ורע,
ואת רעיי בחושך.

1 הללו את ה'! הלו את ה' מן השמים! הלו אותו במרומים!
2 הללו אותו כל מלאכיו! הלו אותו כל צבאו!
3 הללו אותו שמש וירח! הלו אותו כל כוכבים זוהרים!
4 הלו אותו שמי השמים,
מים אשר מעל השמים.
5 יהללו את שם ה', '
כי צוה ונבראו.
6 והקים אותם לנצח נצחים. גזר גזירה לא תעבור.
7 הללו את ה' מן הארץ,
חיות ים גדולות וכל המצולות!
8 ברק וברד, שלג ועננים;
רוח סערה, מקיים דברו;
ט הרים וכל הגבעות; עצי פרי וכל ארזים;
10 חיות בר וכל בהמות; חיות קטנות ועופות מעופפות;
11 מלכי הארץ וכל העמים; נסיכים וכל שופטי הארץ;
12 בחורים ובתולים; זקנים וטף:
13 יהללו שם ה',
כי שמו לבדו נשאה. כבודו על הארץ ועל השמים.
14 הרים קרנו לעמו,
תהילת כל קדושיו; ולבני ישראל עם קרוב אליו. הודו לה'!
משלי: 28
1 רשעים נוסים כי אין רודף; וצדיקים עזים כאריה.
2 במרד, ארץ מרובה שליטים,
אבל הסדר נשמר על ידי איש בינה וידע.
3 איש עני מדכא עניים
כגשם שוטף שאינו משאיר יבול.
4 עוזבי תורה משבחים רשעים;
ושומרי תורה יתווכחו איתם.
5 אנשי רעה אינם מבינים צדק;
ודוחקי ה' מבינים אותו במלואו.
6 טוב עני ההולך בתמימותו,
מאשר עוטה בדרכיו והוא עשיר.
7 בן חכם שומר תורה;
וחבר זללנים מביש את אביו.
8 המגדיל את עושרו בריבית יתרה
אוסף אותו למען רחם עניים.
9 המסית את אוזנו משמיעת תורה,
אפילו תפילתו תועבה היא. 10 מי שיגרום ישרים לתעות בדרך רעה,
יפול במלכודתו;
והתמים יירשו טוב.
11 עשיר חכם בעיני עצמו;
ועני משכיל רואה דרכו.
12 בכשצדיקים מנצחים, יש כבוד גדול;
וכאשר רשעים קמים, אנשים מסתתרים.
13 מי שמסתיר את חטאיו לא ישגשג,
והודה ומתנער מהם מוצא רחמים.
14 אשרי האיש שירא תמיד;
והמקשה את ליבו יפול בצרה.
15 כאריה שואג או כדוב רודף,
כן שליט רשע על עם חסר אונים.
16 שליט חסר שיפוט הוא עריץ גדול. מי ששונא רווחים רעים, ימים ארוכים.
17 איש המעונה בדם חיים יהיה פליט עד מוות;
איש לא יתמוך בו.
18 הולך בתמימות יינצל;
אבל אדם בעל דרכים מעוותות ייפול פתאום.
19 עובד אדמתו יזכה בשפע מזון;
אבל רודף חלומות ישבע את עוני.
20 איש נאמן עשיר בברכות;
אבל מי שמשתוקק להתעשר לא ייענש.
21 לגלות משוא פנים לא טוב;
אך אדם יעשה עוול בשביל פת לחם.
22 קמצן ממהר אחרי עושר,
ולא ידע כי עוני מחכה לו.
23 מוכיח באדם ימצא אחר כך חן רב יותר
ממחניף לשון.
24 כל אשר גוזל את אביו ואת אמו, ואומר,
"אין זה פסול."
הוא שותף עם משחית.
25 חמדן מחריב ריב;
אך בטוח ביהוה ישגשג.
26 בטוח בעצמו הוא כסיל;
אך ההולך בחכמה, הוא נשמר.
27 נותן לעני לא יחסר;
אך עוצם עיניו יהיו לו קללות רבות.
28 בקומם רשעים, אנשים מסתתרים;
אך באבדם, צדיקים משגשגים.
